Don`t worry plenty of time to get a stake , especially if the predicted double dip crash sends the market ito free fall : 4500 LSE , 9500 Dow ?

But , when the tide comes back in ......this will surely be a winner .

Could the huge 0.5P surge in the share price to-day be the beginning of something bigger? Just wondering if I have missed the chance to top up.

IMO, three events will significantly move the price upwards:

1. Uganda farmdown completion (now September, according to Interims), assuming no eleventh hour material concessions.

2. Confirmation of Jubilee production ramp-up close to 120kbopd.

3. A major oil discovery offshore French Guiana (TD now expected 2-3 weeks), derisking their entire S.America acreage.

Let's hope macro economic woes don't undermine the effort.

You get used to it Tullow always under performs on good news.

Always amazes me how fibonacci friendly this share is, on standby to increase holdings.

I think this morning, looking at L2, there were lots of sell orders for today. perhaps people taking profits from yesterday. Then they cleared and the buy orders came through. I was astonished at such good results that the price dived first thing, a lesson for me as I could have picked up at a cheaper price.

Indeed; although given the oil price outlook, DNX holders were quite lucky last year!

DJ MARKET TALK: BOA Merrill Lifts Tullow Oil Price Objective

0706 GMT [Dow Jones] Bank of America Merrill Lynch lifts its price objective on Tullow Oil (TLW.LN) to 1995p from 1990p, and keeps a buy rating, in the wake of the oil and gas explorer's record first-half earnings. Tullow's "solid balance sheet, active exploration and further appraisal success in Ghana continues to offer all the right ingredients to differentiate it against peers." Says extension of key Jubilee field and addition of new development projects could easily lead to Tullow more than doubling production in the medium term. Shares climb 3% to 975p.

I think if they can finally get the Uganda deal done in September you will see sentiment completely change (market conditions allowing).
