It's even worse! The RNS this morning has the trades from the previous day not the ones from 02/06/2020...double muppetry! The total number of trades and prices do not match the buyback. Tards, the lot of them!!

I agree with Popper Joe, the buyback should have little or no impact on the SP, we all have a little more of a company that's less valuable. When all the losses have been accounted for then the earnings per share will be slightly better. Clearly, the management think that a share buyback is better than spending more on R&D which fits in with the new strategy.

Well i have been in several companies with share buybacks never seems to work lloyds had one and what happened share price went down. All we end up with owning more of less. AVIVA the same.

There is no reason why the share buy-back should cause the share price to increase. We all now own shares that represent a slightly larger proportion of a company that now has slightly less money in the bank because it has bought 125,000 shares. I understand the logic of this increasing earnings per share, but VEC is currently reporting a loss. So in effect, each of our shares is now making a slightly larger loss.

Perhaps our Board are not interested in joining Ftse250 right now —although I am sure all of us who are long cannot understand why they wouldn’t want the higher profile ,trackers buying in & funds being more interested .Positive need expected imminently but possibly not imminently enough for this quarter

Yes although I think BAKK look likely to drop out, thus providing another spot. Probably still going to to miss out by a place though unless we can get up to circa 95p.
