The oil price is losing ground as nothing is happening on the retaliation expectation and as such all the oil shares are moving lower aswell.

From my point of view price testing the rising TL support (2h chart 09/12/2019, 02/01/2020 and next ??) seems likely now. If it happened today that would be 54p, but rising each day). If that doesn't hold then 50.9 seems to be a ptoential support (low from 02/01/2020). If that doesn't hold, then 41/42 is likely (gap fill 2h chart) and then a test of the low from Dec last year at 37/38 becomes a real possibility. All to watch for and in my view best not to be overexposed as this is a very speculative stock for the moment.

I'm wondering if I missed something when I went long. Looks like unfinished business at 41/42. Might be worth being very nimble as the way it has traded recently has been somewhat predictable and if it continues in the same vein, we are likely to see 41/42 and that doesn't necessarily mark the bottom.

What strategy investors take on Purchasing oil stocks

1 - Quik return in a short time
Does Quik return in a short time pay?
Not always as is the case now, the higher appetite for taking risks can turn into losses in the short term.

2 - Steady growth in profits, dividend and share price.
Buying dividend-paying integrated energy producers is a safer bet long term though returns will not be too large

Bottom Line
Investing in reliable global energy stocks that offer higher yields and stable cash flows is a much better strategy than buying volatile oil stocks whose fate is closely tied with the short-term direction of oil markets.

Keep washing the "whites" there is plenty of dirt around your funny side.

Some sugestion put yourself inside the washing machine and do not forget also the certificate, maybe then the clean up that you a looking for is sorted.
