09/9/2011 16:34 | And hopefully positive political news next week too | tomgorham12
09/9/2011 16:29 | Agreed Boobly. I bought in to this on Monday and was soreley tempted to hit the sell button a few minutes ago. But assuming that the market does'nt completely crash ............... there is going to be a lot of press coverage over the weekend. Additionally I am sure the CNOOC rumours will not suddenly disappear and then of course there is the possibility that there will be positive news re the CNOOC/Total farm down. So still a good case for more upside IMHO. Have a Good Weekend all! | chrysalis
09/9/2011 16:22 | TRT:.........Just the day traders , could so very easily soar 5%+ first thing Monday morning , after the weekend press . | boobly
09/9/2011 16:20 | Epigram - very good. Could get a big sell off in the last 10 mins as investors lock in their profits. | trt
09/9/2011 16:11 | it would be nice if it was transformational from a share price base of £15.08 (ATH) rather than the recent 52 week low of 921p. TRT Does the first tee stand for transparent? | eipgam
09/9/2011 15:54 | price has just gone up then eipgam! Commenting on the discovery, Westhouse Securities analyst Andrew Matharu said: "Given the size and prospectivity of the Guayane Maritime Licence, this is clearly a transformational discovery for Tullow, and will be of strategic significance for Shell and Total. | 85gary
09/9/2011 15:51 | Well I am sure investors will want to lock in profit and not be holding over the weekend - too risky !! | trt
09/9/2011 15:44 | 85gary.... course it's true. | eipgam
09/9/2011 15:35 | Yes, Total will have first hand knowledge of both Uganda and the French Guiana prospect. | droid
09/9/2011 15:34 | I bet all those new shareholders in Ghana are feeling quite chuffed ! | droid
09/9/2011 15:28 | today's news will lengthen the queue of suitors without a doubt | phillis
09/9/2011 15:23 | I bet all those new shareholders in Ghana are feeling quite chuffed ! | droid
09/9/2011 15:14 | Tht Chinese buy out rumour doing the rounds has just got more expensive if it was true. | 85gary
09/9/2011 14:48 | Excellent news ! End of year is not long term ;>) but, I certainly agree with 18.00 + ! (If this is not swallowed at an even higher price , even sooner .) | boobly
09/9/2011 14:10 | I'm in for the long term.......£18+ year end. | billytkid2
09/9/2011 14:08 | Time to take some profit - huge rise today off the back of the news release. Rise could well fade away come Monday morning | trt
09/9/2011 13:32 | He had his big belly out as well! Fortunately, he stopped there... Anybody seen any new notes? Davy are normally quick to analyse TLWs discoveries. | eipgam
09/9/2011 13:28 | well called eipgam....all thanks to Mike Ashley's big night out. | 85gary
09/9/2011 13:26 | just a thought....that last 12% from Tullow to Shell....not formally approved by French Guiana yet as I understand it. Stonking result this. Repsol / Tullow Jaguar next big play result I believe? Old report but interested me... | 85gary
09/9/2011 13:18 | That's a pretty wonky W, but I am pleased to see it.... Through £14 | eipgam
09/9/2011 11:48 | Thanks 85G.... I think there is also time to wait as they deepen the well and further newsflow will materialise in the short term (we've only had the bare bones of the news so far... oil discovery... 72m pay but no volumetrics or anything else). So, my guess is THIS story is not over yet. Like your idea about NOP... they certainly need a boost to their credibility. | sogoesit |
