Institutions that know their onions have taken shares in the company - UoM, UoC and gnano. Shows great confidence in vrs. Best behavioural sign of confidence in future profits you can get to my mind. And based upon informed opinion re tech and it's potential. And we know that chinese panel of experts have checked over the tech too. Waiting patiently here. Aimo. Best ellis

Vrs has only been in the 2D materials game for 5 years. Look at the progress in that time? Stunning to my mind. Some firms labour with the same tech getting nowhere fast for years, typical aim. I'm invested here, that vrs continues their impressive rise and neill and co claim the success they deserve and build a big firm. Glalth. Aimo. Best ellis

the clever ones guessed at different stages over the last 9 months that news was not immenent and sold, probably checking nervously every day at 7 am
the nervous ones like me held on in case I missed out.
I would bet if news broke tomorrow those that sold would still get back in around 1.20 and would not have had money tied up for 9 months
how many promises of good news have we had in that time yet we are still waiting

anley, I can't believe that Neill isn't absolutely convinced that we will have orders in the bag in the near future... he said in the interview that they are working on a note out from Cannacord now... At the GEIC he talked about wanting to issue a note when they had something to shout about otherwise the market would tear us to pieces...

Thanks guys.

Whilst patiently waiting for news I was just listening again to the IG interview and it got me thinking more about the 5 key deals that they are concentrating on...

In it Neill states clearly that 2 of the 5 are Chinese...

He also says that the big 5 cover construction, textiles and 'electronics in China' (later he says "products within the Chinese arena")

Having told the team to concentrate on these 5, i think we can presume that the January trips were to visit those companies....

So my thoughts now are

1. AECOM - construction (confirmed)
2. TUNGHSU - electronics in China
3. The Chinese automotive battery manufacturer (2/7/18)- hence Roberto going
4. AXIA - construction and EV applications (Matt to Korea)
5. The sporting goods collab from 2/8/18 (Nike?) to cover textiles

I had thought the textiles deal that they are concentrating on might be the earlier textiles agreement 8/1/18 which I think could be Dishang ( but that is HQ in China so we would have more than 2 Chinese companies....

BISHo4 and LovatS have hit the nail on the head........Haydale and no news + nervous selling as a share price falls all makes for today's share price of well under 100p.

The big question is would these frightened punters come back if it slipped to say 60/70p?

So to get this price going again it will need VRS to announce orders which the market can then rate as to the profit potential of the business and believe me if this was to happen then all well and good with a target of September at the latest 2019.

If by say September there were no material orders/profits then who knows what the company would say...............its only 6 months to September 2019.

Woodp, I noted Neill's tweet:

28/1 NR Tweet: "Working hard. Matt in Japan. Steve, Roberto, Chris and Peter in China. I'm here but very busy.

Edit: As see others just said!

Can anyone tell me where Roberto went with the team in January? Did he go with Chris to China or Matt to Korea?

Eezy - no one on this board believes VRS is worth £145m if no orders ever arrive but should those high margin orders materialise you will have missed the boat of course.

The share price of all preprofit companies is a reflection of the market view of their prospects at that moment in time so it’s going to be a volatile ride.

The sheer range of applications for 2D materials and the size of the market opportunities is what makes VRS so interesting and potentially very lucrative.

MJ10, either nervous PIs or people looking to sell and buy back to make a little extra. Who else could it be?

Most investors lose money because they buy high and sell low... and this seems to me to be one of those situations. The price drops, PIs panic and they sell to preserve their capital.

We know of some who post on this thread that they took a loss selling their holdings.

Amazing. People are saying stuff like "VRS are on the cusp of a big deal".

The big cheese guy, so beloved that all the silly bulls refer to him as "Neill" so deep is their love, says himself "this is a long journey, this isn't something that's going to happen in days" (IG interview c. 3min 15). In his own words the process goes initial meeting, MOU, letter of intent, JVA's.

I'll believe this story when I see an order for £1m plus on high margins. And not a day before. It's an awfully long way down from £145m market cap. If this was valued at £20m I don't think it would be any surprise...

It is logical if you believe MJ10. It is not logical if you do not. Remember, investing is a hard way to make easy money.

don't agree.so nervous investers hold all the way down from 1 80 and then panic at 90p .not logical

Eezy munny is a shorter. Fact. fundamentals are p/e driven; enterprise/Hope values are news driven. Further fact. VRS are on the cusp of a big deal by any angle that one places the straws. If that happens, you will not be able to buy at these levels. This is not a seller returned scenario, it is one of nervous PIs, added and abetted by the shorters. Nothing changes.

Low volumes again today, suggests the fund sellers have exited (Miton), or are lying low waiting for the MMs to come knocking (Herald).

Sellers today are possibly PIs thinking they can re-enter later in the week and get back more shares for their money. The problems with this approach are obvious...

Fest...any proof, or did I miss the post?

i do not dispute the graphene tech,as industry gets a grip of tomorrows world tech, the demand for quality flake graphite will out strip supply, as china are in arbitration for direct supply from graphite producers.

but in my imho the jewel in the crown for the green revolution will be copper !

ff i wish your family member a safe recovery,of which reminds me of graphene technology being trialed in the medical technology, but sadly the boys from lancelot do hold back the tech, as it is adopted by the national health service and is costly.
