Re the announcement: it is price sensitive information and needs an RNS. It might seem rather inconsequential but if a partner announces then so must VEC.

pob55-I sincerely hope sales of flutiform are still going up as it was sales growth that was slowing, not sales.

Pawdaw-I fear you may be right, mainly bad news since the takeover and plenty of warnings regarding Flutiform sales. I just hope, for once, they surprise us on the upside and we get a similar reaction to the results as Hikma did recently.

I'm maybe a bit sceptical but I fear that today's announcement is an attempt at a sweetener before the bitter stuff is put out tomorrow. Hopefully not, but as a former Skye holder this company has been massively and consistently disappointing since the takeover.

polaris-welcome news but yet another comment about the market in Europe for flutiform. The first excuse for slowing sales growth was de-stocking then earlier in the year it was stiff competition and now it is a challenging market. Looking forward to the numbers tomorrow, hope VEC have been over-cautious with their warnings.

Just nibbling a few here and there today. I think the 12p fall from top of trend to where we are now is enough (near 15%). As ever for me, this is a long term position. I'm not looking for a short term bounce.

A lot of action at the end of the day again. Looks like the duplicate UTs will need to be removed (edit - they have been now), but the volume is still pretty meaty. My feeling there is that it is positions closing for the weekend to reduce possible exposure to news over a 3-day period.

Monday may give us some indication as to whether the results re going to be in-line/bad/good. I honestly can't see anything other than in-line, but what do i know?

I'll be up early on Tuesday morning to read the results over breakfast and see where VEC is wrt where i think they should be. The conference call and analyst Q&A will be revealing, especially to update cf. the FY presentation and conference call.

I've been thinking about the FY presentation and the statement about the strategy going forward and the flag for news-flow in H2. If i was a prospective partner for some of the generic delivery technology then i would be dragging my feet to get the best deal, as the flagging of news-flow puts undue pressure on the company. It can only lead to share price declines the longer time passes between the statement and any news!

I'm comfortable with my long term aims and time-scales on current public information and so i do not really see any short term dips on sentiment as too worrying. However, the H1 results are the time where i look at progress re: my aims, investment case and timescales. It always pays to revisit these on a regular basis.

UT went through again twice this afternoon but now duplication removed from yesterday, so volume around 1.1M. Today it will be much lower (700K) if the duplications are removed, but interesting that the first few trades were at an artificially high price on low volume. That creates the necessary candle to reinforce the downtrend, even though almost all volume went through in a 1.5p-2p range. I'm still expecting some kind of washout to occur before the results next Thursday. For now, i have not added any as i think there may be better opportunities in the coming trading days. I'll review the action during the weekend.

Can anyone explain ( Paul ) all the ut trades at end of day it looks to me as if someone selling big time and trade's being held back so as not to effect price to much other wise we would be in the 60s.
