SG, I see myself as a LTH. Been watching VRS since the summer of 2017, and been holding since Nov 2017, adding all the way to the share price at 160p.I'll hang on to these as long as possible, but now I find myself out of work, with mounting debt. My point was, sure if you can afford the luxury of remaining a LTH holder, Roger's point is sound. But life can come along dealing you knew cards at any time, forcing your hand to sell regardless of intentions. I rarely post here, but in my current circumstances, that post just really pushed my buttons this morning.

Perhaps they can see what I can see re the Miton holding. IF Miton have been selling on the China news and it is anywhere near the level of previous months then they really are on the final straight with the chequered flag in sight.

If they are selling like in January then Hamilton has his fist in the air saluting the crowd before the flag.

To close a short you need the stock there.

We have no idea yet if Miton have been active. Logic suggests they have been active as for the last 4 months what they sell each month has been on the climb. China news came and the share price saw a dip. That suggests to me a fund dropped some into the market this month and most likely it was Miton.

Are you long term or just in it for a trade, not seen you about much. EG your last post was May 18 which was when Miton had just finished dumping a load into the market post redemption requests and the share price was in the 60's.

You'll be glad to know then that Miton are in the final straight.

Yes the business circs are important and that's why I invest in VRS. They are starting to look rather lucrative as in recent news.

The share price has been impacted by a record poor market over xmas driven by US turmoil and Miton finding VRS very useful to help stem the bleed re fund performance.

Heat, kitchen etc choices in life which only you can make.

Jimkbo - of course the price matters. Whether or not one plans to sell, in an increasingly uncertain world would you rather your shares were worth £50k on paper or £500k?Those that say it doesn't matter are just finding excuses for that incompetent Ricketts' failure to deliver.

Life has a habit of coming along, and providing circumstances, which can certainly make you sell. Perhaps your view applies of you've got oodles of security and back up cash. But otherwise, certainly to me, the price now really really does matter, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

2D - yes a poor article. They cover themselves by the chance of being anywhere between 40p and 169p. I think we all agree that charts are not applicable at this share.
They are correct however when they say "Essentially, the red uptrend should be mapped by closing prices, rather than intraday lows (see chart inset). This is fairly unusual and, to us, it generally implies a fairly tight control being exerted against price movements". We know this is the brokers at work with Miton etc.

If you are in VRS for the long term it does not make much difference. Nice to see paper profits. We all want that and I am confident that it will happen. Topped up a couple of times recently.
You either believe in the board or not, no one can force you to.buy or sell. Happy days.

Just to warn you before some try to misrepresent it as a reason to sell. There is a poor article on ii.co.uk looking at the technicals only. Whilst it tips it's hat to the positives, it feels like the author has an agenda. But he probably has no clue about the fundamentals .

"I mean they are going to buy back at some point. They work like traders that never bought and have to buy back."Yes, that's how shorting works, Graham. Once again I am stunned by the clarity of your insight.Tick-tock, tick-tock...

Good some don't like that news :-)

The difference between a supply and trading is the supply isn't buying back it's just a constant supply.

EG Miton have progressively sold more each month over the last 4 months. When they get to the last few I do assume they just dump them in a lump into the market to get rid.

For those short they are the 100% traders. When I say 100% I mean they are going to buy back at some point. They work like traders that never bought and have to buy back at some point to close the position.

The more there are as the supply runs out the better it gets for an share price bounce but it's harder for PIs to buy at the prices on offer.

Tick tock.

Btw after some research I can confirm the early Jan supply off was non PI related. The thoughts were the amount that came in was towards 1 mill.

It takes time but I'm already over 900k on the count so far.

Vague info to keep traders and the like in the dark(ish) if they want to do their own research and get the details that's up to them.

We all saw what happened over the xmas period without such supply in play.

I know all at VRS are very mindful of this and will be going out of their way to protect IP all they can. But this kind of thing never reads well:

OT - just a reminder that it is Valentine's Day tomorrow - don't tell yourselves that you've been together so long that you don't need to make the effort...you do....

A 'pressie' signed by Neill would go down very well too... ;-)
