Holding $37+ so far & now a date for a 'freeze' meeting in Russia has supposedly been set - yet to be confirmed by the Russians though

Oil headed for the longest run of weekly gains since May as Nigeria said key members of OPEC intend to meet with other producers in Russia this month to renew talks on an agreement to freeze output.

Futures rose as much as 0.9 percent in New York on Friday, taking gains over the last three weeks to about 18 percent. There will be a “dramatic price movement” when the meeting takes place on March 20, Nigerian Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu said Thursday. A production cap will help to balance the market and trigger a price rebound in the second half, said Daniel Yergin, vice chairman of consulting group IHS Inc.

He's over at Genel telling everyone to sell at 74p because it's going to 50p.Another corker.I'm not saying we've fully turned the corner yet, but it's clear the bottom was January. But it is good to see the usual suspects getting hammered on every stock they try to talk down.

Another piece of the jigsaw - the FPSO for TEN has arrived in Ghana waters




Tullow Oil remains on track for first oil at its Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) project off Ghana in the second half after a floater arrives on the field this week.
The Prof John Evans Atta Mills has made it to the field after a five-week journey from the Tuas shipyard in Singapore, project operator Tullow wrote in a tweet on Thursday.

“First oil on track for July/August,” the London-listed Anglo-Irish independent tweeted.

The unit left the shipyard in late January, heading west across the Indian Ocean, rounding the southern tip of Africa before sailing up to Ghanaian waters.

It will now be attached to nine anchor piles that will maintain its position on the field, which lies about 60 kilometres of the coast of Ghana.
