60-65p would be a fair price IMHO.

Counter bid coming?

Thanks chelsworth - intriguing. Will be interesting to see if we have a response from the company in the morning.

Yes there seems to be stock available this morning petewy...I lightened my trading position by 10k earlier as a result. Still optimistic of reaching 30s in next few days though.

Going into the close @ 27.0-28.5 I couldn't get a quote for buying 1k shares but could still sell 30k comfortably inside the market Bid quote.

Hopefully bodes well for tomorrow.

About time XPD joined in with the market bounce. Shares in short supply currently (can only buy 7500 @ 26p online whereas can sell at least 30k @ 24p).

Hopefully we'll suddenly vault over 30p in the not too distant...chart looking primed imo

I sold out at a profit before the war kicked off. Now it is ridiculously cheap but like so many shares punters aren't buying. Even if it pays 1p dividend it may not move.

Simon Thompson IC said sell after results last September:

and shares dropped again from 30+ to 20+-.

The last trading update shows a massive turnaround and another article but with a Buy from ST.

Gap to fill at 33p so see it going to that in st as less damage done than expected.

G23 - Agree Q3 trading update was a pleasant surprise seems they are indeed cracking on and running on full pressure in must tires now with all wheels spinning in the final best quarter of the year still to be completed if this sales momentum continues the halfway mark 500m is within reach soon and at that point, I would expect the share price to leap faster and further above 50p I am still holding for the longer term and 2023 look promising with the new warehouse in Rosendal to come on line. Expects profits in 2023 to be in the teens and return to paying dividends hopefully.

...and after all that, they issue a Q3 trading update anyway :)

Must admit my heart sank when I saw it was a trading update but was pleasantly surprised when I read it -

- reiteration of confidence in the £9m adjusted PBT ("comfortably on track")
- increased cash generation (albeit to be used to reduce payables not debt)
- stabilised debt position (had accelerated in H1 22 but forecast to be unchanged H2)
- strong demand across all 3 divisions
- encouraging early signs for turnaround of UK businesses

With a supportive wider market backdrop I would hope to see XPD back in the 30s before long.

G23 - Thanks for the heads up likewise time to let them crack on and hopefully get the debt under control for the new year here is hoping it's only 3 months away :-)

Hi svend...I heard back from the company this morning. They will not be issuing a Q3 update as it's not what they do, which is fair enough, particularly as we've effectively just had an update.

So we are left with the comments from the IMC presentation which expressed management confidence that, after the strong start to H2, expectations of £9m pbt will be met.

I was assured that should expectations change then the market would be updated (as you'd expect).

I'll go into 'no news is good news' mode while waiting for the full year update in Jan 23.

g23 - to be honest I am reeling and very disapoineted as the question(s) I raised at/after the half-year results have not been publicly posted as was promised I find this non-encouraging but I look forward to the Q3 update if it arrives as an alternative encouragement.
