I wonder how that guy who said he'd be shorting this all the way to 1p is getting along?

I think most investors here are experienced and in FCA terms "sophisticated" so can see through the shorters tactics.

I think they have been a bit wrong footed by the volume of newsflow over the past few months and also that there have been several new funds coming on board.

No doubt they will be at full volume in 24 hours time!! So be warned!

AAC ISO gained

Just thought spilling. I wonder if that was sorted to clear the way for graphene enhanced plastic products to be sold to a wider audience.

I keeping a track of it all I just don't post it. :-)

On the YE news the bits I'm looking forward to are some updates about the various collaborations. On the investor day it was said they have seen good results in just about everything they test it in and some patents are in play in general that we haven't hard about yet.

Perhaps they will be able to put some bits in, I don't know, perhaps they can't due to NDAs

It is all about graphene that does work v graphene that doesn't but I suspect some will slip in that doesn't.

I say that due to lateral sizes but the guys involved should be well aware of that.

The key is it will knock out 95% plus of the graphene claims out there, then the big names will be left with a small number of graphene to test and then find out which works and which doesn't.

Different types of platelets can give different results.

EG some can get to under 10 layer buy suffer on lateral sizes which means they won't bind with composites properly.

EG some synthetic versions have an average lateral size of 500nm and lower which is of no use for composite strength looking at some science papers.

The same goes for Non synthetic like XG sciences grade C where a science paper said they were so small on the lateral they could not longer call them platelets. Thomas Swann also have an issue with lateral size.

Two types from TS and 2 from XG won't meet the grade on layer levels.

Some make claims about layer level etc but when tested it can be multiples of the claim, so it made me smile in one paper where they tested Nanene, it was exactly what it said on the tin.

Only a v slight mention (bordering on negligible) of VRS within today's Herald Investment Trust RNS: In percentage terms, the biggest returns came from Seeing Machines, Lombard Risk, Elektron Technology and Versarien; all of these more than doubled.

ellis - I am presuming that NPL/NGI procedure will mimic the procedure applicable to ISO - and that this NPL/NGI facility will itself become one of the ISO global network of authorised 'test centres' when that network eventually takes shape.

It would make no sense for the NPL/NGI to be operating a different or contradictory service.

Agree superg, I don't care about the next rns I am looking at where the company will be in two years time. All this desperate sounding daily worry about a rns or not is petty in my view. This is my biggest holding, I am content to leave Neil and others to get on with it rather than continually post here

A 'characterisation service' with a register is welcome, but is worthless to potential vendors without an additional comment as to whether their graphene purchase will also be compliant with the propsed iso standards to my mind. In effect, this new service would be de facto iso compliant too, although no official mention of this point has been made. Reading between the lines though, this seems to be the case if you follow the money ie changes in share prices of uk graphene firms. Aimo. Best ellis.

On bear lies and games it's supposed to be like this.

The herd gets excited flies in and gears up on high prices on a share. Bears then go short and lie repeatedly.

They then try some weeks back to get a rumour out that a massive fund raise is going to fund the China deal. That didn't work either.

So now its desperate stakes trying to relate the share price to the upcoming results to get Pis to sell, shorting hasn't done its trick and the typical funds to stock out on loan are not there.

I'm not guessing when I say most of those shorts are small but there was one half decent that will (if still in play, haven't checked recently) have cost that person enough to make misled longs smile.

For some weeks now they have been going on about Investors (us) will be expecting there to be big sales in graphene. NOPE if there were such big sales each one would have appeared as an RNS.

My hope for the year posted way back was they might get to 3 kgs in a combination of bits and pieces supplied.

For this year I'm not really looking at sales now other potential like hints of licensing and royalties from various companies which has already started.

On the coming results, Personally "I ain't BOVVERED"

Look at this face, look at this face, I AIN'T BOVVERED.

Grabster, thanks for the FCA link on graphene scams. There were some odd comments in their warning:

"Manufacturing companies that use metals like graphene tend to buy them in very large quantities, making them an unlikely investment for consumers".

"Because graphene is unregulated, it is difficult to confirm that you have even bought the genuine product".

and

"Even if an FCA-authorised firm is involved in the sale of graphene, because it’s an unregulated product you have no right to compensation if something goes wrong".

What on earth does 'something goes wrong' mean?

HAYD RNS - given HAYD aren’t involved in the characterisation procedures, I can only assume that Arden allowed the RNS as it theoretically aids their business as a materials intermediary. Pretty tenuous stuff.

No need. It will presumably be alluded to tomorrow in either VRS's results statement or in further statements the same day. Or even by the PM in PMQs today? (re the industry not re VRS)

Sonsonny

Very odd.

They only one in the bunch that doesn't produce any graphene and they release it as news. Yes lol a lot. That will really help those that think Haydale produce graphene, they'll be convinced now.

Perhaps they are hoping the headers confuses people and makes some think they are involved in the characterisation service
