17/10/2018 23:57 | Disruptive technologies can take time, but once adopted they will deliver serious gains to those who have been patient and sat on their hands imo. Vrs have a plan and they are sticking to it. The fact that everyone is talking about graphene, it doesn’t matter if it’s VRS selling graphene or securing MOU’s with a university or not. All graphene news is good news when it comes to the industry and believe it or not, loglorry et al. are playing an active role in creating additional awareness, which again is good for the industry imo. As a shareholder if we can get one of the major players to place an order for graphene then it will become a race to maintain a competitive edge. We don’t offer exclusivity so guess who the competition who are scared to be left behind will go too, those that have tried and tested and know how to implement it, VRS. Let’s all keep talking about graphene, good and bad, and when the time comes, which it will, we can all smile about our growing paper profits. At this stage China should be considered as the cherry as VRS has its fingers in many different pies. I personally think the market is looking in the wrong direction and could be caught short as a collaboration/order, or international expansion comes to the fore from another geographical location. Time will tell but I am confident we will all have a good Christmas, or at the very least 2019. Life is too short to wish it away. | ![]() diversification
17/10/2018 23:57 | Ok thank you re "." Good to know. Grabster, that was probably a reference to past results as he can't let us know how things are going until trading update/ HY results. One would expect revenues to increase every year, and materially preferably, especially given the highly upbeat feel we get from the team + the reference to getting "orders every day".. Are we expecting a trading update on Fri 2nd Nov? | ![]() mryl
17/10/2018 23:42 | Well company is valued at 10times as much as last year so I am hoping for a good improvement to support where we are heading | ![]() zooskeeper
17/10/2018 23:35 | In response to someone implying that Versarien had little or no revenue. NR tweeted (on Oct 16) ".. Group has c10m of revenues.." Obviously he cannot give out anything that reveals the latest half-year revenue that will be shown in the results next month - so do we take this to be merely a casual reference to last year's reported £9.2m revenue? Or can we read into it anything more than that? I am presuming that it was a casual reference to that £9.2m (2016-17) and has no bearing on more recent figures yet to be reported - but - he surely wouldn't bother reminding us of last year's figure if this year's is worse - so I therefore presume current revenue is at least equal or better. Since when he has tweeted (again) that "We get orders every day they just aren't bigger than we've done before." (Oct 16) They may not be bigger, but are they more numerous? "Other collabs spreading within organizations" (Oct 16) might imply that they are. Any thoughts? | ![]() grabster
17/10/2018 23:24 | It’s really important to regularly evaluate all investments of course - but in a constructive way. | lovat scout
17/10/2018 23:13 | Lovat Those type used drive me nuts, I don’t think I’m on my own there. I just switch off to them and wonder why they invest. I suspect at times that they are just gambling addicts. It won’t be long before a rush of posts appear once the next news is announced. So much going on news is always close re VRS. | ![]() superg1
17/10/2018 23:07 | Patience and trust in VRS to deliver in the end seems to be in short supply for some on the board atm with cold turkey setting in for a few of the RNS junkies. I have undiminished faith but thinking about taking a break until the next RNS to preserve my sanity! | lovat scout
17/10/2018 23:06 | I was just trying to cut and paste a web page but it was the wrong one. BTW re the supply. I worked it out and if it’s been in play at the same rate (seems it has) this week then I expect it to be gone by the end of next week if not earlier. That assumes no news of a level which may shift it. | ![]() superg1
17/10/2018 22:59 | Yep - except when it's just to reserve a timeslot that can be edited later with content that looks like a clever prediction of something that happened later ? ;-) | ![]() grabster

17/10/2018 20:44 | Remembering this tweet of neill from first day of conference, at the nga industry council meeting. He took a pic of the slide presentation for emerging trends in the industry, which i've typed up below for ease of reference. Essentially, track 1 likely refers to graphene producers per iso standards. Track 2 likely refers to graphite producers per iso standards. Thus, if you produce graphite, it is at a high volume for low price. And for graphene, (likely lab grade cvd graphene) vice versa. Neills comment in this tweet is, 'what if you can do both.' Ie likely +nanene &/or few layer graphinks; high volume quality products at a good price. This seems to be the current state of play in the 'graphene' industry per the iso 2D materials standards committee chairman; hope it, and my laymans view, all makes sense to everyone :) Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis. Emerging Trends. Graphene industry seems to develop a two track system in how they commercialise their 'wonder' material. Track 1. Quality. High Standards, quality and price. Low Volume. High Added Value Track 2. Quantity No interest in standards or quality control for a low price. High volume, low added value. Nga 2018. Dennis koltov. Iso. | ![]() ellissj
