09/3/2016 05:47 | Shorts over 85m shares still have to close. | puzzler2
09/3/2016 05:46 | ...haven't gone anywhere, but please read again what I said - note "if", "not inconceivable that" and "could" Puzzler2 - 07 Mar 2016 - 05:37:21 - 26064 of 26154 As the shorts start to close and the share price rises, those waiting in the wings will think it's time to buy, pushing the share price higher, causing more shorts to close (rinse and repeat). I think that cycle started towards the end of last week, hence the big rises Thursday and Friday. If this continues, then it's not inconceivable that TLW could make 300p by the end of the week. | puzzler2

08/3/2016 15:30 | NY Boy you've been calling it wrong on several commodity stocks over the last month's rally while many of us have more than doubled our money on several from the lows, rather than spending our time prattling on-perhaps a bit of humble pie wouldn't go amiss if you expect to be taken half seriously. Today btw looks like a very healthy, needed and welcome correction driven largely by rattled US banks and hedgies who were short taking advantage of the DOW's recent rise and the inevitable hesitancy of long investors in commodities to follow through on recent gains. imo | cumnor

07/3/2016 20:45 | So, LEONIDAS, the share price started today at 216p, headed up to 241p, before settling at 220p. That means I'm up today, as I was on Friday, as I was on Thursday etc. etc. The thing is, I haven't had to do anything, whereas you've been glued to the screen, looking for that quick bucks trading opportunity - and I do agree that today has been a good day to trade. However, there will be not so good days, where you make a bad decision and find yourself having to buy back higher, just to maintain your shareholding. Is it worth it? Is it not simpler to buy, hold and ride the oil market recovery? I think yes. | puzzler2 |
