Bit of caution perhaps given recent volatility in OP.
Thankfully OP has held up reasonably well in US Markets.

Thanks SS - it does feel like Ghana all over again. Although this time the starting point is £2 something, not £3 something. (LoL!!!) Meant to buy some Africa Oil this morning, but forgot. Thanks for reminding me.

Thought you would enjoy it,
Gil said the Tullow team think production could be quite easy and fast track if they decide to do that,

A few things that stand out to me are Keith hill Africa oil share purchase good judge man to follow!
The quality of the survey is so good can see the bright spots,I think bodes well for the next drills.
The fact that Eco farmed down and also raised money in preparation for future drilling

Qatar petroleum ,don.t know how they managed to get in so late looks like a give away?
may be Cash for the future.a strategic partner.
For me everything perfect except SP?

Thanks for the Gil interview SS.

Gil seems to be implying Jethro is potentially similar in size to Exxon's Hammerhead (55m vs 60m Net Pay over a similar area). TLW said (or was it Gil) next well (sometime next year) will be about finding the OWC, plus a drill stem test. This will be the clincher in defining upper limit to resource. Both TLW and ECO signalling Jethro could be a stand alone development. Sounds like they already have a pretty good idea as to where OWC is, and what that implies for resources. Just need well No.2 to prove depth of oil down to OWC, and the Drill Stem Test to confirm producibility of the reservoir.
All sounds good.

Ps.... Gil also said one of Exxon's Hammerhead wells "drilled at the fence", so definitely extends into TLW's block, and maybe with a smidgeon more materiality than referenced in ECO's CPR that only ascribed 1 Km2 for Hammerhead inside our block.

We are now 10 p short of my original buying price in 2004.
At that time we only produced about 40,000 boepd, half of which was UKNS Gas.
It's been one hell of a journey. Luckily got off the train a few times and carried on, by foot. Lots of ups, followed by lots of downs. At the end of the day, we are back to square one. There can't be many more downs (other than the macro) can there? I'm coming round to a more positive view now, as per Bootycall. Good luck all - especially the long term holders.

Edit: In the time it took to write this - now 15p short of OBP. :-)
