anley - I will. Of course I'll sell some on the way up (but not for a while yet - won't even think about selling any [unless I have to] until £20+), no point starving in paradise, but I'd hope to still be holding at least a rump stake (as opposed to a rump steak) many years down the line...

Dianne - VRS are like the vast majority of companies who spend vast amounts of money in the early years and then reap the rewards thereafter. Think about Tesla - they don't make profits but valuation is $50 billion. Think about oil drilling - massive outlay - then gush $$$$$$$. Same for VRS. Tomorrow we find out much more. £2 may seem like a bargain in years to come.

There is no point day trading this stock. Even for those who trade it for short time (some days based on technicals) won't sell either.

For those that already owned shares but took part in the bid, they can flip today with shares that are already in the portfolio.

Alternatively,

Those that didn’t own shares already can now sell those shares by shorting the stock at today’s prices.

Therefore,

Any flipping would already be taking place if it was to happen and as such I would expect this stock to continue to rise this afternoon as the flippers flip off.

If everyone who got stock is an existing shareholder much of the selling will be happening already as they will be flipping their current stock in anticipation of getting the new shares.Why would they wait? (Unless they were going to hold until it hits £10 :-)

you're sounding very desperate.

very clearly the market disagrees with you. Perhaps because there are those out there who actually understand this company and its potential and don't just swallow TW's dubious utterances hook line and sinker.

If you're very lucky, the new shares hitting the market might cause a retrace. That's the time to close your short (albeit at a loss). But as for a 'collapse' to 30p, that's totally la-la.

I do hope you've enjoyed living in the house you will have to sell to cover your losses when you get closed out of your short positions?

It does take some days before share transfer, mine took over 1 month and there were not for flipping.

The way you can see some instant flipping is if MMs get hold of some.

Yes MMs bid in primarybid too. Why not, they get them at a good discount as simply forward sell them if they get allocated to them.

EG an MM could have had some today form that route at 145p and they simply flip them into the market at a pierce they choose depending on demand.

It seems it was so oversubscribed the spivs Lovat talks about could have been sieved out and hence the MMs have no stock.
