The China LSE tie up is very exciting but I hope that VRS have protection in place in the event of a takeover bid.

The Chinese and Americans would value VRS much higher. Unfortunately we have many fund managers that have not heard of graphene.
They soon will!

Sod's Law - Had a buy order in at 113.5p all morning while at work which didn't get filled. As soon as I cancel the order and buy at 114.3, the price heads down! Never mind, what's a few pence in the grand scheme of things.

Games still being played, as my 5300 pre-midday buy through HL is showing as a sell. All ready now for anything which may surface next week!

Of the scheme does extend to AIM - or if VRS does indeed go for a mainmarket listing - the fact that out-of-hours trading would be involved presumably means greater fluctuations in the opening price each morning? The UK market would presumably be expected to react to overnight trading action.

".. The system would be a “new concept of stock connect” that would allow Chinese investors to trade stocks listed in London outside of UK trading hours .."

China time is 7 hours ahead of UK time.
0800 to 1630 UK time is 1500 to 2330 in China.

Hate to be a party pooper re the stock market link up but in that article it said that the effect would actually be minimal as the Chinese can already buy UK shares if they want to via off shore accounts.

When it comes to papers and tips, most of the time that will be nods and winks from the city or large holders with contacts looking for an exit.

Some PRG folks here and there were some nods and winks by a very large holder there who having said buy, sold all of his.

No BS there I was standing next to the bloke when he said it.

CS - I was wondering about this earlier. There is a legal obligation to release certain information promptly via an RNS but the political element to this must have some effect. I can certainly see some form of coordinated announcement when the China deal is announced, political capital will be created.

Tim

That lot don't do research they just rely on lies and deceit to work on the weaknesses of herd type PIs that appear on shares.

Lying and trashing companies is easy it requires no effort at all and they know some will fall for it. I know they don't research shares as I know some things about companies they trash that they could have huge fun on if they knew. Pretty easy stuff to find so it says it all really.

They are short term punters and wouldn't want to hang around so they mass trash together to get out in fear of news.

Take TERN they have been busy there too but some will have been caught this morning. I haven't read posts but I imagine they were bigging it up yesterday when TERN hit the high 20's yesterday and goading PIs, then Oooooops 40p in flash this morning because news came.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I wonder if the Jinan/China deal is being delayed until the stock market link-up is in place?

That would also, of course, give time for a significant order for nanene/inks to arrive to boost VRS's marcap and therefore valuation for the Jinan deal. And if trading from China in VRS were to start before the valuation is agreed that would almost certainly result in a marcap boost too.

It's all so bloody tantalising...

This proposed share trading link is not worth discussing until we can see all the small print.

I for one am keen but I can't see how it helps VRS if AIM is excluded. On the other hand if VRS were to join the next rung of the ladder I for one would fight that move..........too good a tax advantage for my family holdings as the current tax rules stand and that goes for others who post on this BB from time to time.

STAY ON AIM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

SG, thank you for the Scale Up info. Just glanced so far and as said by others, VRS a shining example of the highest quality and potential. But where has been the publicity for surely one of the best and Govt. supported business initiatives in the UK? Has it been in the media, in statements from the Bank OE, Parliamentary reports, business programmes on the BBC, Govt. press releases, publicity within schools and Unis, and even the BBC Today programme dare we might hope - suppose too busy there hammering away at Brexit or the latest grant to the Arts. (Deserved, perhaps.) Or am I the only one not to have heard of it before?

Graphene oxide is the thought If you check the original guy in the reports (Aravind) his specialisation seems to be graphene oxide.

You will also find him in that hour long VRS presentation to funds some time back. It's on youtube somewhere.
