If the benefits of graph end are really that obvious and so extreme, who is it taking ANY company so long to actually adopt it and place a significant order?Obvious question to ask, really. Apparently far too obvious for the deep minds on here...

Indeed red. I think the general point, is that often the benefits of using +nanene saves time/energy/costs rather than increase them ? Maybe ridecule could explain further for you as he has better knowledge from his background and because of what he heard from the ID. And/or email neill your concerns ? Aimo. Best ellis

Well clarified, I think we are in broad agreement, but your use of analogy is much better than mine!

As I have posted before, I do think VRS are guilty of understandable exuberance and that has no doubt translated into inflated expectations and delivery timescales for some shareholders. What has also become obvious is that VRS business plan has an elephant’s rather than a rabbit’s gestation period so as to produce a corresponding revenue lifespan.

If VRS have inadvertently raised expectations for some then it’s a mistake but no one is infallible so forgive them and let them devote their efforts to delivering results rather than being distracted by fighting an investor relations battle.

Ellissj, thanks for reply. As with all this I am DYOR and this is where total contradiction needs to be challenged. If we can get clarity without speculation there is less fodder for the derampers. Neills tweet seems very clear to me and reading the substantial Stockpedia notes from Mike B, one of the benefits of VRS over others is that they are assisting manufacturers with the integration of graphene into their products as this is not straight forward, whilst other suppliers may simply deliver graphene.. or graphite. Integration skills offered by VRS are likely to be hugely stretched with so many collaborations even with access to GEIC. Presumably we should be able to take NR tweet as gospel

The problem some investors have is that when they find a company with great prospects, they are impatient for and sometimes demand instant success - the underlying reasons would probably keep a psychiatrist busy for hours.

VRS is a new frontier nanotechnology company so instant results are not possible. I suspect that when the revenue stone starts to roll, whenever that is, it will gather a lot of financial moss.

Great post ms. Bottom line is, we should all want our investments in vrs to do well. Yes, some to and fro and lively debate is all part of it. But to run what seems a campaign against neill is unwarranted, and self defeating at this point in the companys cycle. The macro picture re trade disputes is extraordinary, and time frames re investment decisions etc are stretched to say the least. I imagine more so the bigger the company is - And per david kerr, vrs has 27 live global collabs in play. To my mind, enough has been said - we all get it. Time to rally around neill and co. Rats post re warren buffett quote spoke volumes to me - he gets behind his people to achieve success. And as all the greats do, they ride out the disappointments and rise above them to claim new opportunities :) aimho. Best ellis

I see a circle squared here? As i suggested yesterday, gavin williamsons comments were likely there to support US in china trade talks - to gain their help in brexit. 'Scratch my back' etc. Chinese know this, so ok about it; they got to 'snub' a higher status UK minister - phil hammond in return. Finally, trump comes out in support of uk offering trade deal after brexit. Thus my reading is no probs re uk/china - (i'll keep an eye out.) And given the facts have changed since xmas re economic numbers in china/uk/eu and finally Us dec drop in retail sales; it's in all countries interests to come to swift resolutions of their trade disputes. If so, general mkt sentiment should improve. And logically it becomes easier for vrs to expand internationally. Aimo. Dyor. Glalth. Best ellis

'Donald Trump says US-UK trade will increase 'very substantially' after Brexit as he confirms 'we are agreeing to move forward'

By Tim Stickings For Mailonline15:49, 15 Feb 2019,

"U.S. trade with Britain will rise 'very substantially' after Brexit, President Donald Trump has said. Speaking at the White House today Trump signalled Washington welcomed a new trade agreement with Britain and said 'we are agreeing to move forward'.  ;

His comments will be seen as a boost for Brexiteer hopes that Britain's departure from the EU will enable successful free trade deals around the world.

The President had previously warned that Theresa May's plans for close alignment with Brussels could 'kill' the prospect of a transatlantic deal.

'We're agreeing to move forward and preserve our trade agreement,' Trump said in Washington today.

'You know all of the situation with respect to Brexit and the complexity and the problems, but we have a very good trading relationship with the UK and that's just been strengthened.

'With the UK we're continuing our trade and we're going to be increasing it very substantially as time goes by.

'We expect that the UK will be very substantially increased as it relates to trade with the United States. The relationship there also is very good,' he said.

Washington's ambassador to Britain, Woody Johnson, backed up the President's comments saying a new deal would 'increase our trade substantially'. ;"

I've been silently reading/analysing this thread from a distance as I usually do. I can see, and understand, various sides to the story and the anxieties some have. Ellis has been the usual solid rock throughout the storm and made a great point about some being scarred from previous investments, thus carrying the pain forward. I believe one seeks genuine answers to remedy his pain, whilst the other simply hangs his heavily soiled nappy in public and is a total disgrace to himself and investors in general. I am relatively new to investing and heavily underwater having made a large top up in the 180s. I realise my own impatience was at fault, not VRS, not Neill, not BB posters! I have learned that patience is key, not only whilst invested, but also to wait for a good entry point. To add perspective I find it helps to zoom out on the chart. That view tells a totally different story to the macro one we're currently facing. I am happy to hold as the VRS story is going from strength to strength!

