PW, Will you stand by "never had the chance to buy at the placing price and I doubt if they ever will."?

supernumery - "The more important question is how did they sell what is now a large majority holding in the company without anyone outside knowing who bought it?"

The shares are not admitted to the official list until 25/03/2024. If there is no TR1 next week it means the shares went to the MM who then sold them onto PIs. MM, nomads, brokers and any financial institutions involved in share placings do not have to declare their holdings.

The more important question is how did they sell what is now a large majority holding in the company without anyone outside knowing who bought it? A new low even for AIM. On a quick scan there's been only 1 TR-1 in the last 2 years, and that was immediately withdrawn as incorrect.

I must say, though, that I applaud the indifference of existing shareholders - if you find yourself in a car crash best to be asleep when it happens :¬) It's pretty clear that's Hodges view - just ignore the problem and wait for it to go away...

Use Control F once you have clicked to open the link. Vary the search term for endless fun - for example 'who are you going to believe', one of my all time favourites.

Once upon a time there was some mighty big believing going on here.

"I for one believe the current team genuinely want to make a success of the business and be pioneers in the UK graphene industry. Unlike share price I don't believe they are simply picking up where NR left off."

QED.

It is a powerful driver.

Never EVER underestimate the number, longevity, stupidity, obstinacy, delusion or the will to be driven into utter penury of your average mug punter. Their silence must not be misconstrued as defeat. Their appetite for belief, fantasy and dreams of avarice are no match for mere reason, logic and critical thinking. Just because they are quiet does not mean they are not averaging down on a weekly basis.

Belief and imagination are powerful drivers of the gullible. That is why we have religion, football, political parties and other form of tribalism. It is to engender a feeling of belonging- to wit #VRS family. There is even one who refers to himself as the Verger for gawd's sake.

Those belonging to such teams will even identify themselves as the "decents" or givers, whereas all others are merely shorters, TWs, scumbags, takers, spokespeople for international cabals hell bent on bringing down BRITISH companies or even child torturers no less.

Any help proffered via irony or parody to expose the naivety of the gullibles is seen as support for the imbecilic cause. It is an embrace of comfort to be surrounded by others of a similar idiotic ilk then to be lambasted for the same.

All PW does is to offer a Johnny come (very) lately schtick in a long list of pied pipers to finally drive them over the edge.

The Cronk - "PW, "VRS does not have an unlimited supply of PI mug shareholders. Oh yes it does!"

There is a direct correlation between the supply of mug PIs an AIM company has and the number of daily comments on the bulletin boards.

It's been the same posters on the ADVFN two threads for the past year and on LSE chat VRS gets only one post a day if that.

Companies that have an endless supply of mug PIs can get up to 300 posts a day on LSE chat without any specific news.

PW,

"VRS does not have an unlimited supply of PI mug shareholders."

Oh yes it does!

Plus a group of posters who have seen the value of the shares drop from £1.80 to a fraction of a penny without a word of criticism or protest, ever!!!

VRA mug shareholders are unique in their worship of a company that must have cost most of them an absolute fortune!!!

Might not need a pile of cash to be signed off as a going but the ability to fund itself such as sales or agreed credit facilities are certainly a requirement whereas another 6 fund raisings at an unknown price would not be classed as sufficient.

The question is who has stumped up 615k to buy into well over 50% of the company? While the rest of us have been diluted out others were happy to come up with the cash to back Versarien. What do they know that we don't ?Is it possible that rock bottom has been reached ?When will we see a RNS ?Answers on a postcard please

PWhite: Just ask them to list one single positive item since they started their "turnaround project". The cunning reply will be: "We managed to raise £600k ... for the turnaround project". And life continues as usual and the earth still spinning around itself and turning around the sun too. The turnaround magic as usual.

fuji99 - I believe we will know for sure very soon. The results are due out on or before next Thursday. They would have the interim period for trading under their belts from 01/10/23 - 31/03/24.

The new shares hit the markets on Monday so who knows there may be a TR1 for a strategic holder.

The forward looking statement in next weeks results will define where this company goes from here.

At the start, they attempted to bluff their way through with "Water Cooled Computers", when everybody were scratching their heads, they forgot about it. Then comes this "3 tonne machine, working at full pelt, around the clock". Out of the blue all is forgotten. And now they finally admit and say: We don't do anything, there is no factory but we just wait for multi IP's to mature and collect the dividends - all of this while they are still raising funds. What the hell is complicated to not undertand the real outcome or the type of people "running" this dead dog ?

PWhite: " "longer-term strategy for the business". - My clear understanding is that the only "long term strategy" is how long they can keep raising more money to cover their salaries and their hobbies. The rest is just ginding wind.
