18/12/2018 09:01 | I see pres Xi's keynote speech yesterday disappointed markets re ongoing trade dispute with usa. Along with other data, eg imf forecasts, and china slowing down, germany and japan in reverse - i wonder if that xi speech gives the fed reasons to put planned interest rate on hold for time being. With brexit drama on hold until jan, some heat taken out of the market, and positive move by the fed could help sentiment generally. Aimho. Best ellis. | ellissj

18/12/2018 08:57 | I don't think this is helping: Brexit: Cabinet to consider ramping up no-deal plans Already been said it would have the same economic impact as a major war... | clint fleecewood
18/12/2018 08:48 | @superg ramping like mad again today. I guess he's probably selling down as fast as he's ramping. @luckyorange I tend to agree. Talga and FGR have given some very detailed test results of their graphene battery tech. Here is a picture from such an update. It looks like Gnanomat are very early stage which fits with comments that the Gnanomat CEO made in the podcast. ---- "The Company believes that the nanomaterials obtained following this methodology provide good energy storage properties in a reproducible way." Believes? Not scientific at all and surely it has been tested , either it does or doesn't ? Just poor wording I would hope! | loglorry1

18/12/2018 08:34 | My thought is that when we do rise it will be similar to the rise that went from 14p to 180p for this share. Built into that rise will be all the recent RNS plus a rock solid RNS which will bring everyone to the VRS table. So 1.25 to 15 pounds:))) | ch1rp
18/12/2018 08:34 | I know lucky. It’s been a real eye-opener on whether many actually read posts. Every aspect except 1 was posted in links and yet many still asked what Aecom were launching. The one I didn’t post is the actual dedicated website. That now just gives a blank page now which came about within 48hrs of reporting it. The site logo was a picture depicting exactly what has been posted about. Launching soon was the comment and you could provide your email address for the launch notification. Aecom don’t do small and they don’t do dedicated websites for one product unless it’s huge. I suspect the website is all about selling it worldwide and I see they are involved in just about every relevant sector worldwide. The current project customers love it. VRS have given the first update, they have indicated when the next update will be and have said the project is very large. | superg1
18/12/2018 08:28 | They are still rising while we remain static though super despite all the RNSs. We still have a lot to prove. | pshevlin
18/12/2018 08:26 | Must have been difficult at GEIC when the stand next door has 'the best graphene in the world'. One thing about Warwick it that he really doesn't understand British culture, with that type of statement in your face you would move on 😊 | luckyorange
18/12/2018 08:20 | Well they could say they have the best graphene in the world and the cheapest production process for quality graphene but they can’t know that without testing every graphene out there. Dr Luigi suggested there were 6000 producers in China. FGR must have hacked every company website worlwide and fully disected the 100’s of 1000’s of science papers out there to make their claims. That or the BS guy Warwick just makes it up. | superg1
18/12/2018 08:20 | I would love to see VRS achieve something on the battery tech, but billions have been poured into it thus far and little progress at the moment. Supercapacitors I think they have a chance of improving though! AECOM superg? Who are they ? 😉🌞 | luckyorange
18/12/2018 08:15 | A lot in the CATL information elliss, production up but profit down due to rising price of materials. Not a very good selling point superg 'believing' something ? | luckyorange
18/12/2018 08:14 | Thanks I need to catch up on posts. I now know many don’t read them as they would know exactly what Aecom are launching and how huge it is for VRS. I anticipate Aecom potentially will apply the same type of polymers worldwide in various uses. | superg1
18/12/2018 08:13 | No edge to this but half wit me can buy my 400 back even with commissions. But the elastic band on this one ..wow . | alchemy
18/12/2018 08:09 | Lucky On the ‘believe’ In theory many things can be scaled up based on pilot/lab tests. But until you scale up you can’t be sure. Either Sony or Samsung made a claim years ago re CVD and went from lab to large unit spending which didn’t work. Large scale on what Gnanomat are doing is the golden egg. Graphene and metal oxides are known to work, the problem is (as in graphene) mass production. VRS have the mass quality production for graphene and the Gnanomat process is believed to be the answer to the large scale metal oxide process. So hang onto your hat there if it all comes together. | superg1
18/12/2018 08:01 | LuckyO, that singapore supercap tech is v likely 3D 'graphene.' It's the energy management system that looks promising, and is patented. Re catl, sure chinese see an opportunity in ev's and li ion batteries, and from bloomberg vid they look set fair to dominate production. We know europe missed the boat on li ion batteries, i don't think they will re next gen tech. Ie graphene supercaps. We shall see who collab with gnano/vrs re this due course :) aimo. 18/12/2018 08:00 | Thanks Lovat Ellis is that a recent event? In other words folk that have holdings in anything that fund has should consider if the level held is material to the share price As I recall looking at the list last year very few had volumes. VRS and WEY stood out as companies with volume to sell into. It may be the case that Miton may be forced to sell off those without volume which could crash the share price of some they hold. Last year they went for the ones with volume that made them the most profit. I’ll do a quick scan of the holdings and see which ones are up and if any have volume. They could already be selling some of them. That holdings list just posted can be compared to the Dec data sheet when it appears. | superg1
18/12/2018 07:58 | Several people mixing up Miton and Milton. Both names exist among funds. Miton I presume is the relevant one? | grabster
18/12/2018 07:50 | The tell tale for me was pushing the redemption date back 3 months ! Best ellis | ellissj
18/12/2018 07:46 | Fest What do you disagree on the Miton remnants. Are you saying they will hold? They may do we’ll have to wait and see. They said that to Ian Cowie and others but sold a lump in November. Not long to go re them now if the do sell. The Herald fund was below 800k too but gentle levels re that one. | superg1
18/12/2018 07:42 | Re Miton microcap Trust(MINI) - there is another factor in play, which is if current market conditions persist, investors can redeem fairly close to NAV and reinvest elsewhere at more attractive levels. As SG says, the trust may have to sell what it can rather than what it wants to. The fund dipping below GBP 100m is also not good as it then slips off many investors’ radar due to liquidity constraints - a vicious circle. A lot can happen of course between now and the redemption date! AIMHO etc | lovat scout |
