22/6/2018 09:54 | Just had a response from Inov-8 "We are the supplier of the Graphene. It has been developed with Manchester University and its our development." I have asked if they use GO or GNPs... will report back further... | ![]() woodpeckers

22/6/2018 09:28 | The clincher for me rid, was the uom research paper using graphene oxide claimed a 50% improvement in rubber. That same claim now used in the inov-8 trainers. Aimo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
22/6/2018 09:28 | Another dot ? Literally just spotted it. So VRS top guys at lunch with the AIM bosses. Then off to Canary Wharf level 39, Silk ventures and so on. scale up annual review 2017 Level39 DIT heavily involved and so on. An interesting read which I have yet to go through in full Then you have the relatively new, London stock exchange scale up initiative. Then you have "Funding available for scale ups - a discussion with the London Stock Exchange" The LSE Elite programme. There is a lot going on. | ![]() superg1
22/6/2018 09:25 | Looks like comment from one of our LTHs below: Jan Latusek • 3 hours ago The only scientific data sheets I've previously seen discussed in the run-up to the launch of these Inov8 shoes appear to indicate that they don't actually contain graphene, as defined in the ISO Standard SO/TS 80004-13:2017 but some lesser form of graphene oxide. Shoes containing true graphene are still a few months away and will offer significantly better characteristics than can be obtained with graphene oxide. Other shoe manufacturers are reportedly collaborating with a UK maker of graphene which does meet the ISO standard. Link: (shared earlier here) | ![]() ashehzi

22/6/2018 09:24 | Super - "Today, that number has fallen to around 2,030, a reduction of a third in only a decade." because a lot of them were like Paragon or Potash - utter fraudshows and investors wised up to them after losing a large packet. the con-men have made their money and moved on - although some like Manduca seem to want a second bite of the cherry with his new(ish) brain cancer company... | ![]() club sandwich
22/6/2018 09:23 | Indeed, logically, i imagine if there was a grand multi province deal, effectively the ip could be valued differently than on an individual province basis. Aimo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
22/6/2018 09:16 | Thx shavian, that's about right ! The wild west indeed ! But if UK PlC is to do well out of 2D and build on the lead it has, then it should be charting new waters here. And maybe that explains secondment matt walker. Else other countries 'will do it better' and another opportunity will go begging. Just like the www ! Aimo. Best ellis. | ![]() ellissj

22/6/2018 09:15 | My view from Neill's WOFE comment that "they have done it", refers to the Jinan deal. Since January, they have put into practice a WOFE process that both Governments and the associated industries have signed up to. I can believe his comment that, that would not have been an easy process. They now have an agreed framework to take negotiations forward and this is very important in avoiding any ambiguities or misunder standings. The other Provinces wishing to join the party will have had to be inducted into WOFE as participating members and this may have slowed things down a bit. A no-go issue could still emerge (IPR) but the Chinese desire to get ahead of the game with the real solution (Nanene) is likely to overcome any perceived difficulties, even if VRS play hard ball which it seems they are. Without an alternative competitor that can produce at scale, the Chinese have nowhere to go and this deal could be announced quite soon. My latter point was what caused me some nervousness with the UOM Innovate8 deal and their rapid deployment to market once testing was complete. If that solution is purely GO based fine, if UOM have introduced a GNP solution not so fine before China is closed down and the deal is done. | ![]() ridicule
22/6/2018 09:13 | I was just reading up on the AIM listings Shavian The AIM is under pressure to get back to the good old days. The numbers have dropped significantly in recent years, it was 3000+ on the Aim on one point. August 2017 The fall in the number of companies listed on the market is also deeply worrying. The main market combined with Aim was at its most crowded in 2007, after a wave of listings through the early years of the century. The total reached more than 3,000 exactly 10 years ago this month. Today, that number has fallen to around 2,030, a reduction of a third in only a decade. | ![]() superg1
22/6/2018 09:09 | Grabster, Ellis et al. Re: AIM sectors. There arn’t any at the moment. AIM just divides itself into FTSE AIM 50, FTSE AIM 100, and the rest, which include all the 200+ foreign shyster companies. Currently VRS is not even listed in the FTSE AIM 100 index of top U.K. AIM companies, ranked by market cap. However the list is rejigged quarterly so we can expect an entry very shortly. | ![]() shavian

22/6/2018 09:04 | Pshevlin. If Airbus were to move wing production into EU post Brexit, all VRS would have to do (assuming Nanene needed in A350 wings) would be to establish a manufacturing facility in Toulouse or wherever the magic pixie dust is needed. | ![]() shavian
22/6/2018 08:58 | John That's why the China deal had to come out as an RNS in case we spotted what went on. NR turned up ended up at VIP events and was presented with a signing with something like 4 national TV crews there ready to film it. That's why NR went "Woaaaah WTF" (not in those terms) and changed it to an non binding LOI before signing anything. Source. NR at the last investor day. I'd already heard about it after the news though. | ![]() superg1

22/6/2018 08:52 | Trades did seem different yesterday and no late report big trades that I can see which I take is the supply. Markets were bad for the first few days so I imagine the buyer pulled orders. As some spotted at the time large numbers could be sold, no apparent trade action and then they couldn't be sold. Lovat explained why that happens. EG if US data or the like is in play then funds often pull orders until the data is out there. Which if you think about it is to be expected. Funds wouldn't want themselves exposed with orders all over the place when worldwide market sensitive news is due. | ![]() superg1
22/6/2018 08:52 | Source for VRS on national tv in China ? | ![]() johnveals
22/6/2018 08:50 | One factor that hasn't come up here and with the company to my knowledge is the effect that Brexit is going to have on VRS and what plans are being put in place if the deal is a bad one. This maybe because of the apparent closeness of management and government but that in itself can not be a reason. With the news from Airbus today who may in some circumstance move its manufacturing to the continent or even China it is obvious that business is beginning (not before time) to make it's feelings known. It would be useful, certainly by the time of results or at the AGM to have a sense as to how all this could affect us e.g. Airbus amongst many others maybe a large customer for our composites in its next generation wings etc. Any thoughts on this?(and please non of the it will be alright on the night variety!) | ![]() pshevlin

22/6/2018 08:46 | John Use filter, you know what it's going to be from lying crooks, hence I don't read it and prefer not to see others posting what has been said as it creates debate over lies. If some can't instantly recognise lies by those types on various shares over the years then they don't know their investments well enough to justify being in them in the first place. Personally I don't post anything unless I have a belief there is something behind it. Sometimes I know damn well there is something behind it but will use words like suspect and so on. If I'm speculating then I add in just guessing and make it clear I'm trying to piece things together. There are a host of contacts among Pis here and elsewhere. Hence just let those £100-£20 A "I wouldn't want to be in (short) over the weekend" risk for them. | ![]() superg1 |
