Neill said on Twitter a few moments ago that DD was carried out. I believe this, but the wording of the RNS says "The company recently learned....".

So now you can see why there is the intense interest by many big names and countries, because VRS is a company that can produce few layer graphene on an industrial scale. That opens up numerous enhancements for various products worldwide.

It's been that way for some time but many just don't understand graphene.

First to act on worldwide products of the named crew it seems will be Aecom and Tunghsu.

I was really dissapointed with the wording of the RNS, as it suggests that VRS were totally unaware of the situation. I just asssumed that Neill was aware, but employed Patrick anyway as the facts of the case speak for themselves. I spent some time yesterday reading the slideshare that Patrick put together and it seems very plausible that he is the victim here. Still it does concern me that it doesn't look like due dilligence was carried out here.

Listed companies are held to high standards and assuming PA disclosed the issue to VRS and Canaccord it could have been handled better. A note in his appointment announcement that VRS are aware of the issue under investigation, are comfortable with the situation and that PA would remain on probation until the case is resolved would have rendered this a non issue.

Is that a bit of egg I see on the rempers faces today? Could Patrick be the first in the world to be clapped in irons made using real graphene ?

Re critchley article; it's all very well, but describing everything above single layer graphene as 'multilayer graphene' doesn't recognise the iso standards ? And therefore quality as most important factor. it does however, keep all the geic partners inside the tent, away from scrutiny. Which to my mind does nothing for investor confidence? Commercialisation thus reduced to collabs between producers and end users. The US model, where the GC verified producer scheme nods to quality of production, which is public and gives investor confidence, seems more orthodox in its simpler approach ie. Produce quality standards. Attract industrial end users into collab AND attract investment participation and funds to match. I do hope uk plc isn't slipping up here at geic ? As it stands, in any event, vrs sitting pretty with +nanene in usa, china and geic - the npl who are geic partners verified +nanene for the gc producer scheme. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis.

Great thread. Doenst one of the LOI ir MoU's suggest initial investments of cash too very much like Scrutable mentions ? I think the global game is fast approaching.
I hold a view that in China the MoU is worth nothing until those previously rare orders are put through. I have tried and failed in investing in Oil & Gas over there and lost. I hope the optimism of Scrutable and SuperG are worthy. Advise take China with a pinch of salt or more like the cherry on top.
Neill once said ONE deal could take ALL VRS production. The US with or without Patrick will provide thus uptake imho.
Then Korea, Japan and India in the mix and VRS could need 5-10 production sites worldwide to cover supply all in my view and especially if China does come true to its word. I think the validation rns on Monday will stir things up in China.
The space race and aviation domination are top of the lists.

Word in the city is that one of the shorting gang wrote a letter asking for investigation !
Let's hope the author is squeaky clean with no skeletons in the closet when/if it proves to be true and his identity discovered

FEST

You can bet it was Winnfrith and co running to the LSE or similar shouting for an RNS and going short on the back of it. That's what they do.

Done and dusted now and it seems Patrick is firing on all cylinders with news customers in the US.

Great news as XG have had to admit they don't do real graphene and what the vast majority of what they have been selling is graphite of 10-60 layers.

I'm sure Patrick is going to be very busy pointing out to XG customers that as time goes on their customers won't be able to call their graphene, graphene.

Callaway did account for about 90% of XG sales. I'm sure Callaway top brass are not going to be impressed if they can no longer call the golf balls graphene enhanced.

I found the news article when it was announced that Patrick was hired as VP and queried Neill. Neill advised that they were aware and that Patrick had already declared the problem before the hire. This makes sense as if it was found out afterwards it would be grounds for immediate termination. Patrick's resume and experience is well worth using and of course it was stated that he is on a probationary period. Not usual to state that a VP hire is subject to a probationary period so Neill has it covered.

Was on the school run with granddaughter so missed the rns and dip. Patrick is not that important to VRS, but who has brought with him a great deal of potential business and has many contacts in the industries we operate in.
He has worked in good companies, XG did due diligence and after looking into this, I am not concerned.
I am looking forward to the exciting times ahead, some just around the corner.
