What bounce Lovat? As far as I can see the chart has been flat as a pancake for the last 4 hours.

And whilst I'm here, may I extend my best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to all my VRS brethren on this bb; and that includes Rainbow. Don't know why, but I'm curiously fond of the old curmudgeon.

I am sure 2019 will bring great excitement and prosperity to all LTHs.

Engineering firm energised by Spanish patent award

One of Gloucestershire's most high-profile engineering firms is celebrating after a patent was awarded for technology which could make possible almost instant recharging for electric vehicles.


Sixty two per cent of Spanish firm Gnanomat SL (GNA) was bought by Cheltenham-based graphene specialist Versarien plc in September.

Now the Madrid-based business has learned the Spanish Patent office has awarded it a patent for its technology, which uses the wonder material graphene to make possible a new wave of energy storing devices.

According to the business the devices, for use in electric vehicles and portable electronics products, make possible almost instant recharging and provide very long lifetimes.

The patent covers a key element of this production process, allowing GNA to combine materials such as Versarien's graphene with metallic oxides in a liquid medium at moderate pressures and temperatures.

It is the intention of GNA to extend this patent to cover territories including, amongst others, further European countries, the USA, Canada, China, Korea, Japan and India.

Versarien has led the way in the development of graphene-related technologies, pioneering production of materials that have exceptional qualities and can withstand the most extreme conditions. The uses to which graphene can be put are almost endless.
