29/3/2020 15:33 | With this company I wouldn’t rule out a sharp retrace but I think that original near 50% drop was just to severe been cash rich reasonably secure income and been in COPD must help at the moment. I sold a percentage of my low 60s purchase Friday but Will keep the rest for the moment along with my core holding since the SKP days | best1467
27/3/2020 19:56 | Yes Paul we've all been there.if only !! | pooroldboy55
27/3/2020 19:12 | Tough sitting on the outside of this i can tell you. :-( | polaris
27/3/2020 18:52 | I agree that our share price performance late in the day suggests US interest & it would be great to know who the buyer may be . | base7
27/3/2020 16:48 | Regular pattern again but no complaints | best1467
27/3/2020 10:58 | Looks like yesterday’s late rise has some legs and not just an end of day auction one off. | diesel
26/3/2020 21:59 | I dislike Vecs share price performance since my SKP shares were acquired & felt that our previous CEO just coasted along with a solid senior management team doing their jobs whereas our new CEO seems to have a plan & is building an appropriate senior management team to help achieve his ambitions.I added to my large (for me) holding & far too soon to get 'excited' as we could easily fall back but I am hoping that we are being viewed as a cash rich conservatively managed defensive stock which also has growth prospects | base7
26/3/2020 19:23 | My post on the 17th of March as proven to be a good call even at the time I did question myself but felt the massive drop to the low 60s was over done even though I dislike the company | best1467
26/3/2020 19:13 | Essential (medical) are operating also in France. One need not forget that GSK is selling inhalers left right centre. This means more royalties to be paid to Vec, maybe an additional 40 mln | qnq
26/3/2020 17:22 | Hmmm - well the share price action here is rather annoying. I couldn't keep both my miner and VEC and liquidated the VEC position. Looks like I made the wrong call given the strong bounceback here from lows. I opened new positions here in the low 60s and then took my profit a few days later as didn't want to hold over the weekend. There is definitely some US-based action going on here as the price is really moving post 1330 each day. | polaris
26/3/2020 17:16 | Encouraging large rise in share price today on moderate volume-which could just relate to a strong market or ,perhaps,News is coming which is known by the few & will soon be revealed . | base7
26/3/2020 11:04 | If Vec were to be involved in anyway with the Covid-19 Pandemic then one would assume that both the UK and French governments would expedite the processes quickly. One would also hope that the response from Vec would be charitable and responsible. | bill hunt
24/3/2020 18:54 | The only minor drawbacks are that production facilities for VEC are in UK and the contract manufacturing plan just outside Lyon in France. I assume the manufacturing plant in the UK will be allowed to continue operating, as it is medical related. France is in a more serious lockdown and it is not clear to me what the status is with the facility near Lyon. VEC have a large inventory of completed product for Flutiform and so it will not be an issue short term, unless shipping becomes the bottleneck. | polaris
24/3/2020 18:40 | The Market is likely to remain volatile but I am encouraged by our very recent firmness & hopefully I was not catching a falling knife when adding recently -although my exit aspirations are significantly lower than they were earlier this year -unless we got lucky & found ourselves collaborating on a Covid -19 solution -stranger things have happened | base7
24/3/2020 14:32 | Crikey life in the old skyepharma. | srpactive
24/3/2020 10:14 | I agree, I’ve always considered buybacks as a last resort use of spare cash, investing in the business is what creates growth. | diesel
24/3/2020 07:53 | I really hope they look to use cash for aquisitions at these rock bottom valuations. | rogerrail
24/3/2020 07:37 | Results said tranche 2 would be in Q2. There will be an announcement when it starts. Tranche 1 is complete. I posted summary last week, post 9467. | polaris
24/3/2020 07:33 | They always said it was in two parts. First part complete. They will say when second part starts. Could be any day. It's also possible that they may look to this period as an opportunity to acquire or use the money in another way. | cottonpickers
24/3/2020 07:29 | Why has the buy back stopped? | jimboyce
23/3/2020 11:18 | As expected, the share price returned to Friday level at open today. So it was clearly a US-based short closing before the weekend, buying in volume at 'best'. Seeing as it was opened at high 80s then it's a good return. Nice if you can get it. | polaris
22/3/2020 10:44 | makes a lot of sense. copd drugs, asthma, inhalers would be in demand. I still think that large order was not out of the blue. institutional trade over the day. | qnq
22/3/2020 10:35 | Check VEC's new web pages, seems exciting new venture from developing own drugs! I could not find any info on their own products?? hxxps://www.vectura. | notsowiseman
21/3/2020 20:02 | Snippet from FT article 'Hospitals are also rushing to buy more inhalers — such as those used by asthmatics — with orders up 112 per cent year-on-year. Drugmakers GSK and Boehringer Ingelheim are now rationing inhalers, according to Premier.' | cockneytrader
21/3/2020 19:59 | Reason for the spike? | cockneytrader |