Red7 - yes, but probably in a beneficial way. Ie per tyres collab poddy - with +nanene added, the processes stayed the same, but less temperature and therefore less energy/time req'd re the curing process versus conventional. I think it's the same per thermoplastic carbon fibre per research i've read in the past. And per mike bremner - something similar re plastic bottles production versus conventional. Posted Just a couple of weeks ago - have a quick look through his posts, shouldn't take too long for the answer ? Hope this helps - can others also confirm ? Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis.

Cheers wuzy. Lol no plans re that. Superg kindly explained a fat finger/system glitch happened. Tbf, he was moderating alot of first post trolls last night, which probably explains it. He does well maintaining this successful bb thread, big committment and i'm sure we all thank him for it, i appreciate it. I see the tumbleweed blows through other vrs threads by comparison ! I still haven't seen the evidence that FGR can make sub 10 layer Graphene, perhaps that has a bearing on what they do.

Ridicule. This seems to contradict tweet from NR 1 week ago "... when you add nano materials to polymers things like operating processes totally change. https://t.co/7XGZZLcoGZ"... or am I misinterpreting his and/or your message?

Spid me old china, I’m a simple chap which is just as well as it allows me to understand your posts.

However, what I don’t understand is your continued insistence that FGR are going to benefit hugely from proximity to Tunghsu at the GEIC and they’ll be able to get their hands on FGR’s graphene.

Forgive the imminent shouting but you keep missing the point: IF THEY WANT IT THEY DON’T BOTH NEED TO BE IN THE UK!

Even if they wanted to go pick up a sample by hand, it’s 12 hours to Sydney from China, but 24 from Sydney to UK, or thereabouts. Are you really suggesting that the only way for FGR to get into bed with a Chinese company is to do it on UK soil?!

FGR most likely are waiting to see what happens with Brexit and the UK markets. VRS share price will have no bearing at all on their entry to AIM.

Richie32. Your post 59706. I recall that Neill at the AGM,in answer to a question, gave a very full response, stating that none of the processes used by the collaboration partners required any changes as a consequence of using any VRS products. I was very encouraged by this and I remain positive about this company.

Saw the weather forecast last night and decided to have a day out today (Get away from the computer). Spent a glorious day on the North Lancs / Yorks border. Highlight of the day was, when walking through a meadow by the River Wenning looking towards the majestic Ingleborough, I heard a movement behind me. Turning, I saw, running pell-mell, about three metres from me, three fully grown red deer. They ran across the meadow and without slowing at all, one after another, they jumped over a 4 foot high barbed wire fence and disappeared into the woodland. Beautiful! This was followed within seconds by a Hawk jet trainer about a hundred feet above me, one wing pointing skywards the other to the ground. Nature to science in seconds!

I returned home and switched on the computer -216 posts. As soon as I saw the share price I knew what to expect. I wasn't surprised by some of the glass half full crowd. Think I'll go out again on Monday

Evening SuperG1,

Just to provide the information to your quotes about First Graphene,

"Admission to AIM
During the quarter the Company undertook the initial work required for an admission to AIM. However, with the turmoil in global markets in October and November, which saw the Dow Jones Index lose approximately 10%, and the continuing uncertainly surrounding the UK’s Brexit position the Directors resolved to withhold going forward. The matter will be reviewed later in calendar 2019"

You should note that the Versarien share price dropped from $1.80 to hit a low of $1.04 during this period, Do you really blame FGR for delaying their listing ?

I know your worried about FGR, They are the UoM / GEIC supplier, where VRS collaboration partner Tunghsu will able to test its graphene,

FGR also have a sale of 2t of PureGRAPH 20 subject to gaining the approval from the Australian authorities, adding PureGRAPH 20 to the polymer provided a 100-500% increases in the wear resistance, you should also know the tests were completed to ISO17025 by an independent registered laboratory.

WG did mention in a investor presentation late last year that he expecting between 3-5tpa of graphene to be needed in the liner protection market during 2019.
Not sure why GEIC quoted 200tpa, Maybe that is a likely global expectation for the global wear liner market, with PureGRAPH offering a 100-500% increase in wear resistance it will be quickly adopted over existing liner that only last for approximately 6 months.

Do you know why VRS are yet to gain the REACH approval? they will need this approval to sell quantities of graphene greater than 1t in Europe, this means your upcoming sales to AECOM are likely to be less that 1t which would be worth between $100-500k.

Edit : Changed NICNAS (Aus Approval) to REACH - Euro Approval
