Well it is 9 pm where I am in the US .... and still the world sleepsGetting that market open is good, provided the sentiment remains in the right directionGetting a warmer feeling day on day to the long term but continue to share the short term sentiment that drives the daily share price movementSome sustained positive share price growth would support the overall sentiment

It's the middle of the afternoon where I am... and it's Sunday, but if I've got this right, someone will GET THAT STOCK MARKET OPEN in only about 8 hours! Nice!

I saw the YouTube thing about the German car industry not getting on board.

On reflection using China and Norway as it’s ONLY two examples of accelerated EV uptake isn’t representative of the whole world. China is a command economy that can build the required charging infrastructure and Norway is a comparatively rich oil country with a small population that doesn’t probably need the lost tax revenue that doing away with the ICE will result in.

I ended up thinking it was rather a flawed documentary. Most of the EVs shown in Norway were BMWs and when I was in Bergen they were all Tesla’s, which are out of reach of most working class people.

Where I live in London there are a woeful number of charging stations, and the local Audi and VW garages have EVs but I haven’t seen any sold but I can say they are being well outsold by good old petrol and diesel.

Even if I wanted one I couldn’t charge it, and there are none that I want that aren’t extortionately priced in comparison to what I bought which was a second hand a4. The Tesla 3 and bmw i3 are a step in the right direction.

Good news for us maybe if China goes electric mind.

We'd better start digging and it's going to be cheap.

Not for everything though.

For anyone who has a spare half hour, this is an interesting watch ...

It's all about the uptake of EV vehicles, particularly comparing Germany and Norway, making the point that this is a train on tracks and no government or anything else is going to stop it... in fact if you don't jump on board fast you are going to regret it.

The German government really need st take stock and alter their position or risk facing huge damage to their economy.

What a man, even though he's currently 'On the deck of a medium sized cruise ship.... about 200 miles out from Honolulu' he STILL finds the time to drop in here and post this interesting news for us.

Post 78151 in the link Section 4 Eastern Promise , it is easy to see why there are a large number of discussions being held in these huge cities /provinces ,the areas and figures are mind boggling !

Let us not forget from the Annual Report (page 11): 'We are now in discussions with many cities, provinces and companies in China, and signed a Term Sheet with BIGT in April 2019. Final contracts have yet to be completed, so there cannot be certainty' - I'm as hopeful as the next, but as the saying goes 'many a slip twixt the cup and the lip'

pshevlin, I think Neill is thinking further ahead than you...anyone buying in at these sorts of levels will be very happy in a year or two if this company even remotely touches on the levels it should reach...DYOR , I do.

There’s only one way to become a long term holder .

As many have already found out .

Likely then anyone who holds for the longer term will be well rewarded .

The long term holders have already been rewarded if they were in around the 10p mark. It is we who were in just a bit later around the present price or just below (or above) that concerns me Woody.

...and if anyone needs any more convincing about how good Neill thinks the deal is, he also said :

"all our long term holders will be well rewarded"...

Happy and holding!

Great clarification 20pc and just a reminder and to get us into what will hopefully be a great week...

“No doubt this BIGT transaction will be absolutely critical in us setting up and being part of probably the biggest manufacturing set up in the world.”

To state it simply.

Versarien has set up and owns 100% of Beijing Versarien Technology Company, a WFOE.

BIGT is negotiating to buy up to 15% of Versarien through the creation of new shares as authorised at the last AGM.

Timkford, BIGT will be making a 15% investment in VRS not the new WFOE (Beijing Versarien Technology Company Limited). I am not sure if this represents 15% of the company before or after any shares taken by “existing and prospective private and institutional shareholders”.

I have no idea on the price per share at which the deal will be struck, I am sure that the negotiations would have taken into account the potential future value of the WFOE. Considering that Neill has mentioned that VRS will be part of a huge manufacturing operation (can't recall exact quote) this could lead to a deal at a premium to today's price. Although I would have thought that the price has already been agreed.

I don't expect VRS to be taking money out of the WFOE for a while as I am sure all revenue will be reinvested to cater for the huge increase in demand that this deal will trigger. However, the creation of the WFOE will allow VRS profit repatriation as and when. Hopefully the deal will include details of the size of the opportunity with regards to forecasts of tonnage expected and time-scale.

The deal will be a huge moment in VRS history and cement the co at the forefront of this new revolution, so I am not going to get upset if the target date slips. Enjoying the journey, tick tock.

As I understand it TimK, you are broadly correct but the 15% is of the parent company (VRS) whilst the subsid. is wholly owned by VRS.
