I believe that the buyback is having its effect on the share price strength and direction. I know there are a few out there who did not share my feelings when the buyback started, but it is what it is.

As of this morning JPM have bought 4437660 shares on behalf of VEC under the buyback and cancellation programme at an average of £0.8623 (total £3,826,736.95).

There is still a long way to go with the first mandate...and the second is still planned, as nothing changed to date with new CEO AFAIK. At current rate of 160 k per day then it will take another 7 trading weeks to fulfil initial mandate.

I'd expect a trading update in the first half of January, which will hopefully throw some light on progress.

I've now reached 300 k shares and will probably not buy any more longer term positions, just traders. Of course, that may change with any update.

This the first time for at least two years probably more that after a long term chart breakout when a pull back as started we have not gone back to the previous trading pattern.
Im always wary about been to positive but it does look like we finally have some momentum

Yesterday Buy Back 150000 shares - continuing on upper quantity range . Why ? Selling pressure ? or would like more at this level expecting higher price ?

In fact the new year rally in the market generally seems to have been Trumped.

Taking the chance to accumulate a few more at a price below the final action of the last full week of 2019 trading before the buyback restarts next week. There should also be the trading update sometime in the first half of January.

Dubious midday UT trade well below bid-offer that just happens to be a back test of the breakout...coincidence?

50 k added so far today at prices i am happy with. Looking for another 20 k or so.

I have a large holding which has reduced in value & flatlined since acquisition (by default via SKP).
With a new CEO,our GSK victory to be (hopefully ) ratified,expected progress with our generic program with Hikma,our continued share buy back (likely to be extended),getting closer to our final milestone)from Pacira ($32mill),apart from further progress from our existing developmental programs & products -so I am clearly committed (possibly in both senses of the word) & believe that our share price could continue its recent recovery & exceed 120p in fairly short order & possibly regain the heady heights of 150p+ as the year & positive news flow progresses

Took 10k off the table. Watched this hit the low 90s and return to low 80s too often... Happy to keep the other 15k for long term.

LOL boadicea - i should have qualified it with back to normal volumes, although that does also imply random price action. ;-)

I note that there has been no repurchase announced yesterday or today. Obviously our nominated repurchase agent gets a long Christmas break! :-D

That would also explain the increased buying volume in the run up to the Christmas/New Year week.

Now it's time to start the Christmas drinking and eating. See you all in the New Year, the brave new beginning we all hope for. :-O
