"Surely companies are legally entitled to know who their shareholders are."

inside a nominee account? I really don't think so. Sure they're entitled to see that iii, HL, Barclays etc holds a certain stake, but not the individual holdings within that.

Ratpat999, I don't think you're entitled to use the word 'buffoon' unless you can spell it correctly.

I doubt it's over, part deux will be with us shortly? Just waiting on a few more punters to express their relief at the price stabilizing?

"Neill emailed me directly to show me an extract of my own holding, those held in Interactive Investor"

a very clear breach of data protection and privacy legislation.

Hasn't Ricketts heard of GDPR?

I think a formal complaint to the Information Commissioner is in order.

Hopefully this is a lesson to many on here around a) position size b) topping up a position gradually as a company proves its business progress and the share price appreciates vs going big too early making you vulnerable to pull backs and the need to protect your capital c) the importance of doing your own research, to be critical of any investment and be able to build conviction in your investment thesis so that times like this are opportunities vs threats and you have a plan as to what to do d) the first 3 points then give you the luxury of being a long term holder rather than a trader (if you are the former and if you understand the timeframe to commercialise graphene properly it's years not months!). Finally don't underestimate the risk investing in "pre profit and material revenue businesses" like VRS ... volatility and downside risk is par for the course. Plenty of other great companies out there to get rich slowly rather than moonshotting! For any newbies read the art of execution and then naked trader as this will help you add some steel to your investment process and give you a framework to hang new knowledge off. Best Mike (ps been topping up a lot the last 3 months esp last few days! As the investment case in the business has become stronger - each to their own!)

Agreed, Plenty of hope in this share, of a type to believe in the reasonable expectation that neill can realise his ambition and build his 'substantial company.' It's often timescales that are often ajar, and events beyond the control of the company that influence then. Plenty of opportunity. Below quote from dk in response to detractors shows what's real to me. Backing neill and co here. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis

Yep, there is a time for action and a time for inaction.

For a relative newcomer to the world of investing this has been a good educational experience for me, and it hasn’t cost me a penny as I haven’t sold a single share.

Tut tut, nico; you did not really think they would make money so soon. Yes , the mkt cap got pumped up, but it could go a lot higher if they start bringing home the bacon. The story is good so far.

I forgot to tell you, ...I took issue with Neill Ricketts claim on Twitter that he knew the shareholdings of everyone, including PI's, even if they are in nominee accounts. I thought it impossible and legally questionable. However apparently it is neither.Neill emailed me directly to show me an extract of my own holding, those held in Interactive Investor. So remember, if you make claims about 'I never sold a share' etc, on here.... the company can check that, if they so wished. The remaining question is, why would they want to?However, I admit I was wrong and Neill was right. So, to flip a post I saw last night, if Neill is right about that, what else could he be right about!
