04/4/2019 16:31 | I'm not, an end of day sell off, a trend reversal, and shareholders questioning the reported small scale of the 2d materials market 5 years from now.I envisage a tree shake early doors. | ![]() festario
04/4/2019 16:30 | ps It can't be forecast as everyone involved in it is being so secretive about what they are doing. A and T asked a top company for a forecast of sales of mobile phones by a particular date. The number came back forest as 90,000, the actual was 109 million. The forecast request was so AT&T could make a decision on pursuing the sector early or not, DOH!!!! Other than that the market forecast guys are sticking out forecasts in document that they charge a few thousand for. So if there is money in it they will fill a document. | ![]() superg1

04/4/2019 16:26 | Formula 1 all electric in 2021.That's very close I point out needlessly. So the decision makers there must know what is round the corner, to an extent, and then have faith brilliance and engineering and execution will more than equal the hybrid age.I really think VRS might have more of a roll in weight rather than the motors but I could be wrong. How could we help here: - https://apple.news/A | ![]() alchemy
04/4/2019 16:24 | I agree but you would think that somebody in charge of the Graphene Flagship might have a slightly more informed stance. By the way they better had be wrong or we maybe wasting our time. | ![]() pshevlin
04/4/2019 16:17 | All these reports estimating future markets are a bit like whoever said (allegedly in 1943): "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers." (Often ascribed to IBM Chairman Thomas Watson) They are all capable of being wildly wrong. | ![]() grabster
04/4/2019 16:06 | From the Graphene Flagship's 2018 annual report. €150–550 EXPECTED VALUE OF GRAPHENE MARKET BY 2025 That's not enough! | ![]() pshevlin
04/4/2019 16:04 | As said before it's amazing how many failed ASX graphite miners suddenly become world leading graphene companies. 1000's of scientists worldwide couldn't;t work it out for a decade but get a struggling failed graphite company in AUS and they crak it overnight then spin that for more funding. It's why I get flippant about it, that and finding various completely false claims made by them. I'm still chuckling about one claiming that stating "by calendar year end" is not a definitive date. :-) This one has 99.999% pure graphite. the 5 9's is their tagline. Far better than Talga or FGR of course, but all someone needs to do is claim six 9's. | ![]() superg1
04/4/2019 15:55 | From Terence Barkan. Exec Dir. Graphene Council "It's a very noisy market. Today there are about 200 companies that claim to be producing graphene at commercial levels. In addition to that, there are many small lab-scale startups that are hoping to become graphene producers that are waiting in the wings. There's no shortage of companies that want to play in this space. The result has been that we have a significant overcapacity of production at this time. There's a lot more capacity to produce graphene than there is actual demand for it." Overproduction of what? Is he actually talking about Graphene? Probably not now as this was February and I think the production level shrank considerably a few days ago! (And also from the company which was expecting 50mill$ of sales unless it's us.) | ![]() pshevlin
04/4/2019 15:39 | re that alone is expecting sales of $50 million in 2019 based on purchase orders." Must be a new graphite player on the TSX or ASX switching to graphene and perhaps in fund raise or IPO mode :-) Just joking, probably one of the Chinese many layer lot, there are 100's to choose from. | ![]() superg1

04/4/2019 14:50 | I was wondering the same, it's obviously not VRS, so who else is picking up orders for Graphene, if they are not even verified? | ![]() festario
04/4/2019 14:26 | I wonder who this is refering to? "Yet, we know of just one company within the number of companies that we follow, that alone is expecting sales of $50 million in 2019 based on purchase orders." | ![]() sandbag
04/4/2019 14:11 | Neill Ricketts @neillricketts four hours ago Robin Mayes yes, we were aware of situation, we did our best to investigate and then take a view. His experience, connections and his ability to get up and running quickly outweighed any particular risk. In all cases we assess the risk. He is just a small part of a much bigger plan | ![]() metis20
04/4/2019 14:10 | backwwodsman - many thanks for posting that article. Just read it ! Liked this section too that explains why Mr Market has failed so far to really appreciate VRS and its mega potential. "We think that a lot of these industry reports that are out there are also grossly underestimating or miscalculating what the true market value for graphene is based on the rapid uptake in commercialization of the material that we see from actually speaking to the producers." | ![]() bobsworth
04/4/2019 13:52 | Meanwhile, back at the coalface - Share price appears to be shrugging off any splashes of mud that naysayers throw at it. They must be a bit miffed that their efforts have such little and shortlived effect. ;-) | ![]() grabster
04/4/2019 13:39 | Quote from Terrance Barkan of the Graphene Council on 4th Feb 2019: 'we know of just one company within the number of companies that we follow, that alone is expecting sales of $50 million in 2019 based on purchase orders'. | ![]() backwoodsman
