grity - I don't think the building is the issue. I think the issue is that the potential JV partner(s) has a very different view of what VRS is (currently) worth to Ricketts...

Just reading an article and it seemed appropriate to post this section in particular with regards to peoples varying opinions on Neill's use of Twitter ...(though other bits are relevant).

The Reality of Silicon Valley
18TH FEBRUARY 2019 / ARTICLES & INTERVIEWS BY: VIKAS SHAH MBE / @MRVIKAS

Q: Has social media changed the relationship of founders with their audience?

[Kara Swisher]: Elon Musk is unusually communicative, but whether it’s Donald Trump, Jeff Bezos or so many more- we’re seeing people using social media to communicate directly to fans, bypassing the press.

Steve Jobs was kind-of a pioneer at this, he was always manipulating the press and getting the attention he wanted through events and other methods- directly with his audience.

Founders have often bypassed the press and gone direct to their audience, it’s just that today we have more tools available in order to reach people. What Steve was doing many years ago was not unlike what Elon is doing today.

This time last year Neill showed us pic's of some of the brand new factory buildings he had been offered (at China's expense), so yes it most certainly has been built.

"Remember the £55m investment talked about in the Jinan deal"

that was a long time ago. Whatever is going on in China (if anything), I doubt it bears much resemblance to how things were back then...

Mikebrenner, I agree that it will appear on media like u-tube. My point was more one of principle. There are enough knockers of Neill and he should be completely open when commenting on something as sensitive as the recent share price movement. It was that description of the impending interview that prompted my comment. With my holding here Ithink I am pretty chilled, but thank you for your advice.

Regarding our Unicorn discussion, I think we are in agreement. The one point I would make is that we may not have to wait for sales to come through. A big order could include a big upfront investment. Remember the £55m investment talked about in the Jinan deal.

If I was to hazard a best guess at the main reason/catalyst behind the share price movements this week alongside the sudden arrival and equally swift departure of professional trolls, one conclusion stands out.

A bear raid. There has to be a good chance that someone discovered at what level stop loss orders were concentrated and having unnerved some shareholders in the days beforehand with negative posts(probably leading to more stop loss orders being set), a coordinated sell off encouraged some to sell and also triggered the stops enabling the bear raiders to lock in their profits.

It would be a fairly straightforward investigation if the relevant authorities have the inclination.......

Nick,

PS Neill has done well so far, and Chris Leigh is a safe pair of hands. I hope they succeed.

Hi Nick,

Yes I bought a few thousand a while back to keep me following the story. There is no doubt that PI`s drove the price too high ( we have seen this so many times before ). I note that Katie Potts said that was what influenced her to sell. I intend to commit more funds if and when there is more quantifiable news. Without that news, the shares could do just about anything, but I would be surprised if you got in under 50p.

It seems half the world tweets these days: not for me: too long in the tooth, and better things to do.

Take care.

Spike, Investor days are shared very well on this thread for those investors who are unable to attend. Neill also tweets his VoX interviews for all to watch. I am amazed, given the scale of the share price collapse over the last few days, that some on here feel it perfectly acceptable that an interview specifically set up to hear Neill’s views on why this has happened should be a restricted interview. VRS should publish it on their website.

Hi Mike Brenner,

What they are talking about is increasing the energy density,

I.e a standard graphite based electrode has a energy density of around 330 mah/g

Silicon graphite anode is the next generation Lithium Ion batteries, this is what Telsa are reported of using in the model 3, This has a much higher energy density, Magnis Energy Silicon Graphite anode had a density of around 550mah/g

XG science have a Silicon Graphene anode that has a energy density of 2,000 mah/g

They are developing silicon anodes, which have a density of around 3,000 mah/g, these have issues with expansion, that is why silicon graphite or silicon graphene will be the next generation prior to solid state batteries.

Supercapacitors - have a much lower energy density to batteries, they do however offer other advantages over chemical batteries. i.e they almost have instant charging as there is no chemical reaction needed (moving the ions)from the anode to the cathode, there is a called Kilowatt labs that have a Graphene SC that has a 45 year life expectancy and is already being used in home energy storage.

Most lithium ion batteries only last a few years due to the heat generated by charging, this is why Tesla and many others EV's now use liquid cooling of the battery packs, this increases the life of the batteries, Tesla are seeing 90% after 10 years use.

Hi Spike, a question for Neill. "Why was such an important role as Technical Director offered on a consultant basis with what appears to be a 9-10 month contract, and what is the future for this role now that it was no attractive enough to retain Andrew Deakin?"

Mike Brenner - interesting link re batteries and Tesla. The question is can we make a link between that comment re anodes and VRS? If that is the case then anything is possible, as per Ridicule’s post, but if not then we risk another PI spike as per Katie’s comments.

Interesting.
