03/9/2019 11:24 | "we could do with switching more of our attention to looking at the total of possibilities around the world" possibilities which VRS seems to have done precious little to commercially-exploit As I've said before VRS should have been signing relatively modest supply contracts all the way along. Then we wouldn't be in this mess, risking selling a stake to BIGT at a rock-bottom price (given the potential), desperately trying to tout the company to HNWs to try and get the share price up. I'll say again: 100+ partnerships (CAs, MOUs, NDAs etc etc), successful testing, certification by China and USA - but no significant orders. Why? If there's no significant commercial news by the AGM Ricketts should resign, and Leigh and that 007 bloke should go too. A total clear-out, and their replacement with a new team who can focus ruthlessly on commercial delivery. I know these things take time - but VRS has HAD time. Last March (2018) Ricketts was trumpeting about progress with IAI and this collab and that collab - and 18 months later STILL no orders. He's out of road, out of time and out of excuses. If he hasn't delivered something commercially-signifi | ![]() club sandwich

03/9/2019 11:14 | Looks like some are losing patience here. I think the confusion on this board seems to be playing a part alongside the silence (which is understandable given forthcoming AGM) from the company. We need to get the AGM over and see where we are. The problems with China are also in my opinion giving some people a reason to entertain doubts. VRS can't do much about this but we could do with switching more of our attention to looking at the total of possibilities around the world and not put too many eggs in the Chinese basket. | ![]() pshevlin

03/9/2019 09:41 | From the SCMP this morning, it looks like a slight change of tack as per a meeting chaired by Vice-Premier Liu He. "The statement did not mention the trade war with the US, but included specific guidelines on what China should do to manage its economy in the coming months. It urged financial institutions to help sell local government special bonds, with proceeds to be used for government-backed investment projects, while it also told local authorities to “fully tap investment potential”. In a contrast to earlier instructions to local governments to restrict the accumulation of addition debt, the commission said it would encourage “some regions and sectors” to accelerate investments if officials are able to show a “willingness to get things done” and “courage to shoulder responsibility&rdquo A couple of points here that can only help the BGIT move ahead whereas before the may have been a little constrained. | ![]() dgduncan
03/9/2019 09:38 | That's a very odd post. Imho. I think it's possible that NR , subliminally, uses optimism as a tool and particularly on timescales but the final outcomes will be correctly attributed to him.I can't see anyone looking to replace anyone in this team. The role of the new CTO is pretty important. So additions , yes. Other characteristics, mere foibles , total. awe of Tesla, theatrical marshalling of RNSs.Your kind of entitled to your view I suppose, but , aye, ''tis odd. | ![]() alchemy
03/9/2019 09:29 | Probably academic. If there's no substantial news by the AGM we'll probably be getting a new CEO and a new CFO. After all, the penny only seems to have just dropped with this one that companies are meant to grow revenues year-on-year. Not very impressive at all. | ![]() club sandwich
03/9/2019 09:28 | CS; Chris's placement of commas, and your own, are both correct. I can see how both versions can be read, but with different intended emphasis. I would have written it the way you suggest - but I can see why the other version might have been chosen. ;-) | ![]() grabster

03/9/2019 08:52 | How can you have any confidence in a CFO that can't even write good English? The comma is clearly in the wrong place. It *should* be: "We are confident that, whilst revenues of any material amount have yet to be achieved, with the investment that we have made, the accreditations awarded and progress of our collaborations this year, significant future revenues will be achieved." | ![]() club sandwich
