26/2/2019 07:56 | I am interested to know what announcement Zina Cinker was referring to for today ;-) | grabster
26/2/2019 07:53 | 90% of stuff on here is irrational exuberance | davemac3
26/2/2019 07:52 | Energy ;-) | squire007
26/2/2019 07:52 | Looks to me Peter has completed what he was set on for. They are not going to pull him half way through. | jointer13
26/2/2019 07:49 | Bang goes her PhD anyway! ;-) | runthejoules
26/2/2019 07:48 | Always been more of a rationally exuberant type myself | magpie61
26/2/2019 07:45 | Sorry but I can’t share posters’ unbridled enthusiasm for Yi Luo replacing Peter Jay after only 6 months. Neutral at best imo. More irrational exuberance! | campbed
26/2/2019 07:44 | Probably insignificant - but Yi Luo was on a brief placement at Unilever many years ago. It sounds like she is a less fluent mandarin speaker than Peter Jay. | grabster
26/2/2019 07:43 | I like to think Peter was broken after 6 months by the sheer number of Chinese enquiries...either that or Neills 14hr days! Definite plus being of Chinese nationality and at the forefront of technology. There must be lots in the pipeline otherwise it would have been natural point to terminate that position. | moneysquirrel
26/2/2019 07:43 | How is this good news? Peter Jay was on secondment for a minimum of 12 months, after only working for VRS for 6 Months he has found himself a new senior role in the department. Yi Luo is only replacing Peter. 15/08/18 - Peter Jay, Head of Policy and Governance for Outward Direct Investment at the Government's Department for International Trade ("DIT") has joined Versarien on a secondment for a minimum of 12 months. During this period he will work exclusively for Versarien and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Company's planned expansion implementation in the role of Deputy Head of International Strategy and Government Relations | spid81
26/2/2019 07:42 | lets hope the stock market sees it the same way as you guys | mj10
26/2/2019 07:39 | It's all 'evidence based' these days, so to get someone like yi involved is clearly a tick up for vrs - she's been matched to the burgeoning opportunity here in my view. Peter has moved up the ladder after his sterling work - says it all. And yi likely sees this as a great secondment in many ways, for vrs, uk gov, uk plc and herself. Let's not forget bruno - lining the ducks up. Grateful holder here. Aimo. Best ellis | ellissj
26/2/2019 07:31 | Very good news indeed. Government support for a business they consider has great potential. As I mentioned before NR stated he is in the business of developing a ‘large’ company. Those closer to the action must be confident that a large company with the prospect of large profits is in the making and on track. | verger
26/2/2019 07:31 | Yi Luo - Publications: Mechanistic Insights into a BINOL-Derived Phosphoric Acid-Catalyzed Asymmetric Pictet–Spengle Journal of Organic ChemistryFebruary 5, 2015 The reaction of tryptamine and (2-oxocyclohexyl)ace I can't argue with that :-) | grabster
26/2/2019 07:29 | I’m reckoning a China deal is upon us...we shall see Couple that with another deal or two and we will be flying | jointer13
26/2/2019 07:25 | Yes, very unassuming and very pleasant considering he just arrived back from China the night before with no sleep | wuzy
26/2/2019 07:24 | Experience in drones and ai too ? Best ellis | ellissj
26/2/2019 07:23 | Indeed harry, end paragraph sums up why uk gov supporting vrs. Exploiting this game changing tech to further benefit uk plc. And sounds a great aim wuzy ! I like discussing further opportunities too. How big could this get people ? Holding here for success. Thx neill and co hard work and great craft. Aimo. Best ellis "I look forward to Versarien benefiting from Yi's skills and experience to help further progress both our existing Chinese relationships and others that we are discussing. I would again like to thank the BEIS and DIT for their support and I am confident that Versarien's plans in China and globally will contribute to DIT's goal of ensuring there is an economic benefit to the UK from our overseas activities." | ellissj
26/2/2019 07:22 | Great news/great replacement Well done TEAM Versarien!! BIG thanks to Peter Jay for his efforts and invaluable contribution i met him at the AGM really nice bloke! | mctavishscot
26/2/2019 07:21 | It is also good to have someone like Peter, who has had the experience of working with VRS and understands their challenges and no doubt frustrations, back in the DIT in what sounds like an even more senior role in the DIT. To my mind, while not the big commercial order we are waiting for, we have just been informed of a double win in terms of government support and gained an extra Ministry in the process. | ridicule
26/2/2019 07:14 | Experience in rail will come in handy when you consider we've got several agreements lining up in that sector | matheus7777
26/2/2019 07:13 | We could be waiting for the news to inform that we have reached WORLD domination that's the way we seem to be going.cheers | wuzy
26/2/2019 07:11 | Good morning. Today's RNS - something is brewing. Given all the Chinese action, a good fit. I like the end of the RNS. I think we are very close to a big deal. | harrysol
26/2/2019 07:11 | Defo looks that way to me jointer. Science background, analysis, developing strategy, commercialising. Team leader - 'go getter.' Welcome yi and good luck in all you do. :) Aimo. Atb ellis | ellissj |
