25/9/2018 17:32 | "...He also talked about the 'Government Angle' - and pointed out the value of their 'little black book' of connections and "High net worth individuals willing to invest" (I wondered if this is how we found our new cornerstone investor)..." Theresa May is married to Philip May, an investment banker currently employed by Capital International. Due to her position his role there is customer care related at present - but he must have contacts who also have contacts.. | ![]() grabster
25/9/2018 17:31 | I wouldn’t read too much into “burning cash”, it is just a turn of phrase and doesn’t imply anything out of line or excessive, it’s what companies do before turning a profit. | ![]() johnveals
25/9/2018 17:22 | One other point.. He was asked if he would like to have manufacturing facilities all around the world and replied that that would be the preferred route because of retention of IP but they would need different models depending on the territory because of politics, funding etc. He made a few 'random' comments throughout with similar themes , he wanted to 'deal with the whole supply chain', 'Being a graphene producer is not enough', he wants to 'protect the IP around applications'. He also talked about the 'Government Angle' - and pointed out the value of their 'little black book' of connections and "High net worth individuals willing to invest" (I wondered if this is how we found our new cornerstone investor). | ![]() woodpeckers
25/9/2018 17:20 | Certainly seems like China top of the agenda. US accreditation not hinted as being close, but is being worked on | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/9/2018 17:09 | I wonder if we should be concerned that we have a CEO that believes Wales is the best country in the world. Apart from that everything he said was credible. | chumbo1

25/9/2018 16:54 | chumbo, I picked up on that comment but do wonder if he was talking historically? I wouldn't be surprised if we are but the way it was said could have been referring to the last set of accounts... Anyone else any thoughts on this? | ![]() woodpeckers
25/9/2018 16:52 | Was it Chinese companies ? I thought I heard provinces - ie like Jinan. Maybe both ? | ![]() luminoso

25/9/2018 16:43 | Neil said first trip to America will be on 13th Oct. he was desperate to stop Peter from saying to much. Threatening to rugby tackle him if he got to close to spilling the beans. Said Whitehall had a massive press office ready to report good news when it comes. he said he has been avoiding America as to busy with China and others. David was asked if he thought we were close to receiving our first major order and indicated that he thought it would not be long . Bruno is an Asian guy that was educated in Manchester or Cambridge university. Who is living in China. He is currently working with Peter. Gnanomat are already working with. zap and go. And have many interesting collaborations of there own which Versarien can help via the purchase. Neil said he would like to go to America with a Chinese order in the bag and be able to say. You are behind. China would you like Versarien to help the US to catch up. The David stopped Neil and reminded him some of the American collaborations are massive. Neill said there was no plan in place to build a factory in Wales. But he has been speaking to welsh government for 4years. The new machine will arrive in December and installed in the factory in Cheltenham. We are talking to substantially more than 30 Chinese’s companies I left feeling Very very positive. I don’t think we have much longer to wait re China | graphite bot
