ellissj - Thanks for that info. So Maybe we will get ISO standard level A, B,..Z etc.
Everyone will be happy, they can say "We meet ISO standard" just not shout about the 'level' too much if you got a 'Z grade'!
I guess the testing service can maximise revenue that way as well -lol.

Sold 6094 at 1.356 and just bought them back at 1.33 - gaining 110 shares.

Risky but I have no spare cash so have to grow my holding somehow!

110 may not seem like much but it is if they're worth £50-£100 in a few years (wild speculation I know)

I imagine many retail guys got home last night and were impressed with the share price rise and hence cash in this morning.

It's the same thing day in day out here.

All I'm interested for now is what singer do. They are on the bid currently. Other MMs are just flipping the sells.

Here is a check-list for the VRS report tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what progress Versarien has made on the points below. Chinese deal is standing out as its been 7 months since the last update.

Full check-list in tweet.

Will send an update tomorrow when the report is out and after the call to see what progress has been made.

Andy

Chill explained it the other day. When stock gets tight and a supply not in play they open the soured to add protection for an unknown run of Pis buying or selling etc.

It's fairly predictable with a supply or big bids in play.

I like them as it keeps the SB gearing folk on hold.

No doubt TW and co will be desperately putting an article together(I don't read them) come tomorrow, to try to stave off the increase in revenue YOY that the market will see.

He should take his own advice, toss his computer into the sea and F off to Greece.

The large spread is due to the fact the share is not very liquid ie not a lot of them around so volumes are lower, so for mm to maintain profit margins the spread needs to be bigger. As opposed to say a company like Lloyds where there are huge numbers of shares bought and sold every day the spread can be 0.1 of a pence.

'UK also probably fed up waiting for ISO standards to get its act together!'
One can't help but suspect that countries who's graphene producers are less than top notch may be the spanner in the ISO works, hence this pre-emptive measure from OUM etc..

A few weak hands showing their hand first thing, will all be mopped up by the buyer who tucked into £400k worth within a short space of time yesterday imo.

Didn't ray gibbs visit the 'british standards institute' office in china earlier this year to meet with reps of chinese 'graphene' industry to harmonise standards ? Which to my mind, is organising standards for non iso compliant graphene. Ie lesser grades of graphene that might nevertheless have some commercial value when enhancing products eg. Chinese 'graphene' tyres, that probably offer some improvement versus conventional. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis

Indeed, i agree the new products register should also dovetail with the proposed iso standards, else it could weaken the uk's position in supporting the roll out these standards worldwide for example, but of course i presume because these standards are 'disruptive' to the emerging graphene industry in the uk -as they are worldwide - no mention of them has been made. It's been suggested 90% of what is currently described as 'graphene' isn't. I imagine graphene firms will apply for their products to be characterised, and upon testing be catagorised upon the register as to their not only their characteristics eg few layer, lateral sizes etc. But also whether they are iso compliant, and even their end use suitability. Maybe catagories for iso non compliant 'graphene' could also appear on the register, but for lower technical end uses, eg coatings etc. In effect keeping the whole industry on board presently, but ensuring those supplying iso compliant graphene should eventually win out by law of supply and demand. In which case, as i've suggested - vrs is sitting pretty indeed. And this new service can only enhance our position within the industry. Aimo. Best ellis

Ok I see NPL +NGI +UoM will offer a UK based service(£)to test Graphene etc.
In this link:

It says at the bottom:

Ray Gibbs, CEO at Haydale Graphene Industries, said: “As Chairman of the Joint Working Group on Graphene Standardisation between China and the UK...
(Were the quote ends I don't know because I can only see two lots of opening quotation marks and no closeing quotes.)

So is the UK service working with a similar China service or is this some Haydale
bunkem?

Newby comment alert!!Sorry guys, regarding the large spread, I assume this is because the MMs know this is in demand and want to make a large profit on it? Is that correct?

Superg1, just to add to your comments about buying. I know of someone who has added during the past couple of days over 100k to their already substantial holding. They would have bought more but the share price went beyond their order limit.

I wouldn’t expect too much detail about collaborations, JVs etc as the NDAs will have commercial secrecy clauses to protect both parties. Those that need hard numbers and revenue projections will probably be disappointed.

In my view, investors can take great comfort from the fact that HMG has overseen £120m+ of investment in graphene industry and to ensure a return on that investment, has seconded MW to the company with the best chance of delivering a successful commercial outcome for UK plc.
