22/2/2019 09:52 | Completely bonkers imo that yesterday Hayd holders knowing at least 5p was in play, didn’t sell. Also the MMs were too scared to take the share price down due to FCA surveillance, or more likely they had stock left and wanted rid if themknowing 2p was coming. They know if they drop the price PIs sell. | superg1
22/2/2019 09:41 | Sorry, not trying to be rude but can we stick to VRS instead. Thanks. | taikor
22/2/2019 09:33 | Harry The sales pitch by Hayd which was untrue and after some hounding by me removed, was thatvall graphene would need to be functionalised with the intent to make people believe that Haydale was the go to company if you want graphene to work and disperse correctly. As they talked ‘our graphene’ many early investors also thought they produced graphene (including me not invested but reseaching it). In theory VRS or anyone else can now buy Haydale on the cheap which may be the plan of the funds supplying the cash. However the cash burn rate makes that a no go. Btw rumours in recent weeks were that Hayd have not been paying all their bills. | superg1
22/2/2019 09:18 | Harry - whatever Haydale have been doing, it sounds like they are yet again changing tack - today's announcement talks of further restructuring. Sounds more like an emergency shoring up operation to hold the roof up while occupants seek exit. | grabster
22/2/2019 09:17 | Almost a historic note now, but anyway......... Over and above the many strong details in Neill’s IG interview, key for me was his 100% focus on the business and its future. He was not drawn into p/e or to defend any particular share pricing; that was set by how the market saw the company, but of being on a journey and now only being “at the start of the race”. Instead he spoke of technical strength - “not failed any tests ever been in front of” - the opportunities now in hand with many more pended, of leading, of having “the stamina to bridge the valley of death” - he openly mentioned it, not the interviewer - of now setting up techniques for production “in very large quantities”, as well as other JV and licencing approaches, and of the international expansion already in hand in several countries. He said it had always been the intention that VRS would be a “proper business” with “substantial revenue streams”, was aiming at very high targets and pushing hard, and hence dealing with some of the largest companies in the world. Equally important for me was that such words from many CEOs could be dismissed as fanciful hopes, but from what I have learnt of Neill, I am happy to believe them. | hew
22/2/2019 09:03 | Haydale market cap today is £757,000 - I have always struggled to get my head around what they actually do. | harrysol
22/2/2019 08:54 | Hi, any suggestions for accessing live share prices? I can use google but it doesn’t provide buy/sell data. I have been using Money AM but that’s no longer available. | chelsea101
22/2/2019 08:50 | Mike I think even with all the very harsh warnings we put out that some were still holding Hayd as well as VRS. Timbo unfortunately (not his fault) like many before him fell for CEO and bod BS. I’ve seen it many times before. I warned re AGM and look what happened. I’ve been warning folk about Hayd for a long time. I don’t post negatively on one to boost another, I post my view on detailed findings. I was looking at Hayd and AGM as potential investments and found serious issues with both of them. I have posted many times warning PIs I don’t like to see PIs being shafted. | superg1
22/2/2019 08:46 | You're probably right busters though why anyone would pay even 2p/share in a company that is so obviously burning cash like there's no tomorrow and will only have enough to survive one more year, I really can't understand. | woodpeckers
22/2/2019 08:44 | The point re Hayd is the cash burn is so high that the cash raised isn’t going to get them very far. I have warned for some time what was going on, deception and serious issues. Also thst Arden deceit on the £1.20 fund raise which stiffed the funds and Ray. On the flip side a certain fund manager who took the advice of another PI is happy. If he has listened in the first place he’d be even happier. | superg1
22/2/2019 08:43 | I believe the 2p price is a direct result of the leaked news regarding a fundraising at 5p. The shareprice more or less halved when this was made public making it much harder for the company to achieve 5p so 2p was the best they could achieve. | busters
22/2/2019 08:40 | Haydale - by raising c£8m they are only raising enough to see them through one more year based on those half year results (GBP3.47 million loss)...then what??? | woodpeckers
