that is what its all about...getting it right.

neill.

"I am confident it will happen, it is important for us to be in China due to the opportunity but we need control of IP and freedom to operate amongst other things"

so we know if we see an rns one morning re china,we know it will be good because of the effort that is getting put in now.

My idea is that the potential of 2D materials is exponential and will always outgrow it's physical production and if this is true, will always exhibit a greater blue sky reward. But Only If you have the best and/or most sought after product and stay in the top 3 of 2D companies worldwide. Which is likely why neill wants to be 'dominant in graphene batteries' amongst other things. And barring unforeseen events/black swans etc. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis.

Are we any nearer a cliff edge, a deal or something completely different. At least there are no fixed timelines looming for Neill. The comfort of negotiation is, if you get it right, everyone is happy. Welcome to the VRS Hamlet.

It would be good (and useful) if a worthwhile China deal was signed before the Santa Clara 14-15 November event
(Stephen Hodge of Versarien speaking 11-11;30am on 15 Nov)
(Flexenable are there. Zap&Go are there) (Versarien display is Booth Z27 - next to Grolltex and close to NGI, Thomas Swan, First Graphene)

(though addressing senate with a China deal in the bag would be the bigger impact, and there's no deadline for that).

Well let’s be honest if the Chinese want our Nanene one of the 30 is going to have to come to our table. That could happen at any time.

"Jointer... it’s not an insinuation, it’s a simple extrapolation from Mr Ricketts telling us that none of the 30 odd Chinese deals are good enough at this time."

that could change within minutes... its called negotiations.

The difference between NR/his team, and the average investor here is this.......the latter say they are in it for the long term, but what they actually mean is “I want a lot of profit and quickly please, so for crying out loud sign a deal!!”.......whereas the former are in it for the long term, to create something incredible and durable, so what they are going to do is make sure ANY deal they strike is best for the company, LONG TERM.

If you can’t live with that you may as well sell out now, imo.

Neill showed a photo of some car parts being made by VRS some months back and asked investors to guess what the part was.

Totally agree richardc77. A few posters on here need to manage their own expectations a bit better.

We know perfectly well the commercial deals are unlikely to come until next year and 2020 although I am a bit more bullish that we might see something pre-Xmas.

I bought in 13 months ago and the progress that has been made is way beyond my expectations.

I know Warren Buffett says when you buy a share you should be happy to hold it for 10 years. That is a bit excessive I know but you really need to be prepared to hold shares for at least a 2 or 3 year period.

I think the mindset,in part, is linked to the instant gratification society we now live in. The rest is pure greed!

See there are two outlooks in life, I think it is great for a number of reasons. We'll be there to pick up the pieces and will start a dialogue with Ford but if you were another car company would you want the competition to have an advantage.Things like this open up market #greatNeill Ricketts added,

Shorters are ramping the Ford graphene deal, won't be long before they're silenced I'm sure, with China or other news

By "We'll be there to pick up the pieces and will start a dialogue with Ford.." is NR indicating there that he is confident the product that Ford have ordered from XG will fail?

And where he then says ".. if you were another car company would you want the competition to have an advantage.." is he hinting that one of Ford's mass market rivals does have VRS material, and will benefit from keeping schtum while Ford take a wrong path?

I know Tim believes that if Ford have chosen XG for something, Ford cannot be wrong. But Ford have made mistakes in the past and lost money on them (they admit that themselves)

OMG there are some stupid posters on here and on twitter. Westbrook should get a life...he has obviously never run a business before and yet writes as though he is an expert. As for trolls...wow...what patience Neill has shown.
When will some learn that deals and businesses take time to bring to fruition. The impatience of some investors who write on this board is incredulous. If they don’t like the way the company is developing then get out, sell your shares and FO to another stock where the pump and dump brigades are prevalent.
It is so obvious that the trolling crowd are at work here. They are burning money and I reckon there will be a bonfire before too long.

"Neill is basically saying that we are not as close as we believed we were to any game changing Chinese venture."

Are you in league with the shorters? 🤣

Have you thought at all that Neill may be on a gambit, he has continuously stated that Jinan is their first priority. What he cannot do is say on twitter that it is very close, he is in to win.

Nearing retirement imo you are playing a dangerous game, jumping from one rocket ship share that was then shorted big to another that has had a very big run up. Please be careful, if this is money you really need in two years, because nothing is a sure thing.

But whether you like Clubbie's approach or not, the fact remains that Neill is basically saying that we are not as close as we believed we were to any game changing Chinese venture. So, the hot money seems to have latched on to that, and is quickly moving away.I foresee the share price drifting much lower under those circumstances.I hope not, because I'd like to stop my wife worrying!
