Serratia - excellent analysis and detailed information which explains why Whole life costing is a significant driving force for the 2025 plan and why VRS Graphene is so important to China as they recognise that it will negate the need for infrastructure repairs and replacement for circa 200 years.

metis20,

There's a bigger picture than just the dose rate. If say you double the strength you might halve the rebars, halve the trucking costs, halve the water use etc.
Next concrete structures degrade both through rust and microbial attack. It's now estimated that reinforced concrete has a lifespan of 50 - 100 years so nearly all concrete structure the world over will need to be replaced this century.

Corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete is by far the most significant deterioration process affecting concrete structures. For example, it has been estimated that the remediation of concrete bridges in the USA undertaken as a direct result of corrosion of the reinforcing steel cost the US state departments $5 billion in the year 2000 (FHA, 1999). In addition to bridges, other highway structures, buildings, and marine facilities are affected. An estimate of the cost incurred in the UK in 1997 as the result of all forms of corrosion damage to concrete was £750 million (BRE, 2002).

Now Graphene addition will inhibit water ingress. What price Graphene when solving all those issues ?

Quote of the weekend Lucky...

'However, Beijing has now confirmed what has been discussed by Versarien in a big way so now it is entirely up to the market to price it in."

Metis20 - your figure of £80 per cube equates to £5 billion in annual sales at 100% adoption so even if adoption was only 20% £1 billion in annual sales is still going to push the VRS market Cap through the roof because China is meeting the establishment and working capital cost of production.

By the way , I don't care if selling continues at this level , gets rid of the stale investors that are not aware of the 'news' on Friday.

Don't want it shooting up , quite right ropey but it is only trading and shorting that has taken it down so would like to see it at the level it was before the games were played.

However, Beijing has now confirmed what has been discussed by Versarien in a big way so now it is entirely up to the market to price it in.

par4artthou - it is the profits generated, from which dividends are paid to shareholders and tax paid to HMRC, that pay for our public services, pensions and future investments. It is unfortunate that many on the left believe profits are evil, shareholders are profiteers and can’t tell the difference between ‘investingR17; and ‘spending̵7;.

Meanwhile Versarien, just to keep Woody happy, is doing a fantastic job in laying the foundations for the next industrial revolution for the benefit of not just the UK but the whole world. Bring it on.

So much positive sentiments based on the China 'announcement'. Are we getting carried away here & possibly not seeing a curve ball heading our way ?Personally I am very excited & have been waiting for this moment for a while - since the days of sub 19p !Sorry I don't mean to be a pessimist, but I just get the feeling that what seems too good to be true usually is too good to be true !I would be happy for a steady sustainable rise rather than boom boom ?

Post 82318

"As previously posted China's annual concrete consumption is more than 1 billion cubic meters. Adding 125g of our product per cubic meter doubles the lifespan of the concrete and massively increased its compressive and tensile strength reducing the volume requirement by circa 50%."

A cubic metre of concrete in UK costs c£80. With 125g of graphene added the volume of concrete can be reduced to 0.5 cubic metres.

So if the cost to the builder is to be the same with or without the graphene, the 125g of graphene must not be more than £40...

Or maybe because the life of the concrete is doubled, we can dial that price up to £80 for 125g of graphene. Does not sound a very impressive price. How much will it cost to make 125g of graphene with the large machines currently in development?

There will be fun when provinces try to out do each other in desperation for local facilities with VRS presence.

I know there has been talk of £10+ per share in the future, I do not know where new investors are going to obtain shares in the short term.

I have spoken to a couple of investors who have substantial long term holdings, but will be willing to sell a few, but at a much higher level than where we are now.

Well done to all long term and new investors who understand the company strategy and the fact that VRS are global leaders.

Let’s not forget AECOM, hopefully before Christmas and the other 5 targets, that are becoming nearer by the day.

Beijing has broken cover, UKgov needs to play catch up now. I would guess that jointer wasn't supposed to find that information regarding the launch ... but he did. Top secret stuff that is no longer top secret regarding Versarien on November 1st ... UK launch incoming?

Following on from my posts of last sunday, reporting upon the beijing 2019 Zhongguancun Forum - where the beijing municipal government announced a refocus in its ambition to develop cutting edge technology industries, naming graphene in the process, which included new policies to attract foreign talent - thanks to jointer we now see since friday further evidence from the chinese to promote the growth of its graphene industry.

