19/10/2019 16:06 | 6d back on a bottle. This was stopped by Viscount Wilkinson in late 60s early 70s , he was Chairman of Schweppes.Certainly we did not know of the Greenhouse effect in those days. Nor of the wonderful photosynthesis phenomenon.I didn't even know of the equation for photosynthesis until last year. It's a wonderful equation, quite remarkable in fact. What we had known was smogs! We also knew we were tied to coal. So we weren't used to waste at home but we weren't green as a country as a whole. Coal usage was reduced not just by Thatcher's actions but, and not a lot of people know this, Norway pointing out we produced thereby lots of sulphuric acid killing their trees.Until quite recently maybe up to the 1990s if you took the total CO2 emissions by country since 1776 I'm proud to say the prize belonged here in the UK. That's not shameful by the way.And now with Windfarms Solar etcetera we can be proud how quickly our foot print is coming down. (Zap n Go related! for hopefully further pride) To be continued | ![]() alchemy
19/10/2019 16:06 | Continued And now the attack on older people is seen as even more misplaced. We had to use what was to hand for power. But the young are adopting this conventional wisdom we were wasteful.Still photosynthesis is now taught I'm told. Greenhouse gas necessary for life on earth but we have too much. The answer is STEM . Not blame. | ![]() alchemy
19/10/2019 15:37 | Zealots/cult members getting increasingly panicky as this hot air & jam tomorrow stock promo gradually sinks. Don't worry, NR will be all right, he dumped millions of these on the mugs. | ![]() bbmsionlypostafter

19/10/2019 13:52 | Your name has always been in bold for some reason.Yes, I'm still invested, but mainly in my Mum's, my in laws and my daughters names now. Very little in my own trading account name. For some reason, they are still keen to hold.I'm obviously disappointed with what's happened or not happened in the last 18 months.... and the USA debacle was indicative of real embarrassment in that area. But the real reasons for me selling down are three fold.1, I saw better opportunities to make money in IOF, PET and GAN, plus others that didn't go so well.2, I found the annual accounts unbearable, and the explanations illogical and glib.3, I found that those who believe blindly in VRS offer no real reasons for it, other than mealy mouthed phrases such as Trust in Neill, VRS family, or Its coming! Not good enough in my opinion. My decision to reduce has served me well to this point, and I can always build a holding later if I choose to.The level of hostility I detect in response to my reducing my holding, or any polite comments I make, help to reconfirm my decision. | ![]() festario
19/10/2019 13:46 | All rather irrelevant as it is industry, mainly, that causes the problem. If wishing that NR could me no more than a month out with his own forecasts is trolling, I am a troll. I am a troll that holds the same amount of shares as I did 6 months ago. If only VRS could land something solid, I will be a happy troll but there is no point talking about faith. As Super g regularly points out, many AIM CEO's are charlatans and liars. NR appears to be different but until he lands something, it is only appearance and not yet a proven fact. | ![]() clint fleecewood
19/10/2019 13:16 | Festario - No, I'm not a blue poster, I'm not passionate enough to pay a premium to ADVFN so I can air my thoughts on SG's thread, waste of time anyway as you'll know, anything other than unequivocal positivity is tolerated. I'm in bold? hmm, perhaps I'm earmarked for something? Getting bumped off by Superg1 for not sharing his unfaltering view perhaps? Fest, you are still partially invested here, how are you feeling about the current state of affairs? Always interested to hear an alternative objective view. Regards. | ![]() billwave

19/10/2019 12:25 | ...the market cap is still £146 million. For a loss making business, running out of cash and whose core graphene business has sales of well under £1 million a year that sounds too good to be true… it remains an outstanding short. | ![]() bbmsionlypostafter

19/10/2019 10:59 | It's a complete fallacy 'that NR has more to lose than anyone'. He's made millions here and will offload what he has left for a lot more before they are back at 1p. He's made suckers of shareholders and continues to do so (many of them). | ![]() jimboau

19/10/2019 09:12 | Perhaps one day we'll see Neill write his first best seller, entitled 'From a Garage in Cheltenham to a Global Sensation'. In the meantime and as Halloween approaches beware the 'troll trickery season' keep watch as they increase their devious attempts to influence and 'sow seeds of doubt' in the minds of the weak...naughty, naughty trolls. | aintree77
19/10/2019 09:03 | @billwave Ricketts paid £5k for most of his shares. He's either had free shares or options since on top. Despite saying he'd love to buy more he's has instead repeatedly sold down his stake. He said he would have liked to take part in the 145p placing at the time but couldn't he later sold shares at a lower price. I'm sure I'll be called a liar but all this is public record. Then we have the selling shares to fund a local school project which failed to happen (although may still). Neill has delivered virtually nothing in Graphene sales. He raised money to buy the traditional business which was loss making and it's continued to be so. At the time of the IPO the IPO documents claim that the traditional business was to be transformed by selling his Versarien Cu copper foam material. He sold none the pivoted to Graphene. Again all public record. VRS has signed many collaborations but I very much suspect they are little more than an email enquiry followed by an NDA and an intent to work on Graphene together in a lose sense. None despite being up to 4 years old have led to anything. Despite what the loons on the other thread think VRS is not the only source of GnP Graphene. Many other companies produce GnP and have had much more success selling it. Also this myth about sub 10 layers being the only useful graphene is humbug. Terrance Barkin who provides VRSs graphene certification has recently stated 15-20 layers seems best for polymer additive. Perhaps this is why one of VRSs tiny sales was intact not nanene but HP Graphene with more layers. I've no doubt VRS will sell some of their products. Market prices for GnP are falling to around $20/kg. 3T production will be worth $60k gross and I doubt gross margin will be very high at these rates. | ![]() loglorry1
19/10/2019 08:46 | What has NR delivered so far? Loads of missed targets and no revenues. What will he produce in the future? More of the same. Pure fantasy. Not that I'm complaining as it provides me with a regular income. | ![]() rainbow23 |
