They saved a 100m by axing dividend, which is the right thing to do, plus reduction in capex, assets still hold value and they have some good partners so personally can't see this going bust, sale of Uganda assets will come soon I think

kibes so the market always gets it wrong as you could say:

A drop in guidance of 14% wiped 70% off the value of the company after already dropping 25% following the ECO update.

I don't hold this but just wondering if it is a bargain? Free cash flow next year $150 million so on a p/e ratio of 10 that would be worth a market cap. of say $1.5 billion. However, there is round about $1 billion of debt so subtracting that leaves $500 million, which would equate to a share price of around 27p. I don't think I'll be rushing in yet. And the market for other oil companies is dire at the moment.

Sorry folks if you have been turned over. From the late trades reported it looks like big chunks being offloaded by institutions. Certainly does not look good at the open.

Are the Bonds still only down 3.5%? This is the usual sign relating to the health of a company so if the drop in Bond value is minor looks like the equity sell off is a bit overdone

$87 Down 12% on day..... Hardly the massacre there then....

Too late to short it now; that ship has sailed, sunk and been washed up on the shore. Can it be refloated?

YepFunds sold the equity as no longer income stock - Bonds only marginally down which means senior debt holders see no issue with getting paid

tahmina they do not state a concern in the update. Short term it's a gamble as there are probably forced seller but i expect buyers and predators may mitigate this.

There must be a lot of devastated people here, looking away right now. I feel for anyone long here. Absolutely brutal day. I wonder how the remaining TLW management are going to react to this.
