23/12/2019 13:22 | polaris (9220) - Not BACK to 'normal', I hope, but FORWARD to a 'Happy New Normal'. | boadicea
23/12/2019 13:16 | .....& 100p by the end of the year may not seem as crazy an idea as it did a week ago . | base7
23/12/2019 13:12 | We have breakout | best1467
20/12/2019 16:44 | That's a nice UT above the bid-offer spread at the end of the week and effective trading year for the masses! Into the comedy season on low volume next week. Things will not get back to normal until the week starting 6th January. | polaris
19/12/2019 16:01 | If the recent momentum continues we could be approaching 100p by 31st Dec & next months trading update will set the tone for the year ahead.I would also hope that our new CEO will buy some of shares with his cash,as soon as he is able - rather than rely on the freebies. | base7
19/12/2019 12:17 | Also, running in the background the possibility of a trade sale. Therefore all to play for. | jimboyce
19/12/2019 12:01 | Hope your right it would be a welcome change if we can finally break this range | best1467
19/12/2019 11:35 | For most of the last 18 months any prolonged price rise has been sold into by HBM. I am beginning to wonder if we have finally reached the end of their selling pressure. If so, the sustained slow buying from new entrants will continue, subject to announcements from the company, and the price will recover. The speed of that recovery will also be impacted by the buyback and outside effects, such as the GSK US litigation. Earlier in the year i hoped for a year end price around 100 p, with a fair wind. I doubt we will get there in the remaining trading days for 2019 but i am encouraged with volume and quietness of the bulletin board. I am now mildly upbeat for 2020 and if the new CEO can deliver on the strategy and the partners continue their progress with products in market and submitted then the price target will be well into the 3-figure region for end of next year. A win against GSK in the appeal, approval and launch of QVM149, VR315 and other indications for Flutiform in Japan are price drivers likely in 2020. A European approval of Exparel may also lead to the final sales milestone from Pacira to be payable in 2020, although i'm expecting that to be into 2021 at current rate of sales growth. Only 12 months or so to wait... ;-) | polaris
18/12/2019 10:25 | Approaching that crucial top of long term trading range can we break out on the upward trajectory at last | best1467
18/12/2019 08:51 | Quarterly forward spreadbet (SB), expiry date is price at the end of trading of the third Tuesday in the given month (Sep 20 for example). I trade them with IGMarkets. SBs are instruments that allow the underlying share to be traded on margin. There is an additional spread cf. that available in the market so that the SB company make their cut on any trade. Hope this helps | polaris
18/12/2019 08:37 | Hi Polaris, please kindly explain what does it mean Q SB ( Sep 20) and where its being trading ? THANKS A LOT POLARIS. | a1ord53
17/12/2019 23:16 | That's where I am at+Polaris & increasingly optimistic that 2020 could be our year of recovery, momentum building due to positive news flow & our new CEO declaring his plans & expectations | base7
16/12/2019 19:54 | Near Q SBs expire after close tomorrow (Dec). I would expect some movements and increased volumes as players try to get best price. I’ve got about 60k expiring but most are for Mar and Jun 20. Price action has been steadily building over last few days. edit I've traded out of the expiring Qlies this morning for a decent price. Re-positioned some other profits this afternoon and now holding 230 k. Will add some new far Q SBs (Sep 20) if there is any weakness in the Christmas period. Now aiming for around 300 k total holding. | polaris

11/12/2019 21:10 | I appreciate that it us apparently known that Flutiform has zero chance if ever being approved in the US as it us apparently incapable of meeting the stringent rules of the FDA.Yet it has been approved in many countries around the globe -so is there any remote possibility that it could be reformulated & represented ,possibly in collaboration with one of our powerful partners ? | base7
11/12/2019 20:05 | Sleek new website. | cockneytrader
11/12/2019 15:37 | Has it had the desired effect? | popper joe
11/12/2019 11:50 | Nice and quiet here. RE the buyback: JPM have a mandate from VEC to buyback £10 M in shares over a specified maximum period. VEC have no influence on when and how many as that would preclude JPM from being independent, which they must be for VEC to continue to operate. VEC must have the flexibility to negotiate potentially price sensitive agreements during the buyback and so the intermediary just has certain parameters and will work within that framework. We have the Christmas period coming up where trading will be limited. To meet the time period for the buyback then the average number of shares needs to be around 100 k per trading day anyway. If JPM can get them at a good price then why not? As of the announcement this AM, the buyback has totalled just over 3 M shares at 85.23 p average (just over £2.6 M). Still a ways to go for the first mandated tranche. | polaris
11/12/2019 07:47 | Until very recently there appeared to be a ceiling on the daily number of shares bought back of 100k but over the last few days that has accelerated.Perhaps our new CEO has had a good look at our position & has decided to increase the momentum, hopefully based on a strong second half, strong cashflow & in the expectation of further growth next year | base7
03/12/2019 18:37 | One could argue that companies with too much money in the bank tend to be careless with it. Look what happened to GEC post Weinstock. | boadicea
03/12/2019 16:10 | Agree popper, buybacks tend to be neutral in the short term, you could even argue that the company is devoid of ways to invest to grow or improve the business. One upside is it will improve the earnings/share figures. | diesel |
