Neill showed a photo of some car parts being made by VRS some months back and asked investors to guess what the part was.

Totally agree richardc77. A few posters on here need to manage their own expectations a bit better.

We know perfectly well the commercial deals are unlikely to come until next year and 2020 although I am a bit more bullish that we might see something pre-Xmas.

I bought in 13 months ago and the progress that has been made is way beyond my expectations.

I know Warren Buffett says when you buy a share you should be happy to hold it for 10 years. That is a bit excessive I know but you really need to be prepared to hold shares for at least a 2 or 3 year period.

I think the mindset,in part, is linked to the instant gratification society we now live in. The rest is pure greed!

See there are two outlooks in life, I think it is great for a number of reasons. We'll be there to pick up the pieces and will start a dialogue with Ford but if you were another car company would you want the competition to have an advantage.Things like this open up market #greatNeill Ricketts added,

Shorters are ramping the Ford graphene deal, won't be long before they're silenced I'm sure, with China or other news

By "We'll be there to pick up the pieces and will start a dialogue with Ford.." is NR indicating there that he is confident the product that Ford have ordered from XG will fail?

And where he then says ".. if you were another car company would you want the competition to have an advantage.." is he hinting that one of Ford's mass market rivals does have VRS material, and will benefit from keeping schtum while Ford take a wrong path?

I know Tim believes that if Ford have chosen XG for something, Ford cannot be wrong. But Ford have made mistakes in the past and lost money on them (they admit that themselves)

OMG there are some stupid posters on here and on twitter. Westbrook should get a life...he has obviously never run a business before and yet writes as though he is an expert. As for trolls...wow...what patience Neill has shown.
When will some learn that deals and businesses take time to bring to fruition. The impatience of some investors who write on this board is incredulous. If they don’t like the way the company is developing then get out, sell your shares and FO to another stock where the pump and dump brigades are prevalent.
It is so obvious that the trolling crowd are at work here. They are burning money and I reckon there will be a bonfire before too long.

Who knows what Club believes though...and he is whatever you think, a loose canon, putting words into Neills mouth that he never said (deals instead of proposals for eg) #liability

"Neill is basically saying that we are not as close as we believed we were to any game changing Chinese venture."

Are you in league with the shorters? 🤣

Have you thought at all that Neill may be on a gambit, he has continuously stated that Jinan is their first priority. What he cannot do is say on twitter that it is very close, he is in to win.

Nearing retirement imo you are playing a dangerous game, jumping from one rocket ship share that was then shorted big to another that has had a very big run up. Please be careful, if this is money you really need in two years, because nothing is a sure thing.

But whether you like Clubbie's approach or not, the fact remains that Neill is basically saying that we are not as close as we believed we were to any game changing Chinese venture. So, the hot money seems to have latched on to that, and is quickly moving away.I foresee the share price drifting much lower under those circumstances.I hope not, because I'd like to stop my wife worrying!

NearRet. There is shorting activity on here as on many shares but unless funds get a lot more stock what has happened to IQE will not be replicated.

This is my first posting, although been a regular reader on the board for months. Looking at today's activity with the share price value I am keeping my fingers crossed being long term holder that it will bounce back. Been investing for a few years and enjoyed both profit and loss.
I had all my eggs in the one basket with IQE for over a year and watched as my SIPP and ISA value drop by over 40% as the hedge funds took over and shorted over 10% of the stock.
Reading this board made me understand what was happening, having not been on the receiving end of those funds with previous investments. Read more into the method on the boards. I had been waiting for the share price of IQE to rise but eventually sold all my shares and watched as the share price fell further.
I was tempted to buy back at the cheaper price, which would have accumulated more shares. I retire in two years and made the decision to move my money into VRS and BUR, buying into VRS on an average currently of 182. The spread on the buy / sell at the times when I bought resulted in me buying at the more expensive price.
I am currently just over 18% down on VRS since I bought but this time I am holding long term. My first target is to get back the losses I have made with IQE so I am not going to panic and I am hoping that maybe by this time next year I will be in a better position than I am today.
I have seen it all before on how the shares are sold in large volumes to bring the price down, causing PI's to panic and sell. The PIs cannot control what happens with the share price as the market is just too complicated and there are factors like MM continually moving the price/ spread to attract buyers, which I accept is what happens.
I will continue to research the company and hopefully the collaborations take off, which will drive the share price up. I have now decided to just watch the day to day activity continue. I don't have any free cash to buy in the current dip.
I know the boards have both the rampers and shorters comments but I am just writing this post as they may be others who read the board but never posted.

And once the best materials combo is in play, it's how big you can make the surface area that counts ; the bigger the better storage/ power density. This 2012 paper upon 'graphene balls' show how surface area can be increased. Next after that, is 3D graphene foam, and/or graphene aerogels, which also increase surface area. I believe mike bremner did some research on graphene aerogels ? Just using logic. Dyor. Best ellis.

Conclusion in this battery research paper shows graphene/metal oxides amongst the best option that shows most promise. Which of course is what vrs/gnano combo have !

"The nanocomposites consisting of graphene-based and pseudocapacitive materials, i.e., those graphene/conductive polymers, graphene/metal oxides or hydroxides, are promising for achieving the long awaited requirement of both power density and high energy density."

Graphene oxide or/and reduced graphene oxide doesn't cut the mustard they say.
Aimo. Best ellis.

Well, I've persuaded my wife to sell a couple of underperforming shares in her ISA and chuck the money in here. Now her third largest holding.

Wish I had some spare cash.....

As Neill says...via Twitter to our resident dolt.

“There are 30+ deals on the table, we haven't agreed any that is all because they don't give us what we are looking for. It is only you getting frustrated @IWestbrook5 . You have a tendency to get yourself worked up in regular cycles. The guys are doing a great job.”

Yes Club Sarny does get himself into a lather on a regular basis, we’ve seen it many times now, when the share price falls. I’m not sure he understands shares go up and down, perhaps he should be forbidden from investing for his own good? Clown

Crikey @hk I've got other things to do than instantly respond.

To quickly answer your question. Properties include

Lateral size
Aspect ratio
Number of layers
Price
Lead time
Variance of these properties across the product supplied.
Ability to deliver in required quantity.
Ability to provide IP knowhow required to mix, blend and use the product for the application.

To answer someone else's question XGSs products are not 100 layers thick.

To answer another question the PAS (precursor to iso) did NOT included Raman as a method for measuring distribution if number of layers go check.

To answer someone else XGS provide a Raman graph similar to the one on the nanene spec sheet but they do NOT say it's used to infer number of layers.

loglorry doesn't answer any questions he finds awkward - he just goes quiet a while and then comes back with some unrelated other point that he thinks he might get somewhere with - but he always runs into the sand with every attempt. In all the time he's been here the share price has multiplied regardless.
