I just use the free IPAD version of ADVFN which is real time. Just have to keep pressing the connect button every few minutes or so. I wouldn't pay them for it though!

Still not found anything better than pressing buy/sell buttons for different quantities. Level 2 holds many a mystery. If I'm going to buy I don't buy a fast rising or falling market but one that appears to have found a level. There isn't anything like a special offer, mind you at current prices with future expectations and market development, along with first mover advantage, the one and only, VRS do have that persuasive price point but WDIK.

ShawfordClare. My advice is to buy and hold VRS but that is advice I give to myself coz I am not qualified to give advice to others.

All I can say is DYOR and you will not be disappointed

Hi guys, just introduced a new investor, ShawfordClare, she is totally new to the game and wants to be able to see real time prices for VRS on a monitor without having to pay advfn prices for a while while she gets going. Does anyone know a site that she can log in on to do that? TIA.

"Something can be a millionth the thickness of something else. It is a physical impossibility to be a million times thinner."

Although I get the specific point you are making, which is correct, "million times thinner" can be a valid statement, in comparing relative comparisions.

If Item A is 1M, Item B is 100cm, and Item C is 100nm, comparing the thinness difference between item A&B and item A&C, it is fair to say that C is a "million times thinner" than A, compared to B.

:)

I notice NR has been off of twitter since Thursday evening. Hopefully either really busy finalising loads of deals or having a well deserved rest before coming back and finalising loads of deals!

Superg1,

Ok thanks, your post came after mine so it seemed to be referring to it.

Accidental it's been added back.

Just for the record, if we want to be accurate, it shows how bad they are.

A human hair is not as thick as 1 mill layers of graphene. They talk of a human hair as 1/10th of a millimetre. 1mm of graphene is 3 mill layers, therefore 1/10th is 300,000 layers.

So as usual, they have not got a clue what they are talking about.

Why has my post been moderated - about the impossibility of something being a million times thinner than another thing?

Interesting comment about the use of graphite in li-ion batteries:

"De La Verpilliere would not divulge the makeup of this compound. The problem, he explained, with the current makeup of lithium-ion batteries is that the graphite would explode if fast-charging was attempted."

“The problem with the usual powders is that when you fast-charge them they can cause an explosion,” he said. “With the new material – which I can’t tell you any more about – it will accept fast-charging with no safety hazard, unlike graphite.”

---

A technology in its infancy I would suggest.
