OT - cont'd.
Lse, yes the shares site is rubbish. All broken links and certainly would not pay them on that performance.
ADVFN times out quick but, once monitor list is in place, you still get a snapshot so will do for now.
I won't be buying an Apple anything. Ridiculously over priced IMO. I'm a MOTO G man. My live share price watching is done on my laptop anyway.

I suspect Haydale was one of the examples NR had in mind when he referred to consolidation. I am sure he was approached in some form or other as one of the Haydale restructuring options. Agree VRS should stay well clear.

Verger - I too think VRS could be a large company in due course but an analyst at Canaccord will need revenue and profit margin projections to justify any valuation. The projections will come but probably not just yet!

Mike - Neill did say in the IG video that a Canaccord analyst was writing some research and if it comes out soon I think it will be an opportunity overview rather than in depth analysis of VRS ...... unless there are some developments!!

O/T again but we're going to walk down to Endcliffe Park shortly where elements of the USAF and RAF will be flying over to commemorate a WW2 B17 crew which diverted its fatal crash landing to avoid Sheffielders in the park. Dan Walker, a BBC broadcaster, came across a local guy who was one on the ones saved and who has been tending the airmen's memorial in the park daily ever since and now today is international news (8.45 is the fly-over).

Absolutely nothing to do with graphene but on our doorstep and my old man flew Spitfires and Hurricanes in the conflict. If you can, take some time away from the share price graph and turn the telly on.

I’m Not so sure about that Mike - savvy investors know VRS is funded and the product works. Hayd going down means one lesscompetotor as well. But I am usually wrong!

Lovat Scout - I would be surprised if any research report is released before some major orders / JVs are announced. Think they are getting ducks in a row by getting it started now

I would be amazed if HAYD raises the money it needs and / or can successfully turn around its fortunes by growing revenue and becoming profitable with whatever cash they raise. Directors should have sold whatever assets are left rather than doing a placing at these levels - disgraceful behaviour to the business owners! Clearly not a partner for any large partner to work with due to state / risk of core business so we know where they will go to via the GEIC and other routes! Many investors may read across HAYD problems to VRS (and shorters will aid that misconception) so expect a read across to the vrs share price today! Top up time

I am sure the company has a view about its potential value. NR talked about building a large company. Large.

Clint, get yourself an iPad or IPhone . For some reason you can get the live prices module on ADVFN for as long as you like. You still get the 30 second timeout warning but it does not cut you off; you just press the reconnect button and it updates the page and keeps you live. My pc and android tablet spits me out after 30 secs, but not the Apple devices. Hope this helps. MS

Edit. Thanks Rid

Verger - unless VRS are going to produce some revenue forecasts (unlikely) I don’t think the Canaccord research will be more than an introduction to the world of 2D materials, their transformational potential and VRS’s pole position in the sector. This in itself is no bad thing as 2D is very much under the radar at the moment and the investing world needs to be enlightened!

Harrysol - I hope NR does NOT participate in any takeover or rescue or bailout of Haydale. Versarien has enough on its plate without such distraction. Too much baggage attached. If Haydale does possess any minor element that is of some use to Versarien, NR can perhaps snap it up in the event that Haydale goes into administration. But getting involved with Haydale as it currently is - no thanks! Sorting out Haydale would be a serious drag on Versarien's progress and would interrupt this company's declared focus, just at the time when prospects are coming to fruition.

OT - Anyone got a suggestion for free live prices? Money AM has been bought by Shares Mag, who want to charge. I don't trade enough for it to be worthwhile paying but like to keep tabs on days off. NB - looked at ADVFN but timeout is ridiculously short.

Me thinks that Haydale is likley to be taken over - not sure if it is any good to VRS though. Geic - Neill said consolidation in the sector was inevitable.

Bahamas Petroleum Co
Licence Term Extended to 31 December 2020
RNS Number : 8018Q
Bahamas Petroleum Company PLC
22 February 2019

Friday, 22 February 2019

Bahamas Petroleum Company plc

("Bahamas Petroleum" or the "Company")

Licence Term Extended to 31 December 2020

Bahamas Petroleum Company, the oil and gas exploration company with significant prospective resources in licences in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas ("The Bahamas"), is pleased to announce that the Company has received formal notification from the Government of The Bahamas (the "Government") as to the term of the second exploration period of the Company's four southern licences in the territorial waters of The Bahamas ("Licences"), confirming that the (current) second exploration period of the licences is extended until 31 December 2020.

The notification received is in response to BPC's request for clarification from the Government as to the term, timing of, and work obligations pertaining to the Licences, in view of time disruptions outside of the control of the Company since 2015. The notification provides clarity and certainty to all parties as to the tenure of the licences.

The Company's obligation during this second exploration period is to safely implement an environmentally responsible exploratory well. At the conclusion of this period, based on the results of the initial exploration well and in accordance with the existing terms of the Licences and the pertaining regulations, the Company will have the option to apply for a production lease over all or part of the licence area, and / or extend the licences into a third exploration period and / or apply for an appraisal extension.

The notification received from the Government also stipulates that the Government and BPC must in the coming months agree a forward work programme for 2019 and 2020 and a reconciliation of licence fees already paid, including during the period of disruption, with any future licence fees due up to the end of 2020. The forward programme will include the process for Environmental Authorisation, in accordance with the relevant Act and Regulations, based upon an application already submitted by the Company in April 2018. The Government has advised of the engagement of Black & Veatch, a leading petroleum industry consultant, to assist with this process. Black & Veatch previously advised the Government in the process for the Company's Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), filed in 2012.

At the same time, along with its advisers, the Company continues the process to secure a farm-in partner for the initial exploration well - discussions are continuing with multiple third parties.

Simon Potter, Chief Executive Officer of Bahamas Petroleum Company, said:

"The confirmation from the Government of The Bahamas that the current term of our four southern licences extends to 31 December 2020 provides the Company with a certainty of tenure over the Company's licences, replacing any perceived "above ground" issues with complete clarity in fact and law. This position has been arrived at following extensive government consultation and whilst this has taken the Company a while to establish, there is now a very clear two-year window to advance plans for and to drill an exploratory well providing certainty to potential partners as we move forward in our farm-out discussions. Today's news will add considerable impetus to this process. BPC's focus remains singular: to implement an exploratory well on its highly prospective assets in The Bahamas to the benefit of shareholders and the people of The Bahamas. We are encouraged by the support the Government has shown throughout this process, thank them for it and look forward to updating shareholders on further progress when appropriate."

Nice to see the respectful but open-minded supporters back in charge of this BB. Like them, I thought NR’s interview with IG was impressive. Very early on in the interview he said the race for the world to reap the benefits from 2D materials has barely started and arguably now is even before that race has begun. But those benefits do appear to be very large and VRS appears to be the most investable of the early racers both in terms of its current fitness and in terms of its positioning for a marathon race.

Nonetheless investing in VRS now at the current share price is a punt albeit one with attractive odds or risk/reward ratio. However holding VRS as one’s only shareholding is too high a risk for me in my circumstances (including age).

As I wrote last September at post #33429 and before, I thought some irrational exuberance by PIs had driven up the share price at the 175p level to beyond a value that could be justified. Today at the 90p level the share price offers a much more sensible entry point for those willing to take the punt.

Quality Neill, absolute quality and what a magnanimous person.

As for CS, I hope that the scencerity in his apology administers some relief to the pain he must be enduring from such a reprehensible outburst. Such a premeditated attack must surely have been a wake up call.
