05/11/2019 06:19 | just waiting on part two now. but lets not forget as big as china might become, it is only a small part of the bigger picture. incredible isn't it. | jointer13
05/11/2019 06:03 | Me too Jointer..still gobsmacked and in awe at your find - thank you for sharing. I am still of the thought NR is going for the 'Big Bang' RNS (or quick series of RNS') with regards China - we will see. | ad631
05/11/2019 05:44 | Fantastic find last week Jointer, everyone on this board deserves a rich reward for their longterm commitment and not long to wait now.Well done all.P.s. I'm still the proud owner of a VRS share certificate :) | affc21
05/11/2019 05:13 | a little bit on concrete. Greener concrete thanks to Graphene 16:07 | 11/04/2019 (Construction) - Graphene is a special material consisting of a thick plate of carbon-bonded atoms and it is considered to be the material used to create a new type of concrete that is more durable, water resistant and friendly. more environment. Adding Graphene to concrete helps protect the environment (Source: Internet). Unlike the use of nanotechnology in concrete, which focuses on modifying existing components of cement, this new technique allows a layer of Graphene to float in water. The water is then mixed with ingredients in traditional concrete such as cement and aggregate. The process is inexpensive and is compatible with modern, large-scale production requirements. This concrete mixture can be used directly for construction sites, making buildings stronger and more durable. Graphene reinforced concrete has a compressive strength of 146% higher than ordinary concrete, an increase of 79.5% in bending strength and a water absorption reduction of nearly 400%. This material can meet high standards of construction. Durability and increased water resistance make concrete more durable than before. This means there is no need to replace regularly, reducing cement consumption, which means reducing CO2 emissions into the environment. In addition, the introduction of Graphene into concrete helps to reduce up to 50% of other materials including cement. Green building materials are an important step in reducing global CO2 emissions. It is also a step in the right direction to create a more sustainable construction industry for the future. | jointer13

05/11/2019 00:34 | As much as I would love it to happen, I can't see President Xi name-checking Versarien in his speech. I think we're getting ahead of ourselves again. I guess as I'm relatively younger than most of the core and frequent LTHs here, and since I still have a full-time day job, I'm a lot more relaxed with regards to the timelines of VRS's projects coming into fruition. Having met Neill in 5 different occasions; having had long chats with Chris (our CFO) and Matt Walker, who are both so humble and genuinely nice people; and seeing the progress on various paths the company is taking; I have almost no doubts that, as Jointer says, it is happening, and that it will happen sooner or later. I personally don't mind waiting as long as it takes for VRS to take the next tangible step of orders and international governmental JVs.And if Xi does mention us... Well, then I'll happily eat my hat and start planning my early retirement :) | maisto
05/11/2019 00:18 | Could the recent photos discussed on this thread relate to the recent unveiling of a Sino-UK incubation center in order to deepen the cooperation between China and Britain in the graphene industry? -------------------- Beijing accelerates layout of graphene industry 4 Nov 2019, 16:28:31 The Chinese capital is taking a further step to accelerate the graphene industry by launching a seed incubation park at the city's graphene industry innovation center. The incubation park in Fangshan District of Beijing is aimed at serving 100 upstream and downstream enterprises along the graphene industry chain. Graphene, nicknamed "black gold" and "king of new material," is the thinnest and strongest nanomaterial that can most efficiently transmit heat and electricity. Combined with other metallic and non-metallic materials, it is widely used in fields such as aviation, aerospace, electronics, and biomedicine. In a bid to promote the graphene industry, a 220-million-yuan (about 31.3 million U.S. dollars) venture capital fund has been set aside to support R&D and product development of startups in the incubation park. A Sino-UK incubation center was also unveiled to deepen the cooperation between China and Britain in the graphene industry. Beijing has superior resources of graphene technology with dozens of world-class research teams, said Sun Xianfeng, assistant director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. "The graphene industry is among the key strategic plans for sci-tech development in Beijing," Sun added. | simon templer junior
04/11/2019 23:54 | Update on previous post on China’s IP Protection Law . This is of fundamental importance to all VRS shareholders as it reverses the legal obligation for foreign entities operating within China to transfer their IP to the Chinese state........... China to set up system of punitive compensation for IP infringements Source: Xinhua| 2019-11-02 22:27:33|Editor: mingmei BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua)............ China plans to set up a system of punitive compensation for intellectual property (IP) infringements, according to a draft government regulation. The draft regulation on implementing the Foreign Investment Law, drawn up by the Ministry of Justice and a number of other State Council ministries, was posted online to solicit public opinions. According to the draft, China will also push for establishing a fast-track IP protection mechanism, improve the mechanisms to resolve IP disputes through multiple means and provide assistance, and increase IP protection for foreign investors and enterprises. The draft made detailed stipulations on banning the use of administrative measures to force foreign investors or enterprises to transfer technology. Administrative entities and their staff are also required to strictly keep foreign-invested enterprises' business secrets they come to know about while performing their duties, according to the draft. Members of the public can submit their opinions through letters, e-mails, or on the website of the Ministry of Justice by Dec. 1, 2019. The Foreign Investment Law is slated to go into effect on the first day of 2020. | evergreen8

04/11/2019 22:21 | If it was already in some RNS, NR would've said that already on Twitter. Yes, the writing was on the wall and we were told what was going on but this coming from a 3rd party was a confirmation for the many. Seeing is believing and that is what has happened here. Whether it was part of BIGT, we will come to know soon. We were also told that BIGT could be pre AGM and it has been more than a month, so it could be part of that overall process. Time will tell. | ashehzi

04/11/2019 21:57 | TW - as others have pointed out - the Friday event (launching/signing the Beijing incubation hub) could be regarded as merely fulfilling something already notified in a previous RNS.. | grabster
04/11/2019 19:27 | The event mentioned £20million or so for R and D we await the next move for £15 million or so. So - No direct need for RNS as yet. We've been given a wonderful heads up.And what we've been told so far has been usefully reinforced. | alchemy

04/11/2019 18:17 | I know we're not supposed to make reference to NRs tweets, but did anybody notice the double barrelled gun on his tweet today? Last time he did that two bits of news came, which suggests the picture is from one chamber, what's coming out of the next? | andymoore07
