08/9/2019 11:49 | The posts re BIGT are confusing me. I’m not an accountant but my understanding is – VRS has to do something different to work with China. It’s setting up a subsidiary with China putting up a load of money to get up to 15% of this. Effectively this takes a chunk of VRS operations to one side and someone else owns 15% of them – so reduces income direct to VRS. But this gives VRS access to China (with the Ch. Govt promoting use of vrs technology) and as a wholly owned subsidiary, 70%(or more) of profits in China will go to the parent company – the one in which we have shares. So, I don’t expect to be able to buy shares in the WFOE (no % of my holding at BIGT price or whatever), we will water down the company a fraction (15% of the Chinese operations) but the company will receive payment for this and get accelerated and govt backed access to Chinese companies. 08/9/2019 09:50 | On the subject of EV batteries, couple of interesting facts: There is 54 kg of graphite in each battery anode of the Tesla Model S (source slide 4 of the Novocarbon Winter 2019 presentation Replacing graphite with graphene provides the following observed efficiencies: Graphene anodes are said to hold energy better than graphite anodes and promise a charge time that is ten times faster than what is currently possible with Li-ion. Load capabilities should also improve; better longevity is another item on the wish-list that needs to be proven. With traditional graphite anodes, lithium ions accumulate around the outer surface of the anode. Graphene has a more elegant solution by enabling lithium ions to pass through the tiny holes of the graphene sheets measuring 10–20nm. This promises optimal storage area and easy extraction. Once available, such a battery is estimated to store ten times more energy than Li-ion featuring regular graphite anodes. Further improvements with graphene are achieved by adding vanadium oxide to the cathode. Experimental batteries with such an enhancement are said to recharge in 20 seconds and retain 90 percent capacity after 1,000 cycles. Graphene is also being tested in supercapacitors to improve the specific energy density, as well as in solar cells. Figure 1 illustrates the unique lattice of graphene made visible with scanning probe microscopy (SPM). | aquaesulis01

07/9/2019 17:18 | Absolutely Mat, as Neill always says, his aims are totally aligned with ours and I'm sure he will want to do everything he can to ensure that shareholders can retain their shares as long as possible whilst still being able to 'reap the rewards'. I'm sure he will want to be able to treat his family too! | ![]() woodpeckers
07/9/2019 16:59 | I have seen people here arguing against a dividend in the early stages as the profits would be better reinvested into the company. However I guess it depends on the revenues we start seeing, with talk of expected significant future revenue maybe it wont be too far away. One thing that I am sure of, is that because of Mr Ricketts consideration to shareholders, together with the potential for ample profits, future dividends will be generous | ![]() matheus7777
07/9/2019 16:58 | I think one of the 'problems' the BOD are encountering and will probably continue to encounter is that companies/countries are showing an interest, we think we have a deal and then they start thinking about all the other things they could use graphene for so the deal takes longer but gets much bigger...Nice problem to have really, for those with patience. | ![]() woodpeckers

07/9/2019 08:56 | Jointer It's nothing more than the 15% resolution bit, if it's going it will come pre AGM or after the AGM, the company would prefer before the AGM due to the resolution rules. That then leaves 15% for next year open without having to have a further resolution to get it authorised. They fact it's so far down the road is a problem for naysayers not holders. Whether to happens within 2 weeks or 4 weeks is again a problem for naysayers not holders. It is not a deadline which must be met, it's just desirable by VRS for the reasons stated. | ![]() superg1
