29/8/2019 09:22 | Rhe Odd comments imo. China quite clearly want to lead the way on the nano-material revolution. They have had in recent years 100's claiming to produce graphene which in the main is complete junk. They realised that, and ended up finding VRS. That all seems to start with a presentation at Bath University. Quite clearly it was light bulb moment for the Chinese delegates present, they had found someone with the real deal that can be produced at scale. So they invited NR and co over to China introduced them to top gov officials, treated them like VIPs and tried to get a binding LOI signed with national TV crews present. Since that time it's gone barmy with Chinese interest. So much so that VRS set a strategy to sift through the deals in play to end up with the best options. The best option they consider so far is the BIGT on the graphene production and progress in China. They have other collaborations with massive Chinese companies some state owned. So why would you want the brakes on, in a country who seeks to get the graphene revolution up and running. | ![]() superg1
29/8/2019 09:11 | Because there's massive value in this company even if Ricketts is too incompetent to deliver it. He's drinking in the last-chance saloon, and the bell for last orders has rung. He's out of road, out of time and out of excuses. If he hasn't delivered anything by the AGM I'll start my campaign to get him removed. More than enough prima facie evidence to go to the FCA - much of it through back channels, and at several removes, from Wood himself: another arrogant, self-important, blustering fool who can't keep his mouth shut... | ![]() club sandwich
29/8/2019 09:11 | rheumking - It's strange how we can all interpret the situation differently. I am patiently waiting and holding all of my shares and have seen nothing to suggest that the BIGT is unlikely to be concluded any time soon. In fact, on the contrary, Neill has repeatedly put out the message that all is 'on track'. As for "minnow negotiating with a whale", we may be smaller but that doesn't necessarily mean that we don't have any strength when it comes to negotiations. As Jointer very eloquently pointed out, it's about quality and the fact that we are the only company to have been proved to have what BIGT want. I think many would like to think that the BIGT deal will be delayed as it could give them an opportunity to repurchase shares that they have sold. To those who like me have held tight, listen to what the company is saying and ignore the 'noise'. | ![]() woodpeckers

29/8/2019 09:05 | so. 'staggering'. 'mind-blowing'. what can they mean? surely they should be addressed in the context of how much a China deal could be worth, or a very large commercial contract. There was talk early last year of China needing $200bn-worth of graphene over the next 5 years. (that's *billions*) who said that? Oh, that would be Ricketts, on Twitter. Revenue from China to date? $0. So what does 'mind-blowing' mean in this context? I suggest it must mean a very very large commercial deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars/pounds (don't much care which). Anything less would be very welcome, of course, but hardly 'mind-blowing', at least in my book. Interesting fact: Graham Wood used to live near Cheltenham, just down the road from VRS. He stumbles across VRS. He buys VRS. He ramps VRS. He sells some VRS and moves to Herefordshire. Nothing he predicts for the company - and he's been predicting HUGE deals since at least last September - has come to pass. Coincidence? Stay tuned for more fascinating facts about Graham Wood. | ![]() club sandwich

29/8/2019 08:48 | The last week or so on volumes and share price moves tends to suggest all losses stock has been taken up. So those that sold to buy others (mainly Bids it seems) may or may not want their shares back. BIGT beckons be it before the AGM or after and that timeline imo set a period for some to try to trade but it ignores all other potential news which imo is now material based on the lack of stock about. As for BIDs they have their timeline too, the end of Sept which is when results have to be announced by. I'm sticking to the maths on that on figures available. If the figures are not hit, then certain public comments will shown to be lies..... then what!!!!! | ![]() superg1

29/8/2019 08:01 | a little publicity. "Versarien are a UK company who are best known in the nanotechnology space for their few-layered graphene product Nanene ®. They also have a range of other products as well owning some subsidiary companies—2D Tech and Cambridge Graphene, both of which are also based in the UK. With these subsidiaries, Versarien also provides graphene-enhanced polymers (Polygrene ®), graphene-based inks, and hexagonal boron nitride (Hexotene®) and has started to develop a lot of collaborations&mdash | jointer13

29/8/2019 06:52 | quality. do not under estimate our uniqueness. there has been a lot of testing done (loads of info on the web) out there and the majority of it comes back as cheap graphite (don't get me wrong there is a market for it) “It is alarming to uncover that producers are labelling black powders as graphene and selling them for top dollar, while in reality, they contain mostly cheap graphite,” says Professor Antonio Castro Neto, director of the NUS Centre for Advanced 2D Materials. hence the uniqueness...being the only validated company in the world. our quality has been known for a while to some, hence the amount of interest in us. now it is known to a much bigger audience. so having our quality materials validated is a massive statement that is not to be underestimated. The US-based Graphene Council's Programme is an independent, third party verification system that involves a physical inspection of the production facilities, a review of the entire production process, a random sampling of product material and rigorous characterisation and testing by a leading, international materials laboratory. The Programme is based on the most recent developments in globally recognised graphene standards, surveys of graphene producers, researchers and users, as well as analysis of commercially available graphene products. The Graphene Council have designed the Programme to be an important step in providing customers and end-users with a degree of confidence, that has not existed before, that they are sourcing material from a reputable supplier, bringing transparency and clarity to a rapidly changing and opaque market for graphene materials. Terrance Barkan, Executive Director of The Graphene Council, commented: "Successful commercialisation of graphene materials requires not only the ability to produce graphene to a declared specification, but to be able to do so at a commercial scale. It is nearly impossible for a graphene customer to verify the type of material they are receiving without going through an expensive and time-consuming process of having sample materials fully characterised by a laboratory that has the equipment and expertise to test graphene. "The Verified Graphene Producer programme developed by The Graphene Council provides a level of independent inspection and verification that is not available anywhere else. "We are pleased to have worked with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK, regarded as one of the absolute top facilities for metrology and graphene characterisation in the world. They have provided outstanding analytical expertise for the materials testing portion of the Programme." "our cutomers and collaboration partners are getting a huge amount of confidence" who would a company go to if they wanted true quality graphene....I wonder. | jointer13
29/8/2019 05:48 | logl0rry you are plucking figures out of the air,the only recent reference to a value for high end graphene from a graphene professional is from the Nanoxplore CEO who speculated on thousands of pounds per kilo if that was the worth to the Customer (his words not mine). Now if that kilo when combined through patented processes with other materials goes a long way and the scale up volume of the end product is huge, who knows? Certainly rubbing shoulders with Fortune 500 companies and BIGT suggests the scenario is possible.I am certainly more inclined to put my faith in Neil Ricketts who conducts himself professionally at all times rather than Tom Winniforth who seems to spend his time making derogatory and childish personal remarks about CEOs and fellow presentors. | aquaesulis01
