Well Topper you are either a saint who is genuinely worried about poor DM readers losing money or a TW@. Which is it? I think the former is highly unlikely.

HMRC will collect approx £29bn this year from fuel taxes. That’s a big hole to fill so road pricing collected via on board trip computer is the cheap and sensible way to collect revenue. We already have road pricing as the more miles you drive the more fuel is used.

Difficulties with taxing electricity are obvious and it won’t be that long before many people are generating and storing their own from PV cells, either individually or in community networks.

I suspect in 10 years time driving (or being driven) won’t necessarily be any cheaper but the environment will be noticeably better off, all helped by VRS IP of course!

It's amazing that Versarien is getting a free run at the whole graphene market as the 'only verified graphene producer'.
Apart from the fact that it is a paid for accreditation I wonder if there might be others out there that simply don't want to show their hand because they are much further down the line towards commercialising their technology - they might even have orders >£40k FFS!

You think that is OK do you - if one vulnerable DM reader follows that hype and loses 90% of their investment - you think that is OK?

This is a massively speculative stock - there is a chance it might work out but at the current levels the risk/reward ratio is awful compared to what it was when some of you amazing(lucky) investors got in at 18p or whatever it was. Stop trying to suck others in at these levels on the basis of Twitter hype and meaningless collaborations FFS.

Worrying to see the irrational response from the Cult in the comments section of a story in the Daily Mail that dared to cover graphene and not mention Versarien.

Some bare faced hype posing as fact - if even one gullible 'widow/orphan' type invests on the back of that unsubstantiated hype and loses a lot of money then the Cult clowns should be held to account.

I can't see toll roads as the answer as a low mpg car would be charged the same as a high mpg car which goes against what they've been doing re tax.
Modern cars already have computers that log all sorts of details so it's no big jump to collect data on miles driven.
I think when/if EV's reach a tipping point they'll pile on the tax via miles driven. They can't increase household electricity taxes as it would hit households with no cars. I wonder how they'd stop hackers adjusting the mileage?
The only certainty I can see is they won't put up with a drop in tax receipts and EV's will have no economic advantage over ICE's.

Herschel,
Buy it outright and it’s all tax deductible.

It's interesting Serratia From 2020/21 the gov't is setting the BIK on all pure EV's to 0%. Then 1% in 2021/22 Then 2% in 2022/23.I'm now looking at leasing myself and my business partner an EV through our business, as a quick calculation based on our mileage per annum, savings between elec and diesel, depreciation, running costs, tax benefits (CT and VAT), etc. Means we can probably get a £36k car for the equivalent of 250 quid a month. A £50k EV car, like a Jag E-Pace, doesn't cost that much more.I'd never have been considering one before they changed the BIK.

Well 16 whole days to AGM.That's not normally relevant to an share price but we hope for Bigt before then.AECOM . I think it's clear we wait for our customer who orders slightly after when their's does or hopefully do (plural). So many irons in the fire, so many oak saplings from our acorns such a big forest to grow! Also looking for concrete progress , all puns intended. And I'm also looking for the un- prophesied

"They won't tip VRS because there are no funds in. No well recognised city folk either."

I wasn't referring to now. My comment said "come the day they do" - referring to when the funds and others are onboard, which some day they surely will be. ;-)

Re, 'can't see news prior'. Hanging on for BIGT won't determine as and when other news drops. When the dotted lines are signed, it becomes news.

Logically news isn't news until such time the signatures are there. Like on all shares deals can hit hurdles in the last few days, not happen or see delays. So you can't plan around anticipated news, you have to concentrate on the here and now.

I agree, there will be an agreed price re the stake and that will be it. Highly unlikely to be nomad/fund manager type shenanigans which is typically based on corrupt manipulation.

VRS do have interest for 29.9% so there isn't a lot of room to be pushed around.

I don’t believe that the share price will have any bearing whatsoever on the price BIGT pay. They are buying into the future not the present.

Which is why it could / should be announced . And, when Bigt was mooted, Bigt was hoped for in Q2.

Can’t see any AECOM deal being announced
before BIGT as resulting share price rise
would result in Chinese paying much more for share.

Conversely take OBT when TW and co had inside info that it was going to be bought out at 23p, they piled in and pushed out the info to the Evening standard.

They were mugged, but couldn't see it.

They won't tip VRS because there are no funds in. No well recognised city folk either.

Hence it gets ignored. No money to be made tipping it and therefore no cash in hand to do an article.
