Look, sometimes we are right and timing is such that it doesn't work out. 2020 has been a series of bad timing mistakes from me in trading terms. However, I trade what I can afford to lose. Yes, all told, it's well over £100 k, but I'm still here. I'll continue to research and post on all boards I'm interested in. Life is a constant learning exercise. It's just part of the cycle.

Still holding some from a few years ago at an avg price of 170. Never seen a profit on these - wondering if I should top up to avg down at current level. Clearly missed the boat yesterday as this hasn't been on my radar.

Every million in damages etc represents approximtely 0.168p per share on the asset value of the company. Then one also has to add something to capitalise the value of an increased forward licence income stream.
On top of that there are intangibles - the psychological value of winning against GSK and the increased attractiveness of a cash-stuffed company to a predator.

See GSK didn't even bother to RNS this.

Would like to know their thoughts.

Expect a response soon.

Based on pure cash uplift from the time of the news 103p to 123p, reflects that.

What now? Would like to hear from GSK, we need them to capitulate publically.

We could also do with Hilkma with news of Advair

It's a shame that the RNS had to be posted after hours and then not highlighted this morning. It will have passed lots of people by - for the moment at least

Yes hopefully allowing fund managers in, before moving higher,
if we can get through 118.4p we should zip on.

Looking at the breakdown $110m award, $70m royalties $20m interest and costs....the royalties may swing abit each way, depend the numbers on Ellipta, which may well be higher, but this is the basis for $200m

Well done to all holders. Shame i missed out but that is the market. Surely GSK will finally let it go...

This is one i called right from 2018. Shame it shook me out in the nasty whip-saw during Covid period. That's always the issue with margin trading. That 250+ k holding i had would have looked very pretty right now.

I would prefer they hold onto the cash in these times myself.

Previous posters consider the various options for VEC being acquired. There are some potential complications to that scenario arising from the multiple agreements and partnerings that already exist.
As an alternative, and with a bulging treasury, what are the possibilties of VEC itself making an acquisition?

in 2010 only 2.8% of petitions acceptedwould mean more legal costs and interest if they lost-which would be the likely outcome

GSK could make petition to supreme court just to prolong the process , but not all petitions will be accepted. Normally supreme court will send petition back. They dont have to look into petition.
Imo for GSK go to supreme court is not good for their already very bad reputation in USA.
So they have very carefully consider this step.
They have huge litigations in US where they could loose much more money than with Vectura.
But who knows ?
Polaris, what is your view ? Your opinion highly appreciated . Thanks in advance.
