06/11/2019 11:15 | Compoundup, Re a post a while back re coating concrete with a Nanene polymer as a remedial answer to concrete corrosion.(Water seeping in through small cracks and rusting the rebars). There could still be a problem. The coating would prevent further water ingress initially but on existing constructions water would already be in there. Rusting would still occur and the expansion of the concrete driven by the rust would probably result in new cracks. Just thinking aloud. | serratia

06/11/2019 11:00 | o/t for those of you who enjoyed Tony Seba's Colorado lecture on disruptive technology from 2 years ago, here is his updated (shortened to 30 mins) version given last week on a JP Morgan platform - a mainstream audience. One of the ways in which he has shortened the presentation is by cutting out the detail on PV off-grid generation, which is well-covered in the hour-long original: | compoundup
06/11/2019 10:56 | The main thread LTHs continue to hope each morning brings a “significant My take is for one of patience but his latest tweets seem to be suggesting that the “golden egg” RNS (if it comes) is not coming soon. It wouldn’t surprise me if such news is pushed back into 2020, delays are part and parcel of this kind of deal. It may be that the terms are just poor for VRS so are being declined. It may be that the deal will never be acceptable to Neill, and so then what...? | tomduck
06/11/2019 10:54 | I asked yesterday on here from those that were experts in VRS, as to why there had been no RNS. It appears the consensus is it is because it was not RNS worthy. | twatcher

06/11/2019 10:16 | After all the teddy throwing around and sounding off (me included), it's actually a buying opportunity if you understand it. The recent price drop has been ably assisted by what looks like one source due to the method of delivery of the supply in the market (details withheld for now). With no TR1 holding RNS to date it means the supply is under 3%, there are some known holders under the level and known as involved in selling some weeks back. Now in November so the updated register should be available now. | superg1
06/11/2019 10:10 | They may or may not be but when done they're in the price. Low volume thus far. "Volume before price". | alchemy
06/11/2019 10:10 | "The picture of Next is in New Bond Street. Where is the Chinese embassy??" A new bone for the puppies to chew and get excited about. Quite bewildering the potential that some people consistently manage to attach to a photo. You'd think they'd learn. I suppose the law of averages must come into play at some point and at least it's keeping you entertained and stops you chewing the couch. | billwave
