Thanks hattie and 20pc.

Isn't it amazing what this share does to you...I'm devouring articles on topics that I never thought I'd be interested in! I'm confident that given time it will make me rich and in the meantime it's making me a much more interesting dinner party guest! (I think.. 😂)

I have no idea what CS is arguing about I can't see it. What I do know is he had a tax bill to pay end of Jan (not my work) and that probably had him hot under the collar.

I'm sure his clients/customers would be horrified to see what he puts on forums and social media.

If vrs close these first five deals and the large orders begin to flow, I hardy think they will be trading on a p/e of 15.Once the consept is proven and the likely market size becomes apparent to the fund managers and the world in general, I expect a p/e ratio of 60 or more is attainable.

Thanks ellis. Woody nice link, just goes to show you are either making your future or you are part of somebody else's. Same here, you can either wait to invest on results or you can get in before the curve, both perfectly good investment strategies but at different ends of the risk line. I personally think that the big move will come before the results flag the opportunity.

Good read woody. phrase below by paul staffo stood out for me ie when we realise what it can do for us - and chimes with my investing strategy, that the disruptive benefits of 2D materials versus conventional are so significant they will be adopted earlier than new materials normally are. Edit : thought occured that it's the demand for data use on public transport london that's driving the need for infrastructure investment - re aecom ?

("Invention is only the first step of innovation. Stanford professor Paul Saffo put it this way:
It takes 30 years for a new idea to seep into the culture. Technology does not drive change. It is our collective response to the options and opportunities presented by technology that drives change.")

And James baker suggests although graphene is 'just a teenager' in terms of development, its progress has been quick. And of course, re that conference agenda, lightweighting, thermal management, plus battery tech is all in vogue as EV market takes off. And the more successful geic becomes, the more govt and industry funding it will attract. Ie potentially 6th sector in govts industrial strategy.
Aimo. Best ellis

Baker quote :

"What seems increasingly clear is that the GEIC – alongside the National Graphene Centre and all the other resources devoted to this technology – represents a new approach to developing an ecosystem for its use and development in the UK. However, Baker emphasises that these are still early days for the technology, saying: “It’s come a long way in a short period. Having only been isolated in 2004, graphene is still a teenager.”

Interesting read which is very relevant to our situation. We may be at the patience stage but any day now we could be hit the point when it spreads 'like wildfire'. Think Tony Seba and the S-curve 'where the early adopters who represent a small percent of the market set the stage for massive exponential growth as soon as the early mainstream users adopt a product or service.'

Steve hodge speaking at detroit automotive conference in march. Best ellis

'March 4 - 5, 2019 Crowne Plaza Detroit Michigan, USA'

"The premier forum for graphene and automotive manufacturers."

"Welcome to the GRAPHENE AUTOMOTIVE 2019 Exhibition and Conference where graphene researchers and automotive manufacturers will meet in Detroit to explore new graphene-based solutions for use in automotive applications.

Graphene, an ultra-light weight and immensely strong material has captured worldwide interest. Graphene is 200 times tougher than steel, incredibly thin and flexible, a superb conductor, and can offer a solid barrier. As production and processing of graphene has advanced, the automotive industries are eager to establish supplies, integrate graphene into existing processes, and explore new uses of graphene in a multitude of automotive applications including electronics, thermal management and structural uses."

Hi, I wouldn't normally recommend a Chinese speaking video, but it made more sense to me than some of the posts on here of late (English subtitles). Amazing, watch that 3D printer go. The company is Yinchuang Building Technique (Shanghai) Co Ltd or to give it its English name WinSun. They are collaborating with Saudi Arabia in an effort to 3D print 1.5 million houses in 5 years. In May 17 they signed a MOU with AECOM for both companies to collaborate on 3D printing for building design and construction. and the link to the video

£50m to £500m a year? Yeah, why not. Then multiply that figure by 15.

Its all about scaling up to meet the demand from up to 5 global companies. Neill said, after the AGM, that in order to be taken seriously by global companies demonstrating how you would meet demand is a prerequisite, he was very confident that this can be done.

This year, next year, who knows? But it is perfectly reasonable.

Yes SG, I agree the combination of material mixes and experimentation with VRS products and their customer base is truly amazing in range and imagination. The launch of GEIC will only enhance and extend these activities. We are truly on the cusp of something quite exceptional. The scale and rapidity with which all this happens is difficult to predict. There could also be eurekas emerging from UOM and Cambridge in new spin outs at any time. In just six months, we will have a much clearer picture in my view as the 5 targets take shape and academe continues to advance the field of 2D.

As Neill says, it is a race and one that he intends to secure pole position in. The recent suggestions by some on here that he is dragging his feet is ludicrous in my view.

OT You called Tern a HOS the other day when referring to a troll, nothing could be further from the truth. The 4 investee companies that Tern are invested in are at the cutting edge of other aspects of the 4th industrial revolution to VRS but no less exciting. As you know, I cantilever some of my VRS investment with Tern as an investment strategy. Or put another way, I am participating in 5 exciting 4IR companies, not just the one! My last lever action was out of VRS on 5 Feb at 1.29, into Tern and sitting on a 14% rise in Tern since. This rise could be much bigger in a matter of days, given the current Tern situation. In all of this I am still holding a seven figure level in VRS by some margin, so no cause from me for the recent share drop.