22/2/2019 08:40 | VRS and Haydale: from VRS point of view whilst buying doesn't seem to appeal, I wonder whether it has some knowledgeable staff we might want to pick up, there can't be many graphene 'experts' around going spare. Having said that I don't know to what extent the work ethic at Hayd would have synergy with VRS. | spike_1
22/2/2019 08:33 | While I thought Arden would absolutely smash the share price I never imagined it would be 2p. However I did think Hayd may struggle to get any backing at all. So 2p seems to be the price required to fend off going bust. I can’t ignore that Ray knew this stepped down and started to sell shares with inside knowledge. On that basis imo he should now leave Haydale altogther. | superg1
22/2/2019 08:32 | I'm with Mike - I don't think Cannacord's note will come out without a newsworthy hook to hang it on. However I don't see that as being very far away and I would be surprised if it is not Aecom. Neill more or less said the 3T machine is up and running primed to take on the Aecom contract (which at the same time will demonstrate VRS's large scale supply capability to others). Without wishing to be controversial: CS: I am convinced there is an absolute link to him suddenly bailing out from ADVFN, and the fact yesterday that we finally stood up to him, and that some of us said we could / would ruin his career. He deserves IMO absolutely no sympany - his family yes. He is a contract employee and it would not be difficult to establish which agency he works with to get contracts, and he knows it. He has now (hopefully) slinked off. Whether he was long or short, in conjunction with the shorters he has - without doubt knowingly and - I would submit - intentionally, reduced all our current wealth, and caused considerable angst to many. We are well shot of him - assuming we are of course. Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
22/2/2019 08:30 | HAYD: £2 to 2p in 2 years, oh dear. I do feel sorry for their team and for all the effort and faith that Swansea University placed with them in those early days. I was tempted to take a punt there and even drove past the plant a couple of times to check on activity levels (I did the same with Perpetuus and VRS BTW), but then SG confirmed that they don’t actually make any graphene, so I topped up VRS instead - at 12p. Thanks G! | shavian
22/2/2019 08:29 | On Haydale... couldn't understand why people remained invested following the admission that they were going to do a placing at a substantial discount.... I think the market makers have certainly been hoping it would give them a chance this morning to do a shake here but thankfully the majority are aware that what is happening over there is of no relevance to us. Having said that, and on grabster's point, much as I tend to agree with him, on our website it does clearly state : Our objectives for the current financial year are to: Identify and acquire majority stakes in companies capable of commercialising graphene applications ...now whether you would put Haydale in that category is another matter...guess we have to accept that Neill is in a far better position to be able to judge that... | woodpeckers
22/2/2019 08:26 | Sounds reasonable assumption woody. Aircraft interior part ? Best ellis Edit : Per yesterdays interview, it is clear that aircraft interior part is in use 'as we speak' for european short haul customer ? Best ellis | ellissj
22/2/2019 08:21 | Lovat, verger, putting your two points together....when asked by the interviewer "do you anticipate a note in the near future?" Neill replies "yes, we're working on that now."....so this would suggest we can presume that revenue and profit margin projections to justify any valuation will be available soon.... | woodpeckers
22/2/2019 08:20 | I agree with Mike Brenner #66146 about Haydale and that there must be a knock on impact on VRS share price Haydale 2p pricing is a shocker and even then may be unsuccessful. Too busy enjoying Dubai tennis and food festival to read Haydale announcement in detail but looks from a glance there is no underwriting of new shares. | campbed
22/2/2019 08:15 | Oh well. I'll probably get a few hours a day back with this 3 nanosecond time out stopping me gazing expectantly :) | clint fleecewood
22/2/2019 08:03 | Yes, in yesterday's ig interview, Neill did say that many competitors have gone. Survival of the fittest. VRS are well funded and have a good turnover. Plus, VRS prospects are excellent. | harrysol |