The reports from this 3rd beijing graphene conference are most encouraging for vrs. This is the largest graphene conference in china now according to the municipal govt with 100's of attendees. And included speeches from 2 central government departments - who plainly were there to lend support to the graphene industry. Why, one could argue it was the most important beijing graphene conference yet.

Because, details of a proposed national graphene innovation centre were agreed, between beijing and provincial governments. It should be remembered that the beijing institute of graphene technology or bigt (the proposed strategic investor and partner of vrs) provided the idea for this national graphene innovation centre, and were one of three parties set to create it at a previous conference. Moreover, bigt was established by biam/aecc and the local beijing government - the former is a leading research institute in china, and has conducted graphene research for many years, since 2008 i think. And is in collaboration with the UoM developing graphene technologies. According to its graphene research centre, the beijing graphene research institute, biam/aecc has developed world leading technological advances in graphene-titanium and graphene-aluminium alloys.

Further to the proposed national centre, at this conference, an upgrade in importance was announced concerning the beijing graphene industry innovation centre, becoming a seed and incubation science park also. Together with a venture capital fund announcement to provide graphene enterprises to early growth. At this point, It should be realised that the beijing graphene industry innovation centre was originally established by bigt. (One begins to get the idea of how significant bigt are in the graphene industry in china.)

As the new beijing graphene industry innovation incubation and seed science park was announced, a signing ceremony was held for the enterprises joining it. Of these were vrs. It was reported that a sino british beijing graphene industry science park had been established in a joint venture involving vrs.

Haven't the chinese been getting all their ducks in a row? From the refocus and strategy announcements at the recent Zhongguancun Forum, to these major national and beijing graphene innovation centre announcements, it looks very much like vrs have been working to a chinese driven timeline. Beyond their control. But clearly, what a massive opportunity for the company, and puts it at the top table of the chinese graphene industry.

I look foward very much to this week to updates from the company. Most grateful to neill and co for their massive efforts here. Aimo. Dyor. Glalth. Best ellis.

Hoverflyman, many thanks for your words, I just say what I see. I like to read and reread everything...then make notes..it helps me to really understand what is a very complex company...I'm blonde, it's not easy! 😂 It makes sense to share my notes in case anyone else is struggling to keep up.

I am confident in my investment and I now feel that I 'know' many investors here which is great, on the whole we're a great bunch so I want us all to do well.

On the other hand, if someone isn't prepared to support the company and wait whilst things play out then I'm not going to try and persuade them...

As for the testosterone implant...happy being a girl thanks. 😂Blondes have more fun! I'm looking forward to the party!

Interesting Lucky, if we could put a value on each of the 'advantages' that VRS has (put them up individually for auction perhaps???), Verifications,Graphene Council/Chinese/Uk ..Uni connections/UK gov/industry connections..value of our staff...IP/trademarks...traditional companies bringing in cash and of course our huge list of collaborations..etc etc I wonder where that would put us? Bet there are loads of companies vying to be in the industry that would be bidding like crazy for what we have...

Woody, looks like you’ll soon be a multi-something-aire, well deserved for all your incisive analysis and comment. You are neither aggressive, defensive nor hostile to anyone but seem happy and confident about your decisions, do you think you might need an urgent testosterone implant?

I just noted one little tyke up to his usual tricks saying that it is all priced in, hope he has sold again lol.

Try buying a company in the graphene space now with the IP, certification , worldwide contacts and knowledge that Versarien has. The current share price with the Beijing Gov. involvement doesn't even start to scratch the surface, Neill and co. know what it is worth and what they are doing and so do the business inclined PI's.

Jobs and more jobs in the UK as Versarien grows , that is what engineers like and know it supports the economy, make their own machines one day maybe and develop them to automate. Then there is 3D printing and ancillary supply chains , it will do a lot of good for the economy.

As usual. Oversimplification of the ways that countries relate to each other seems to be preferable to really understanding the complex ways that markets are developed.Only that many of the goods sold to us cannot be produced in the UK anyway and also that we seem to be completely incapable of producing much that anyone else wants. It won't be any different outside the EU except it will cost a lot more to do both buy and sell.I'll say no more because I can't be bothered whether the UK falls apart or not. It will get what it deserves
