24/7/2020 17:20 | Chelsea - From a post(6592)on the other VRS thread. If you look at the post there is also a copy of a letter from Rishi Sunak confirming this: bbmsionlypostafter24 Jul '20 - 14:26 - 6592 of 6593 0 1 0 | philby1
24/7/2020 17:18 | That's the million dollar question. And that question is worth more than the sales here. By a country mile. | kemche
24/7/2020 17:10 | laginaneil, I just wonder if the huge amount of graphene to be produced as proof of capacity will be sold or dumped? Has anyone agreed to buy ANY of it? | willoicc
24/7/2020 17:07 | Philby, I’d be grateful if you could provide evidence of your post | chelsea101
24/7/2020 17:04 | Yes, I've just read that apparently Chancellor Rishi Sunak is to look into the £5 million Investigate loan to Versarien. | philby1
24/7/2020 16:55 | The £5M is now in question by UK Gov! Seems to be illegal (mates to mates and all that), whoops! | dudishes
24/7/2020 16:53 | Hello willoicc, I think the problem maybe big company's want GUARANTEED supply if only one supplier. They think what happens to OUR supply when one or two other 'big boys' ask for deliveries? VRS don't need to have contracts for it all, just got to keep early adopters happy there will be no 'squeeze' on supply. Hence VRS need capacity to produce gallons of the stuff ! | laginaneil
24/7/2020 16:44 | BTW, the cost is not the reason for failure as we have been told on numerous occasions that the economics of any colloboration/deal are worked out before signing. | davemac3
24/7/2020 16:41 | Crikey, I wish somebody in my family would underwrite my share losses! | davemac3
24/7/2020 16:37 | I’ve said on a number of occasions that I’m not happy with the share price. The reality is that the majority of shares are in the doldrums after years of brexit uncertainty followed by COVID. We are all grown up enough to know that dabbling in shares is a gamble. I’m now underwater despite buying my initial tranche at 22p. I’m more annoyed with myself for persuading a number of family members to buy in at well over £1. I think a number of fellow Versarien’s probably sold the story to family and friends and feel a certain amount of guilt too. I still believe that VRS will come good but those that complain that the share price is falling after admitting they are offloading does pee me off. I have already told my immediate family that I will make good their losses if this doesn’t work out so I’m really hoping that we have been told the truth and VRS delivers. | chelsea101
24/7/2020 16:28 | What happens to all the Graphene that will be produced thanks to the £5 million? Do VRS have contracts to sell it all? It cannot be stored, so will it just be dumped? | willoicc
24/7/2020 16:24 | Sounds good to me laginaneil | chelsea101
24/7/2020 16:17 | iofra, Yes good research looking back, I give you that. So what is the BODs interpretation / our interpretation of failed maybe that's the hing point? It works but it's not a big enough change to warrant / risk change in production? It works so well our product won't wear out.. Nobody wants to risk using this fantastic concrete because to get it's benefits we will need to change all the design rules and nobody will insure the structure? In a limit case you can surmise nanene doesn't work, gives no benefits, everybody is telling a 'fib'.. but that does not stack up well with all the theory, Chinese research etc. It's to expensive.. but you only use a bit.. this sound to simple. How about, you can't guarantee supply in big enough quantities now MAYBE that is the crux of the matter. Money from China for 'industrial' sized machines now off the table at present, so just maybe the 5 Mill will fix the issue. Thinking out loud sorry. | laginaneil
24/7/2020 15:58 | I dream of my team doing the honours on August 1st. An article on kit anticipated 2 - 3 years before graphene entered the world of sports attire, written 2017.World,European and Premiership Champions release their new kit Aug 1st, courtesy of Nike. One can always dream of the Holy Trinity enhanced by the wonder material.Back to zzzzzzz | fireball xl5
24/7/2020 15:45 | It would be nice if there was even just ONE blockbuster sales announcement to make the world sit up and take notice of Graphene in general and VRS in particular. Apart from the ear buds and the McClaren watch, what else is there? What are Mclaren doing to lighten their cars? Fractions of a second per lap are said to be crucial. There is nothing to make the world say 'WOW grahene can do that? I want some of that' Something like a graphene film on your car windscreen to make the ice and frost slide off on cold winter mornings. Coating aircraft with a grapene film to make it more 'slippery' through the air and save fuel. Grapene film on aircraft to reduce need for de-icing. I am not saying those are feasible but simple things would renew interest. Once there is a major launch to show the benefits of graphene, the world will be queueing up to play catch-up, just to remain competitive. What is complicated about launching clothes with graphene ink on them? | willoicc

24/7/2020 15:35 | if there had been any sales or orders of any significance, we would know about them. | davemac3
24/7/2020 15:35 | anley that's my point so many 'close to commercialisation' getting to market as soon as..' I could have used many more examples from years ago and no sales have accrued and no information has been forthcoming and yet when asked we are told nothing has failed all are on track (I asked) how can that be? | iofra
24/7/2020 15:23 | Hi Anley - separate issue but looks like Ineos won't be in the UK. They've suspended the negotiations with Welsh Gov and are looking at a ready made plant in France owned by Mercedes if not mistaken bdyr. That said still wouldn't stop a bid but they may well put setting up costs in favour of expanding with VRS just yet | gepetto100
24/7/2020 15:18 | That IOFRA was yesterday's news and some of it was of interest BUT this is not the issue. What shareholders want to know is just where this company is with respect to sales. Without sales VRS is unable to be viable and will be bid for by an organisation with deep pockets who needs the technology ........ how about Ineos in the UK or Dow in the USA. The longer all this takes the BofD will be diluted and the easier it will be for someone to come knocking on the door. | anley
24/7/2020 15:13 | "Kemeche, willoic Difficult to sell anything when nearly everywhere is closed due to a pandemic." They must have been anticipating it since 2014! | kemche
24/7/2020 14:58 | 2/2017 Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "Now that we have proven capacity and capability to produce Nanene we need to get this new product to market as quickly as possible, to as many as possible and by every appropriate route. The agreement with Lansdowne Chemicals will be an important development for us and we are pleased to have secured the support of a significant global chemical distributor. They are extremely well known to us and we look forward to utilising their distribution channels, especially in Europe." | iofra
24/7/2020 14:55 | 12/2016 Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We are delighted to have reached agreement with Scafell to utilise their expertise in PAEK materials. PAEK plastics are high value specialist polymer materials exhibiting superb mechanical properties which we have proven independently can be enhanced through the use of our graphene nano-platelets. We have already had enquiries from our customer base to use these materials and look forward to developing a range of specialist materials that meet the needs of industry. We are looking forward to working with Scafell and accelerating the time to market for graphene enhanced PAEK products. This is another example of us developing our graphene technology in our chosen areas of carbon fibre composites, polymers and batteries." | iofra
24/7/2020 14:51 | Oh well I'm sure Gnanomatt are well aware of the research and are all over it. | pentacosttempleton |
