26/2/2019 08:54 | I emailed Pear Design Studio several months ago about this, asking if they received an authorisation from Nike to use their logo of it was just just promotional material on VRS side without involvement from Nike. They never replied. I suppose it was the latter. That's also why i kept posting about Nike all this time. | mryl
26/2/2019 08:54 | Could just be an example of use. I used to own a design studio and we would do mock ups like this for showing how a particular design might be incorporated into something larger. IF Nike was using Graphinks, their own agency and not Pear would be doing the work. | eel tamer
26/2/2019 08:52 | Well that's a bit telling!!! :-) Thanks 66s. | woodpeckers
26/2/2019 08:52 | Someone should screen print that in case it disappears like the aecom one did! | cheek212

26/2/2019 08:42 | Sequoia 66 has sent me this. Have a look at Pear Design Studio site and "our work". Scroll down to the picture of Nike running gear incorporating Graphinks Technology. Interesting !! | tmoon

26/2/2019 08:36 | Good morning 2dinvestor - correct, the DTI can pull at anytime. I think that Yi Luo is a good choice given many of VRS future plans involve China. As for Peter Jay, thank you Peter for your hard work. I imagine, this was a sound business decision and that Peter has recognised that it's time to move on and let VRS expand into the global player most of us know it will be. | harrysol
26/2/2019 08:24 | I think you'll find DTI can pull the role at any time. Like I said, @ worst neutral. Rid is also spot on regarding how the civil service fast track scheme works. | 2dinvestor
26/2/2019 08:18 | More likely is that he doesn't like it in China. It's a very polluted and unhealthy place to live | 1teepee

26/2/2019 08:16 | Indeed fmd, it's all there. Horses for courses ! Different skillset, and another front runner here imo. Best ellis "I look forward to Versarien benefiting from Yi's skills and experience to help further progress both our existing Chinese relationships and others that we are discussing." | ellissj
26/2/2019 08:16 | Ridicule The secondment was for a minimum of 12 month period, this is an agreement between the department and Versarien, With Peter leaving VRS to take up his new role within the department, requires the department to find a new person to take over from Peter. to suggest otherwise is misleading investors. | spid81
26/2/2019 08:15 | Perhaps Peter Jay's promotion arises from positive performance at Versarien. If his performance here had been ineffective and he was quitting, I wouldn't have expected him to be returning to his department at a higher level than when he left. | grabster
26/2/2019 08:14 | Frankly speaking appointing a man or a woman doesn't change anything to VRS condition until real things are starting to fundamentally change. So the market does not see anything negative or positive. | fuji99
26/2/2019 08:14 | Thought peter jay was with us for a minimum of 12 months | 1teepee
26/2/2019 08:13 | Ridicule I agree with you. Peter is a fast-track Civil Servant who has been working to get MOU’s in place in China. And now he moves on to be replaced by a Chinese scientist with commercial nous - not unlike Zina. It is wholly positive IMO. | fatmandancing
26/2/2019 08:11 | I dreamt last night that 12 RNSes from VRS arrived simultaneously. I woke up with a sense of irrational exuberance. I then read this morning’s news and I felt a very satisfying and rational exuberance. | verger
26/2/2019 08:01 | Spid81 we will never know the fine detail behind this change over of personnel. You have no evidence at all, other than the fact you’re shorter, to put the slant you have put on it. The circumstantial evidence points the other way. If Peter Jay had been unhappy with VRS, or had become disillusioned, a second Ministry would not have provided someone of Yi’s calibre. Indeed, I suspect Peter Jay had a hand in ensuring that the VRS got a quality person. Peter is a fast track civil servant. He would not forego a key promotion within his chosen career for the sake of six months. The people on this board are very objective in their thinking with their feet on the ground. You seem to have an agenda. | ridicule
26/2/2019 07:59 | It would have been negative if Peter wasn't replaced. This is at worst neutral, but the usual suspects will say it is negative, yawn. | 2dinvestor
26/2/2019 07:58 | "I would again like to thank the BEIS and DIT for their support and I am confident that Versarien's plans in China and globally will contribute to DIT's goal of ensuring there is an economic benefit to the UK from our over | flatcoat1
26/2/2019 07:58 | Looks to me like yi spotted the ai opportunity for uk plc and then helped to drive it forward up the govs agenda. Takes a huge skillset to do that doesn't it ?Very excited she's here. She wouldn't have worked to get her ai baby where it is now, only to let it go for a duff prospect. Make no mistake, she's done her DD here ? Aimo. Glalth. Best ellis "Her most recent role was as a Senior Policy Adviser for the BEIS Future Sectors team, where she led the team's international portfolio, pushing forward the Government's robotics and drones agenda, and was responsible for publishing the artificial intelligence sector deal as part of the Government's industrial strategy to put the UK at the forefront of the AI and data-driven economy." | ellissj
26/2/2019 07:57 | He's got a promotion so I'm guessing it was his decision..and who can blame him?Adding a female to to the negotiations may be a blessing though (although Theresa May might disagree) | f3rdinand |
