21/7/2020 12:41 | I'm laughing at some of the comments on here where it's evident the intention of some and I'm perplexed that they seem to claim to be shareholders but only slate the company and staffIf the employees have options so be it. The more money the company is worth the better it is for them so they work really hard to benefit the company and when they do they are rewarded. What is wrong with that?I want the team to work hard. I want them to be incentivised. I want them to be rewarded as if they add to the value of the company we all win.I know nooothing | mavfav

21/7/2020 12:35 | Andy, if Chris Leigh decided to exercise those options today, he would walk away with a clear profit of circa £700,000. He has decided not to exercise those options at current share price levels and, therefore, has not yet decided to grab that £700,000 in cash that is now available to him. I suspect £700,000 is a lot of equity / potential cash for Chris to risk in VRS but, given the information he has, he appears to have decided that he is willing to keep that £700,000 equity pot effectively in VRS, from which I infer that he expects the VRS share price to move north from here... I would view £700,000 as 'skin in the game', but I accept your point that he has been awarded those options back in 2014 and 2017. But, to me, I am just looking at the financial exposure Chris has now got to VRS share price movements - by my calculations, Chris effective net worth increases (or decreases) by £36,000 for every 1pence movement in the VRS share price. To my eye, that's a decent degree of confidence being shown by the FD. | holidayfunds8
21/7/2020 12:28 | Oh c'mon rayfenn. Neill has done his best. I'm prepared to admit he hasn't delivered on the China deal as I expected and that does not sit well with me. However just because the share price hasn't gone up as we expected, and has fallen a long way from highs, it doesn't make him a criminal. I would like to see some proper explanations as to what is going on from him soon. | pentacosttempleton

21/7/2020 12:05 | HolidayFunds821 Jul '20 - 11:55 - 106129 of 106130 According to the 2019 Annual Report, Chris Leigh also has share options, including: * Option to buy 1 million shares at 29pence (expires Oct2024) * and an option to buy 2.6 million shares at 15pence (expires Oct2027); So, to be fair to Chris, I'd say he has plenty of 'skin in the VRS game'. ------- Options aren't "skin in the game"! They are a cannot lose bet, they are the absolute opposite of skin in the game. If the price rises well above the expiry price, he cashes in with a no risk win, if it doesn't, he won't, and the options will expire worthless at no cost whatsoever to Chris. If only us investors could have access to such an easy one way bet, instead of investing our hard earned into these companies, and taking all the risk whilst people like Chris sit on the sidelines waiting to see if they will walk away with an easy win or not................. | andy
21/7/2020 11:59 | Grabster, overall I agree, most of the PLC board could and should increase their holdings. In my business we are in a closed period straight after the HY and FY end. If VRS do the same it means they would have been in a closed period since end of March until results come out in August. For mature businesses you would really expect results within 2 months of year end rather than 4-5 months as is the case with VRS. I’d certainly like to see the new Chairman make a sizeable purchase as it feels like he is a person of high net worth. They will always know more than us on the collaborations etc but unless one is truly imminent it shouldn’t stop them buying. After all the point of directors buying is to show faith in the company and most shareholders would welcome it even with their inside knowledge advantage. After all it’s only those that sell that would lose out from a subsequent increase in share price on either the buys or news. | brassneck2
21/7/2020 11:56 | Waltz, Neill has stopped selling his shares. He clearly thinks the shares are cheap down here since he has stopped selling even though some of them from part of his salary. I think I remember him saying he wished he could have taken part in the placing at 140p (was it?) but wasn't allowed to. Maybe after the closed period he will make some purchases. I'd agree it is annoying that Chris Leigh hasn't bought any shares. The other employees are not very well paid so I doubt they can afford to. Chris and Neill do pretty well with free options so I suppose there isn't a lot of motivation to pay cash from their pockets to top up. | pentacosttempleton

21/7/2020 11:00 | A poster mentioned the other day they had more vrs shares than Chris Leigh which concerned him quite rightly, which begs the question why it seems are none of the other "Team" employees buying stock at these low prices ? Also if prospects are so exciting why dont the "Team" take shares in lieu of their salaries or at least a good percentage to show some confidence? It's hard going here as Patience is wearing thin having held here for nearly 3 years even adding at 29p recently. Goodluck. | watzdorfer
